RUDE EMPLOYEES- This review is for service not the food- The little girl (and I say little girl because she was obviously not a mature woman)who answers the phone there to take the delivery orders really needs to rethink her job choice because clearly she does not have any customer service skills and should not be speaking to customers- she was completely rude and pretty much took my info and then hung up on me- We actually stopped going to eat in the restaurant almost 2 years ago due to the extreme loudness in the dining room (misbehaving children) just too loud to even have a conversation and have an enjoyable meal and then when we witnessed the manager (he's a bit of a big guy) yelling at employees right in the dining room- that was the last straw so we just stopped going in there altogether.But we have continued to order delivery but I think we're done for good now- read more

This past Labor Day weekend 3 friends and I went to long beach and dined at Gino's for the first time. There isn't enough greatness I can express with our overall dining experience. For starters - the service was beyond excellent and our server couldn't have been more knowledgeable about the entire menu and helpful with the pairing of the wines with both our appetizers & our entrees. He was on point with everything. Now the food- from the pizza to the capellini cakes to my entree which was the Stuffed Rigatoni Julianna. This was hands down the best Italian food I've ever had as well as any experience I've ever had at any restaurant - FIVE STARS for outstanding service, exquisite food & wine & overall atmosphere and ambience. read more

A bit disappointed, as my friends promised me the best pizza in all of Long Beach. Based on the fact this is the ONLY pizza I've consumed in Long Beach, with nothing else to compare it to, yes. My friends are correct. However, I've had much better pizza in general. They've talked about it in the past as though it's a religious experience. I was thinking, "Okay. This could use a bit more mozzarella, actually,and I have yet to see any shining deities surrounding me..." Crowded with beach goers and locals alike, good luck finding a seat, especially come dinner time. My friends and I were relegated to getting our orders to go and eating them on a bench inside of a parking garage. (Yes. Space IS at a premium...) My slice, the Gramdma Slice, is a typical margherita slice, square - cut with a fantastic thick and crunchy crust to aptly hold up all of the toppings. The tomato sauce was good, alas, the rest was dotted with sparsely placed pieces of fresh mozzarella and a random basil leaf. Presentation was definitely lacking, but it was a tasty enough morsel. The Fettuccine Alfredo was a bit addicting, I am happy to report. I suppose my search for Long Beach's absolute best pizza will continue on my next trip back... read more

Came here today because the boardwalk food looks bland. Gino's is a block or two from the ocean and right near an Italian ice shop. We ordered two slices of pepperoni and a spinach pinwheel-all of which were AMAZING!! I'm from jersey and this was definitely the best boardwalk pizza ice ever tasted as far as New York goes. Your typically Italian pizza place. Pizza is almost always cold when ordering delivery. Wife usually orders the market salad. Way to much dressing. Order it on the side or else you'll see the lettuce doing the doggy paddle. With all that said this is the place we order from. There aren't many good options in Long Beach. read more

Now as a spoiled Brooklyn boy that has grown up around some of the best pizza in NY, I will have to give Gino's a great review...because it is just that...great pizza! If you are not from the area...do yourself a favor...get your ass to Long Beach. Take the LIRR and get out of the city for a day by the beach. When you arrive in Long Beach's station, simply cross Park Ave and hit up this delicious location for a sick pie! Then when you stuff your belly...walk up the block and hang out at the beach for the day. The sauce is delicious, the cheese so good, and and toppings are delicious. We had mushrooms (fresh ones, but the rubbery canned ones) and pepperoni. Both toppings were perfect! The service is great and everyone working there was nice and polite, even though it was a mad house with so much work to do. Loved it and I will be back! read more

This place always had great pizza and ok dining area food. But the last time I went, there was a man behind the counter yelling at the workers. He then said "CAN I HELP YOU?" I paused for 3 seconds to decide and he rudely and abruptly turned away to help someone else. The three of us walked out and went to Sorrento's. Yelling at your workers in front of guests and not showing the slightest bit of patience with guests does not keep people coming back. read more

Years ago this used to be the best pizza place. I've gone in there 3 times recently and every single time I go in the customer service was garbage, I had to wait 20 min for 1 slice (2 other people were there waiting for food). I guess I don't understand the hype. I ordered a regular slice and a sicilian slice to eat in. The regular slice was bland; cardboard-like crust, no flavor in the sauce. The sicilian was dry and same blandness in the sauce. Employees weren't rude but also weren't the friendliest. Dined here once before with my family and food was good. Went tonight and observed a maggot crawling across the table. Notified wait staff and they cleaned the table. My wife then noticed maggots in the salad! Absolutely disgusting! The salad was removed from the bill and bottle of wine that we ordered were comped yet they still wanted us to pay for the other items ?!? No manager came to check on the table not that it would have done anything. Waitress claimed all the salad was thrown away but we noticed salads come out of the kitchen right after that . Oh man. I used to date a guy that lived in LB so I was able to taste some good food out there. That relationship didn't work out and how I (occasionally) miss the food. This is place is kind of overrated but I don't really care about that. I want pizza. I always got the grandma slice which was delicious. I ate it so much it was a part of my daily diet like water and my vitamins. The tomato sauce was just sweet enough, it had some fresh herbs and the cheese was that real mozzarella not that fake stuff. Overall if you happen to be in LB you should try it. Needless to say she has a service vest decorated with my Purple Heart ribbon my desert storm ribbon and an army American flag all on a bright red vest clearly marked service dog. Right across from the Long Beach train station and a couple blocks from the beach, this is a great lunch time choice in an area w/out many. The cheese slices are very good. Crisp crust. Nice Italian spices. They've got a very good fresh mozzarella and tomato Sicilian slice as well. They are generous with the toppings as well - at least based on the sausage and pepperoni slices I've seen. The place has ample seating and you can go in beach attire. They also sell Gino's Italian Ices and Sedutto's ice cream (love the peanut butter crunch). While it would be better if the Long Beach boardwalk had more food options (more = any), I'm glad Gino's isn't too far away... read more

Delicious pizza. Super fresh. Big restaurant/space with plenty of tables to eat at. Dim lighting, as if it were meant for fine dining, which kind of threw me off. But it was clean, and the people eating there were not rowdy. A mix of regulars and kids getting off school -- it was mid-September at this point. Variety of pizza on display, and turnover was quick. I had a simple plain slice, but it was so good! Average crust -- not too thick or thin , with the perfect bite and crunch. Not overwhelmingly cheesy either. My dad's pizza had veggies and meat, and they were not stingy with either! I was jealous of his slice! They sell a lot more than just pizzas, but unfortunately I didn't get a chance to try any. On my next trip back hopefully. The staff didn't seem that friendly, but to be fair, the guy did appear frazzled or just busy, although there wasn't a line. But hey, we all have our off days. Oh Gino's, why will I never find another pizza as good as you? Living in Minnesota now, the Gino's I grew up on has pretty much set the standard for every slice I consume, and it's been a Friday night tradition in my family for quite some time. To this day, my family still orders there so much that the woman who takes take out orders recognizes my dad's voice when he phones it in. Other than the pizza, the garlic knots are a must have. They're cheap for a half dozen, and absolutely faaaaaantastic. If you're going in for sit down, their rigatoni al la vodka is great, and so are their meatballs. As for the apps, I'm not crazy about their bruschetta, but the mozzarella sticks are some fabulous fried goodness. read more

Whenever I escape from the city for a day at the beach I eat at Gino's. I've eaten here several times for dinner. The menu is unpretentious old-school Italian cuisine. The place is clean, the staff is nice and it is very kid friendly. For me, the best part of Gino's is that it is located right across the street from the LIRR station. We ordered dinner from Gino's tonight. The food was very good as always. The bill seemed a little high which caused me to look at the receipt. I was a little surprised to see a delivery charge of almost 2 dollars. Not a big deal I just didn't know they had a delivery charge.But what was more annoying was that there was a charge of just over three dollars for use of a credit card. Nowhere on their menu or website did I find a mention of it nor was it mentioned while on the phone when ordering. In these times of COVID cashless purchases are preferred. There is a pizza place near where I live, and the pizza there is good. There is an italian ice place very close by. However, when I can. I make the journey across town for Ginos. The pizza here is absolutely perfect. The sicilian and grandma slices are to die for. The vanilla chip italian ice is light, delicious, and refreshing. The staff is quick, efficient, and friendly. However, it is a huge tourist spot, and in the summer, it sucks, because all of the tourists take up the whole place, and there's nowhere to sit. I've stopped in here a few times for pizza which is always good, but this review is really speaking to the restaurant aspect to Gino's. I went her for lunch on a Sunday with a few people. The server was very friendly. He brought our table freshly baked Italian roles which were hot (perfect!). I ordered the minestrone soup for an appetizer. It was very light, yet filling. For an entree I ordered the salmon, which was amazing and large. It came with broccoli rabe, which had a lot of garlic in it. I really enjoyed this meal overall. I also tried the eggplant Parmesan, which very good. Overall , large portions, freshly made food and fair prices. Good for a casual meal. I did notice an undertone of garlic in all of the items I tried , which is great for me! But if you're not a garlic lover, I would tell them in advance so they can alter their preparations accordingly. read more

The grandma slice was fab topped with garlic-y olive oil, fresh basil leaves.. soooo damn good. It was worth going out of your way to get pizza at Gino's. But the past few years things have been different. Now the pizza is like everywhere else and the grandma slice isn't worth ordering. it is so disappointing. Staff are fast and efficient.
