Food and service is great. Rice balls and penne vodka are fantastic. I also had the gnocchi's which were also amazing.

Once you eat any food from the here you would died when you try any food from pizza to soup. And trust me I had some of the food from gino's and I had to share with family becasue I was getting so full. And I live so close by so I can smell the food. read more

So I placed an order at 3pm on a Sunday through grubhub. It said it was going to take an hour I said okay even though I'm a mile away it's a Sunday afternoon they are busy. So after 4pm I contacted grubhub who contacted Gino's and told them my food was about to leave and was fresh. So about a half hour later my food comes and i get it upstairs to discover my wings, onion rings, fried chicken, and mozzarella sticks were ice cold and soggy. My pizza was Luke warm at best and soggy so I proceeded to throw away everything but the pizza and recook it in my oven. I contacted grub hub to tell them my food took 1.5 hour and came like crap. So they called Gino's and Gino's said since I paid cash the driver would come back and issue a refund which I thought was fair or I would have taken new hot food but that's what they offered. Well they never showed up with my refund. So Monday morning i contacted grubhub again and they said they would calll Gino's when they open. I got a phone call in the afternoon saying they would only offer $15 refund and that's all they could do. Even though yesterday was offered a 100% refund. So needless to say as a new nutley resident they burned the bridge with my family and I. I told grubhub the owner can keep his $15 because he definitely needs it more then me if they want to keep delivering 1.5 cold soggy pizzza. read more

Very nasty girl answered the phone with a non American voice who talked so fast I couldn't understand her. When I asked her to slow down she started talking as if she was retarded. Nice customer service she was such a bitch. I have never been back. That place is going down hill after all these years because of the counter girl. This place was ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!!!!! With all capital letters! If you like overly greased, paper thin, bland, pizza where they get you order wrong but charge you for the extras!!!! You never received! Plz go to GINOS! I ordered pizza and it made me and my GF sick to our stomachs and btw we had a movie date after and couldn't even enjoy the film because we felt our insides trying to explode and burst out of our stomach! Ooh and the snapples we ordered in the front that looked Soo appetizing (2 strawberry kiwis) were old!!! Only after drinking and noticing a stale taste for juice (never experienced that b4 eating there) did I realize it was EXPIRED! BTW I'm not over exaggerating with the pizza and me and my girlfriend ordered two different things one pepperoni (which sucked a$$ and had 3 pepepperonis on it) and two supposedly extra cheese slices that came without it! Delicious Pizza each and ever time. I usually get a small pie and hot hero when I order and the taste never disappoints. On a few occasions, I've had a sit down meal in the small but cozy dining room.I'm not into decor and don't typically care that much as long the food and the service are good. I LOVE this place! Their hamburgers are good but if you ask for well done they're burnt on the edges sometimes. But their grilled chicken salads are AMAZING! I would definitely recommed that. I've been going to this place since I moved to Belleville a few years ago and every time it's worse. Not so much the food which I have to say is AVERAGE but the customer service/counter help. Many of the girls are rude and unprofessional including the owner who doesn't even greet you as you come in. Despite this I continued to order ONLY take out from this place until today. I placed an order for delivery - 1 chicken parm (for me) and 1 eggplant parm (for my fiancé). Delivery time was decent. As my fiancé cuts into her supposed eggplant parm she realizes it's chicken parm instead. I decide to call back while my fiancé finishes the piece she cut into because well she was really hungry. The girl answers the phone and I explain the mistake. Instead of an apology I get a, "Well I read the order back to you and you said it was OK." Um, no you couldn't have read it back to me because I wouldn't have OK'ed 2 chicken parms. She must have realized she made the mistake and quickly says "Oh you ordered the eggplant parm with the salad. Hang on". Still no apology...instead she comes back on the phone and says, "Did you eat any of the chicken parm?" WTF!!! Why yes I did!!! My fiancé cut into it thinking it was eggplant parm and ate the piece she cut! How else would she have known it was or wasn't eggplant parm. At this point, it's taking a lot of self control not to get pissed off but the smart girl on the other end says, " I understand. We'll send you the eggplant parm but you'll have to send back the chicken parm." I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF SUCH A THING! Never received an apology by the way. Eggplant parm arrives 15 min later. Awesome because now my fiancé is starving. We're eating and my cellphone rings. It's Gino's calling. 2 rings and it stops (she must have realized it wasn't a good idea to call a customer back to question them about anything when they made the mistake) before I could get to the phone. I should have listened to my fiancé and not called back but at this point I'm fuming and call back. After about 7 rings (I'm sure they didn't want to pick up when they saw my number) a customer friendly lady answers (enter sarcastic tone here). She has the audacity to say, "Yeah, I noticed you ate a lot of the chicken parm that was returned." Yup I flipped out. How quickly we change our tone. "It's OK sweetie. I just wanted to make sure there was nothing wrong that's why I called back. No the manager's in the back he can't come to the phone right now. There's no problem". What a difference from the lady who answered the phone a few minutes ago. We will NEVER order from this place again. so there are really three types of mom and pop pizzerias (franchises get no love here): the run-of-the-mill, average, unmemorable, cheap ingredients, carelessly assembled, get your slice, pay, get out and shut up. that's about 80% of privately owned, volume-driven pizzeria's in my book. the next tier represents the above average: the ingredients are of better quality, they take pride in their food and it shows. it may cost a little more but it's worth it. they've been in town for a while and their customer loyalty speaks to that. that's about 15% of pizzerias. the final top 5% are truly outstanding, utilizing coal or wood burning ovens which only slip out the beloved, slightly charred Margherita. real moz, sometimes made in-house, fresh basil, and incredible sauce. this trilogy, with an awesome dough recipe, is as close to pizza heaven as you can get. anyway, i digress. Gino's falls into the second category, no small feat, at their Washington Ave address for at least 3 decades, with a major makeover about 5 years ago. my go to is their sausage n pepper pie which, if you're picking up, takes them about 1/2 hour to make, keep in mind. they've nailed this combo for me, everything works perfectly - there isn't too much or too little of anything; this pie is solid. even better reheated via toaster oven the following morning. i haven't tried any of their entrees but i hear the chicken/veal/shrimp parms are very good. While Gino's might not be worth a state-wide road trip just for their pizza, if you're a town or a few away, i would call it in, drive carefully, and by the time you get there you'll be good to go. read more

As a former customer, once turned off by bad service, I figured maybe things had changed. I was wrong. Upon receiving my order, I noticed all the bags inside my $50.00 order were wet. From there, it only got worse. I began opening bags to find not just sauce but several stuffed shells had leaked into the bag. The lid on the mussels had been crushed in, causing all the garlic filled marinara to rise out of container. As well as the chicken parmigiana dinner which no longer had mozzarella attached, as it was stuck to the lid of container. Holding in all my vulgarity, I called Gino's back only to further be floored by the response. "Sorry our driver did that to your food. We didnt send it like that" ..The food was in such a sloppy disarray, it couldnt have possibly been the driver. The driver was the only pleasant part of the transaction. He even offered to return tip when he returned for food. A nice Sunday dinner turned into 4 people no longer having an appetite. 6 containers in total forced into a cardboard box not big enough for 2, that was the issue. The lack of responsibility taken by owner/manager over the phone, was enough to make me not ever vary from Parkside or Vinnies in Bloomfield. Truly cant believe he tried to blame his employee for such a sloppy leaking mess. If the driver did 70mph the whole way, the food wouldnt have been this bad. Only upon requesting my money back, did I finally hear that theyd replace order which would only take about 20mins to be at my door. Meanwhile it took an hour and 10 minutes to get first mess. I would use caution if ordering for first time or if you have company over as I did today, because the embarrassment is unimaginable when your food arrives and is unedible cause its all read more
