We did a DoorDash order for my birthday yesterday. Let me tell you I can't wait till I'm feeling better so that we can pile in the car and head to Hallsville to eat at Gino's. It was an hour from the time the order was placed till we got the food. When our food arrived it was hot, hot, hot!! Kudos to our driver too! I don't believe I heard any complaints from any family member. Tour of Italy, check! At first glance he was not impressed. But once he dug in, nom, nom! I dint believe I heard anything else, until "I don't think I can finish this tonight! It's so good!" Manicotti, check. Again not a word from my daughter. Spaghetti with marinara, check. I had a small portion, granddaughter finished it off. Bread was to die for, it was soft and fresh. Salad, my only complaint was I got the box with the really white lettuce and hardly any greens, oh and the peppercini as tiny as it is HAS a kick!! Moral of story: get Gino's and enjoy!!! read more

First timer and great choice. Nice, quiet restaurant, we went Sunday at 4PM. Tables were available and very nice down to earth waitress. Food was great, perfectly cooked, I had the Gino's Special - Sautéed mushrooms and onions, spicy pink sauce on spaghetti pasta and my wife had Chicken Carciofini - Sautéed artichokes, mushrooms, and onions in a white wine cream sauce over spaghetti pasta. We didn't wait long and it was fresh and hot. Tiramisu was great but the chocolate mousse needs a little more mousse to me. I didn't take pictures but I will next time. We had a large party of 40 that we reserved space for with Gino's and it ended up being over 60 for a celebration and the owner and staff services were very professional, friendly, helpful and accommodating and because we let them know ahead of time about our large party, everything went quick and we had a very pleasant experience and atmosphere . The food was very delicious and it was our first time eating there but I want to eat lasagna and Alfredo there anytime now when we are in the mood for Italian food. They also have a great wine list variety. I cannot recommend this place enough. Everyone who came to the celebration had good things to say to me about Gino's. Gino's was great. We had a group of 30, most from the NY/NJ area. Found out Gino hd lives in Morristown, NJ before moving to East TX. They handled the group well and good was great. Prices were reasonable. read more

We have eaten here over the years at every restaurant this place has been from Cancun Dave's to El Sombrero to Little Mexico and maybe another we can't remember. Well, Gino's is by far the best of them all. We have only been once so far. The bread at the start with the butter is excellent. We are Calzone lovers so we each got one: a pepperoni and a hamburger. Both were very good. Service was nice. Inside is about the same as always. A very good option now in Hallsville. read more

I wrote this review on Facebook as well: We visited this restaurant for the first time a few weeks ago. We were impressed with the friendly service, fast food delivery, and quality of food for the price. I had the chicken cacciatore with limoncello cake for dessert and my husband had the seafood Alfredo and the tiramisu. Kids had kids' servings of chicken Alfredo followed by a piece of chocolate cake. They ended up not being able to eat all of their meal and we ended up with plenty of leftovers. All of it was delicious, especially the tiramisu. These folks were previously the owners of Uncle Joe's in Longview before it burned down, so this is not their first rodeo. They use Uber eats to deliver. Pizza is delicious and so is their pasta. Have not dined in yet.

The food is very good here. It is a little on the pricy side and sometimes they are understaffed, but they are definitely worth the wait.

I went here today and got take out for my mom and I. She got chicken in a white lemon sauce and I got tortellini in Alfredo sauce. Both were very good! We also got stuffed mushrooms, yummy. The meals came with salads (house dressing is GREAT) and rolls. We ate all we could, there is enough for at least another meal for the both of us, if not a little more. Definitely will be back. The lady that answered the phone was very nice. When I got there she had a mask on. I asked if I should put mine on, found out we both got the Covid shot. Came in for a date. They were out of 2 different appetizers. We chose to go somewhere else but had already ordered a unsweet tea & a water. Literally had one drink of them and they charged $4 for the drink rather than comping it for the inconvenience. Highly don't recommend or at least call before hand to see if they have what you want. It's almost like eating at Uncle Joes. Just wish the atmosphere was as good as the food.

We went with a large group for lunch. The food was great, service was great, food arrived quickly, didn't have to wait around for the checks. I love their lasagna. Authentic East Coast pizza! Since moving to Longview, we have not found a pizza "like home". Thin crust, a sauce that tastes fresh with just a hint of sweetness, and cheese that covers the pie, but not over powers it. We will be back to try other menu items! read more

This is the former Uncle Joe's Pizza and Pasta in Longview that was destroyed by fire. The owners have relocated to Hallsville and use a different name. It's a great value. Their lunch specials are a lot of food for the money. The service is good. Management also checked on us during the meal. Is this the best Italian food I've ever had? Friend told me about this place and said the pizza was good. Drove over to Hallsville to give it a try. Hostess on phone, stood there waiting to be seated for several minutes while several servers walked out of the kitchen, looked my way and went back in. Very bad first impression. Okay, so really this review is way overdue considering how much my family and I LOVE this place. We were so glad they reopened back up after they lost Joes's to a fire. The owners are wonderful, they're just down right good people and even if it's been a while since we've eaten here they still remember us and treat us like we were in there just the day before. It's nice to go into a place where they make you feel so at home. The food is always fresh, hot and to be honest this is the BEST pizza in town. We get the largest size pizza which I believe is the 18"in. (my hubby's a big guy and can down one by himself) the rolls are hot and heavenly. The deserts are yummy , the service is outstanding and I've never had a bad tasting unsweet tea here (which I appreciate because it's consistently good, where as sometimes other places it doesn't taste so fresh or it's too strong/too weak). I would have a picture of the amazing food but I don't like to touch my phone and then my food. You won't be disappointed here! This business is a great asset to the area and I hope they are around for a long long time. read more
