Never mind the food. The people behind the counter are completely unprofessional. I am Hispanic and fluent in the language. Obviously I do not appear to everyone this way and I sure don't go around advertising my last name. But one kid from behind the counter turned around (I guess assuming none of us customers could understand him) and said "look at this one, so ugly, disgusting... turn look, look" and then 3 other guys behind the counter did look and then proceeded to laugh. It is the only time in my life I have ever seen or heard something so disrespectful. I don't know which female they were degrading there were several of us waiting to order but I would never reccomend this place having witnessed the kind of "professionalism" that is accepted there. What is happening, Gino's? You were our go-to, our old faithful for pizza, pasta, capellini cakes, whatever. The last few times, however, we've been very disappointed. It seems like we've ordered from some other pizzeria. The sauce hasn't been as flavorful and the crust has been thick and chewy. Tonight we asked for a well-done pie and we definitely did not receive that. We have NEVER minded waiting for delivery because the receiving end was one-of-a-kind Gino's. We ordered the grandma pie, which has fresh mozzarella, tomato sauce and basil on a thin crust pizza. The pizza was made fresh. It took about 15-20 mins to cook. Gino's serves up some really good pizza and offers a lot of different options for those who like to stray from the classics. I've eaten here on several occasions and have really enjoyed the buffalo chicken Sicilian as well as the sausage pizza. But you really can't go wrong with any of the choices and I often find myself coming back to plain old cheese! Since it's so close to the beach the restaurant can get very crowded, especially on the self-seating side, but since it's an easy pizza dinner most tables open up quickly enough. read more

I went here the other day with my two grandchildren and I asked for a chicken parm hero with mushrooms - I was told they "don't do that here" by the person at the counter. The cashier brought the manager up to the front and the manager had the same response. I have been going here for the last 20 years and have never had a problem with my order. What is the issue with throwing some sliced mushrooms on a chicken parm hero? Not only that, but both the cashier and manager were incredibly rude and gave me such an attitude over my simple request. The service was good but my wife and I went there n had penne a la vodka with chicken and it was plain disgusting.. It had no flavor and tasted like card board. When I first moved to Long Beach, everyone raved about this place. I've had the pizza a handfull of times and it's average at best...pricey too! Went to the restaurant recently and the food again was average. Service was slow, although they were busy. My friend ordered a dish that was swimming in sauce. After eating here and ordering from Gino's approximately 20 times I feel I can give a frank and honest review about this place. The food is OK for a Long Island pizza joint and their pizza is good most of the time. The thing that really bothers me about this place is the TERRIBLE and RUDE service. My most recent order was the last straw, however. I ordered 3 slices of pizza and a pasta dish at 9 pm. The hostess on the phone said 45 minutes to an hour. I Called back an hour later. She said the delivery had just left. Called back another 30 minutes later. She now says the guy was standing at my door and nobody answered. However, I was sitting outside my house the entire time. Nobody ever came. Then she tells me VERY RUDELY that she called both phone numbers that she had on file for me and nobody answered. When I tried telling her that nobody came to my house and nobody called either of my phone lines she began talking louder over me to repeat what she had just said! I could not get one word in to see what the issue was. She then tells me in the most impolite way that the driver is leaving now (1.5 hours later) and that I have to pay for the meal when he arrives. I refused. At no time did she apologize or say "sorry for the inconvenience". She was rude right from the beginning and did nothing besides make me despise Gino's Pizzeria. I was considering going down there to talk to the manager to see why I was being treated so harshly on the phone. An apology goes a long way...and management obviously doesn't teach their employees proper customer etiquette. I've ordered from here many times...and it seems like there is some kind of issue most times. I've had problems with deliveries on more than a few occasions but this will be the last one. I should not have to get aggravated and angry and wait for 2 hours for my order. Save yourself the aggravation and go to Pizzaiola or West End Pizza. What a DISASTER!! WE USED TO LOVE GINOS!!! They took an awesome restaurant with a tried and true menu and clientele and destroyed it! Well sadly after eating here pretty much my entire life the pizza for the most part has become egregiously inconsistent and for the most part not that great. Slices are not crisp, dough has gotten thicker and sauce not the same. The regular and grandma pizza is one of the best. Their restaurant food was surprisingly bland. I ordered a linguini dish w/tomatoes, shrimp and asparagus. As the waitress was putting it down I could see that it needed seasoning. Try sautéing a garlic and maybe an onion. I added every seasoning they had on the table (even red pepper flakes). My hubby ordered spaghetti and meatballsI knew they were going to be tasteless and sure enough. I guess they thought adding pork and chop meat was enough. read more

Love this place. Being from Hicksville (the worst food choices on LI hands down). Luckily i work in LB. My favorite dish is the Pecan Salad, a small, is a meal. I could tell the pizza was good just by hearing the crunch from the first bite. After being in a poor-pizza city like Atlanta for 3 years, having a slice of Gino's pizza is a pleasant experience...great crust and char, good sauce and cheese. Gino's is like a beacon of light when coming in on the LIRR, lit brightly so you can see it across the street from the station. You order at the counter, and then sit down amidst a mirrored and muraled walls. There also great Italian ice and ice cream (not sure if it's gelato), on the opposite side of where you order your pizza. The trays are ingenious...they have cup holders so that your drink won't slide off. How great is that? read more

The pizza was perfect. The cheese was tasty hot and stringy deliciousness. The crust was baked just right and the sauce was better than grandmother ever made. Two of us ate what i consider a sizable meal for $12 bucks. I can not wait to go back and get the whole pie. I also tried the Sicilian slice which was amazing as well. This is the best pizza in south western Nassau county, hands down. All pizza is good, some are better than others... I'm not sure what it is about this place but pepperoni here tastes better here than practically anywhere on the planet. Gelato and coffee station make this a one stop shop for a quick bite after a day at the beach. Located near the rail road for us urban dwellers. Parking is a bummer but worth it. read more
