Of course I HAD to stop by Gino's when I was visiting my hometown! I used to come here allllll the time when I lived here. It was so special to come back and show my husband and toddler how great this place is. The staff is still just as nice and I saw familiar faces which was cool. The calzones are still my favorite thing ever and they still have the BEST ranch. Gino's will forever be special to me. They just have the best food and vibes! I wish they expanded in other states because I don't have any calzones this good where I live now. Lol 10/10! Thanks Gino's!

Pizza/Calzone heaven! The options for pizza and calzone toppings here are endless! Very easy to access this pizza place inside the shopping center, tons of parking. The restaurant isn't huge, but has plenty of seating! The food came out fresh and quick! Top tier ranch as well if you're a pizza & ranch type of person! They bring it to you in a bottle so you don't run out of tiny cups. Such a good pizza spot!

They've really changed since they first opened, pizza wise. Just like in SLO, dough isn't as high quality, as it once was. Cheese isn't as high quality and the sauce, go figure, is different (used to have more flavor and spice). At least it was cooked all the way, unlike SLO last 3 times I had it! Customer service was great, love the guy who has been there in the front since the beginning, he's awesome. Clean restaurant, as usual. A lot of parking. Always welcoming and accommodating. * Used to be top 2 in the County first 10 years it was open, not anymore*

Conveniently located near HWY 101 off 4th St. in the 'Pismo Coast Shopping Plaza' by 'California Fresh Market' with plenty of parking. We ordered their Large 'Gino's Special' which is topped with 'Pepperoni, Sausage, Canadian Bacon, Salami, Bell Peppers, Olives, Onions, and Mushrooms'. The pie was sooooo yummy! They are super generous with the toppings, overflowing and everything was very fresh. I liked that the sauce did not overpower the pizza. The crust was thick and had a perfect toast to it. We also had their 'Fettuccine Pesto Pasta with Chicken'. It comes with a side of bread. This was beyond delicious, definitely the best Pesto Pasta I've ever had! There are plenty of tables and a TV playing live sports. There's also a couple of tables outside. Service was great. Welcoming and friendly cashier, he was helpful with the menu. Gino's is perfect to sit and enjoy a sports game with pizza & beer or pasta & wine. Overall, we had a good experience here and will definitely return to try the 'Calzones'.

What is going on with Gino's??? We've ordered for years, very satisfied. When they stopped using Cafe Runner and connected with DoorDash EVERYTHING CHANGED FOR WORSE! I ordered a medium pizza (now less than 10") with extra red sauce & olives and received none of the above. I paid $50 thru DoorDash and got HORRIBLE Pizza. Will never order from them again.

My dear Yelp Review Readers...do you like PIZZA? No, no...I mean do you really love PIZZA? Well if you haven't been to Gino's in Pismo Beach how do you know you LOVE pizza? You don't...cause only Gino's makes a real Pizza Pie, on the Central Coast, that will blow your mind! I am a many time patron and finally now...after many pizzas ordered for large company events and personal family dining, a first time reviewer and I should have written this review a long time ago (keeping in mind there are many, many Pizza "joints" I had to try...just to make sure I was getting this right). Doesn't matter which pie you order from Gino's...it's gonna be FANTASTIC! Thick Crust please. This order was the Gino's Special (5/5 - two words...simply put, "Freakin Awesome", no other way to describe it). Lots of toppings to choose from and generously portioned on your pie...create your own or select from the "themed" Pizza Pie creations. Pasta, Calzones, Salads, Sandwiches, Gino's Side Bites and Standards, as well as, Chicken Wings are also all on the menu. Easy to find (frontage road), ample parking, clean restaurant with lots of seating in the dining area and friendly staff...Gino's is the perfect venue for "take away or dine in". On this occasion (as well as many before), in this Yelper's opinion...Gino's Pizza in Pismo Beach truly earned this "highly recommend - come one come all...Pizza lovers, Connoisseurs or if your new to the pizza game" 5 Star review.

The flavor is good, but it's always dry. There is never enough sauce. Wish it wasn't so inconsistent.

5 star all day! great atmosphere…read more service was top notch. food was fresh and super delish. highly recommend!!

While staying in Pismo with family, they wanted to take us to their favorite Italian restaurant and…read morewe chose to have dinner in the Cucina...they have another location right next door, which isn't as "fancy" as their sit down place. Tables covered with white linen as well as linen napkins, stepping up the ambiance. Our server, Maricella, was great, friendly, and very attentive. We started with their Caesar salad, which is made with fresh, largely torn romaine lettuce and covered with both grated and shaved parmesan cheese. There were a few crutons scattered and we opted to add anchovies to our salad. I also asked for extra dressing because typically salads don't come with much and I'm a dressing gal! Ok, so the salad itself was great and fresh and the anchovies were good and not greasy or fishy tasting. The dressing was an issue and I really didn't care for it. Wife said it was "ok" but we've had way better dressing elsewhere. She chose the Ravioli di Zucca, which was a butternut squash filled ravioli with a sage and parmesan cheese sauce. I thought it was a bit sweet but she liked it. I had the Linguine Vongole, which came with a housemade pasta that was more like a thick spaghetti noodle as opposed to the typical flat linguine noodle. The bowl was full of clams; found some to be a bit tough and overall I think the sauce could use a ton more lemon flavor! It was good but family had ordered the Nonna's Meatballs and that's where I would go! Something with their incredible marinara sauce because it is the bomb! Such a great balance of tang and sweet and just good flavor. I also want to talk about the bread and dip they serve at the beginning of the meal...oh my gosh! The bread is sliced super thin with a soft inside and that wonderful tuggy outter crust. The dip is a garlic (lots of it!) and olive oil mix that you can spread on the bread...ok, we ate a lot of this! Daughter also ordered the brussels sprouts, which were roasted to perfection and topped with pecans, goat cheese, and a honey Dijon vinaigrette. These were some of the best sprouts I've had! We shared the Spumoni for dessert, which was good and different! There was a layer of cake along with layers of chocolate, pistachio, and vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of the cherry sauce and sprinkle of mini chocolate chips. The dish is good and needs much more of that cherry sauce! Overall a good meal and next time we doing the Club instead...much less fancy and a smaller menu of offerings.

I'd heard of this "side" location on the news a few months ago...and today I had a ride down to…read morePismo for dinner. It is a very slow Tuesday evening prefect to give the place a Yelp! I walked right in and sat at the bar, there are about six large high backed booths and a few tables scattered in between. The menu is very simple; sandwiches hot or cold, salads and pizzas, and slices. The bar looks pretty friendly, I wouldn't call it a neighborhood dive but certainly a great "date" spot. Looks like a well stocked deli case with stuff and a few shelves with other goodies for eating. I ordered the Hot Italian Chop Sando $16, basically a heaping of the Italian chop salad on toasted bread. It was good, could do with more of the italian meats dressing flavor was good. I had to check out the deli case to find my desert, looking real pretty was a genuine carrot cake. Three thinish layers with butter cream frosting which was not overpowering sweet. $10 okay that makes the cake worth about $100, meaning it was a thin slice. Both were really just enough, portion control is a new behavior for me... I'll be back for some pizza, maybe bring a date too. Always top quality in their products created and served in their locations, I've never been unhappy. Thanks, Foodguy-martin

The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and both our waiter and the rest of the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. As soon as they noticed we had a child with us, our waiter immediately offered to set up a high chair, which was a thoughtful touch and made us feel well taken care of. When it came time to order drinks, I mentioned I was craving sweet tea. Although it wasn't on the menu, our waiter happily offered to make it for me. That level of hospitality truly stood out and made the experience even more enjoyable. My husband was in the mood for Italian food, while I wasn't initially craving it. However, after such excellent service, I decided to give the menu a closer look, and I'm so glad I did! The clam chowder was absolutely delicious without a doubt one of the best I've ever had. It's a must try! Overall, the food was excellent, the service was outstanding, and the staff remained attentive throughout our meal. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely be returning. Highly recommend! (5/5)

BEST RECOMMENDATION It's a little off the beach path but well worth it. They had many big screens with the game playing. The server tried to change the language from Spanish to English but no success. Has to change the channel but it was fine. We had the combo pizza with a pound of medium wings. The wings were served with enough crisp and just enough sauce. They were really tasty. The pizza was made with fresh ingredients and the crust was perfect. Not greasy. We took leftover pieces back. We would be back when visiting Pismo. Very low key, good vibe and efficient with a smile service. Highly recommend

You've heard my driving someone somewhere story... 10:40…read morethis lovely evening in Pismo, just dropped a flight crew at the hotel and I was done. Hum late dinner or early snack? There was Me & Ed's, its Saturday night they gotta still be open and there was my parking place. So I went over and looked in, ah couple folks still sittin' around. Ok looks decent enough and in I strolled. I had a look about, ok guess I order here at the counter. Menus were there a the counter and hanging above too. I was pleasantly greeted and I asked if they were still cooking? Defiantly a Pizza Night, the "personal size" was too small. I ordered a small pie 12", Pepperoni and black olives please. Thin crust? yes he said our original pizza is on a thin crust, perfect. I grabbed a cup for soda and helped myself. I sat and caught my breath, thinking about I don't what when the pie arrived, nice. Looked great, good toppings coverage, cooked just right, and friggin hot. You know tearing the slices apart is gonna be stinging hot and the first bite will melt your mouth...here goes. Perfect, great melt on the cheese, good flavor on the sauce. Top Notch Mate. They served the pizza to me in a pizza box so I knew my time here was limited. Nevertheless I scarfed halve of it and literally had the remaining for breakfast. [ my trick to reheat pizza is to throw it into a large fry pan and cover it, low heat.] I don't eat pizza or pasta that much these days (carbs) but I'd be back here for another pie anytime I'm in the neighborhood. Thanks guys dinner was great! Foodguy-Martin

We were seated outside immediately, and the staff even rearranged tables to comfortably accommodate our group. Our server was friendly, checked on us frequently throughout the meal, happily brought to-go boxes when we were finished, and was very accommodating to both us and Bailey. She also brought Bailey a water bowl after we asked, which we appreciated. One thing that stood out was that we weren't initially offered waters for the table. It felt a little unusual that each of us had to ask individually before receiving water, especially since that's typically one of the first things brought to the table. My mom and aunt enjoyed using the self-pour beer wall, where you load a beer card and pay by the ounce, my brother ordered a soda, and I had a cocktail. It just seemed like a missed opportunity to make a better first impression. The food was definitely the highlight. We started with the giant Bavarian pretzel, which was a great appetizer for sharing. The only thing we would have changed was having a little more cheese sauce because the pretzel is so large. My brother and I split the Cowboy Mac & Cheese, and paired with the pretzel it ended up being the perfect amount of food for both of us. My mom enjoyed her burger and fries, and my aunt's birria tacos looked incredible with the consommé for dipping. Everything we ordered was flavorful, well prepared, and generously portioned. After dinner, we loved being able to take Bailey for a walk thanks to the nearby beach access, which made for a really nice way to end the evening. My only real disappointment was the patio layout. The ocean views are mostly reserved for the indoor dining room, while the main patio faces Highway 101. There are only a couple of outdoor tables with an ocean view, but they don't have umbrellas. Since it was a warm afternoon, we had to choose between sitting in the sun with a view or sitting in the shade without one, so we opted for comfort. It feels like adding a few umbrellas to those ocean-facing tables would make a huge difference and allow more guests to actually enjoy the coastal setting. Overall, we had a great meal with friendly service, good food, and a welcoming atmosphere for Bailey. With a few small improvements to the patio and a stronger first impression by offering waters to the table, this would easily be a 5-star experience.
