The Reunion Class of AVHS Class of 1965 had their 60th Reunion at Gino's Restorante in Lancaster. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The entire restaurant was decorated with black table clothes and red napkins (which our the colors of our school).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food and service was wonderful, there was a separate bar with a full bartender just for our class serving beer and wine, and all specialty drinks. We even had Lemoncello Cake for dessert. We did a buffet that was quick and delicious for our large group. Our Committee worked for a whole yearto prepare for this even. We did not anticipate the large turnout, and Tony, (the owner of Gino's) flexed everytime we kept adding extra people. While visiting Lancaster we decided to give Gino's a try, mainly because of the location, it was very close to our hotel. It ended up being a good choice! We started with a meatball appetizer, it was very tasty. From there we moved onto entrees. The kids had pizza & spaghetti; both were reported to be very good. My wife had cheese tortellini with vodka sauce and I had a calzone. Our dinners were very good, too. There was also live entertainment when we were there. The solo artist played many instruments and sang. He actually did all of these things well. Very enjoyable! My husband and I love coming to Gino's West for dinner and live music, and we haven't been here to dine in since COVID-19 reared its ugly head. We have picked up meals to-go, but there was still something missing. We decided it was time to go and have a proper dining experience, and it did not disappoint! Tonight as part of an AV Restaurant Support Group Facebook page celebration of soups for the month of October 2021, their chef made his "off-menu" creamy mushroom and Italian sausage soup that is more like a bisque. Rich, creamy, and very delicious. My husband who doesn't usually get excited about soups said it's the best he has ever tasted..in his life! That is some high praise, people. We always have to share their meat antipasto salad with house dressing and ranch on the side. Good, quality meats, crisp, fresh produce and their house dressing is excellent! You can also buy a bottle to take home with you. We shared their Supreme Pizza and had them add the extra spices that typically come on a Gino's Special. Great crust, generous toppings.. we had to take half of it home. If you've never been to Gino's, do your tastebuds a favor and go ASAP! My husband and I attended the Palmdale High School Reunion at Gino's on September 25. We had a wonderful time and the food was great. Gino's did a great job setting up on the patio and playing the oldies but goodies music. We all sang and had a great evening. This was our second year attending and hope to attend many more. I'm so sad the service was poor...never around until the bill was given,then just stood there ... waiting. The food has changed.. it was barely warm.. sauce was non-existent... We enjoyed delicious food for dinner on 2/7/2026. We had 6:15 p.m. reservation for 4. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were quickly seated in a comfortable booth.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was rather full but it looked like the main large group had finished eating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Waitress Regina brought us drinks. But then she disappeared for a long time. After finally getting to order, the food was a long time coming. We weren't served the first of our regular menu dishes until 7:39 p.m. Each dish came to the table separately so that one person was more than half finished eating before another got his food. We had to go to the front counter to request more salad dressing. Three times we had to flag down alternate staff to get water/tea refills. We saw Regina only 3 times during our delayed meal - to order, to get our dishes, and to get the bill ($72 for 2 of us with no alcohol). We were celebrating a special occasion which was marred by lack of basic table service. Next time we will celebrate elsewhere. Good food is not enough to overcome bad service. read more

Went here for the first time recommended by a friend and our server was Chris. He was very helpful and honest. We had the lasagna and the chicken marsala and both did not disappoint. It was really good and glad we came to have authentic Italian dishes that ended up being their signature dishes with recipes they never changed for decades. My family has been visiting this place for years! Lots of birthday parties, retirement parties, date nights, and family nights. I moved away to Maine but come back each year for a visit. This place seems to have gone down hill a bit. The service and experience just isn't quite the same but certainly not bad. The food was okay. My dad's Lasagna was burnt; he could hardly chew through it. My mom enjoyed her pizza and my brother enjoyed his fettuccine Alfredo. I enjoyed my dinner as well; penne pasta with garlic and olive oil. Wine was okay. The wine list has gone way down hill. My brother enjoyed his cappuccino! read more

We decided on Italian for dinner but did want to go to a chain restaurant.....wanted something more authentic. Our order: Angel hair pasta with meatballs, chicken piccata, dinner salad and breadsticks. Everything was delicious! We ended out meal with a crème brûlée and tiramisu. We walked in just before 7pm, had another party behind us push their way to the front of the line, INTERRUPTING the party at the front and the host, like they were more important than anyone else in the place. There were about five parties sitting, waiting to be seated, before they started a waiting list (15 minutes after we got there). We were seated about 25-30 minutes after we got there. The complementary bread was not given to us until after our meals arrived, about 50 minutes after we were seated. Others were seated after us and received their bread shortly after they were seated. When our waiter took our drink orders, he brought out half of our drinks, the other half was water, and the hostess served our waters as our food was being served. read more

What a special experience for these 8 & 9 year old girls! He proceeded to take them back to the kitchen, 1st- proper sanitation, then on to the personal pizza making it was! What a fun experience! Heather even conveniently brought my beverage to the kitchen while I recorded the whole experience! Food was on point and the portions were MORE than generous!!! Like down to the details of a legit al dente noodle which is RARE! When the pizzas were done, the girls were welcomed back to the kitchen and got to cut their own pizzas - so fun! Very surprised to find this restaurant only aggregates 3.5 stars. In a dirty mall that desperately needs an update and paint job. Walked in and saw carpet on the floor and was a little skeeved, and in Palmdale where good food goes to die I thought "My clueless friends that rave about this place are idiots". Was very surprised at the quality of the food and service. Carbonara portion was huge and very tasty. Garlic bread was great with the marinara and the shrimp appetizer awesome. Gino's is totally amazing!! The food is so delicious!! The waiter, Chris, is absolutely amazing!! He has changed the dining experience! We stopped going a couple of years ago because the service was so slow. But we decided to give it a try again. So glad we did! We had a party of 12 last month, and were in and out of there so quickly! We went in today with 16 and were done and out in exactly 1 hour! We highly recommend Gino's! I'm not sure why this place doesn't have five stars but it was great! 10/10 recommend! I've been here once before but don't really remember the experience. It's beautiful, with plentiful space... we were greeted as we walked in. Our waitress Saberlee was AMAZING and friendly. Didn't have to ask or need anything. She cleared the table and got refills as she saw needed. All the food was full of taste. We got a antipasto salad for one, a tortellini pasta with minestrone soup, mozzarella sticks, small super pizza ( I think ) and garlic bread! Nothing disappointed, everything came out pretty fast and the portions were probably enough to serve 4. Can't wait to come back to try some other things. read more

The service was OK... the atmosphere was OK... the food was lackluster. I heard the big baron calzone was so great. Sorry but no pizza sauce and no lubricant "garlic spread" on top equals dried out crusty chips. I was literally saying... what was the hype about. This is horrible... boring and flavorless. My wife had the chicken with alfredo sauce and said it was very low in flavors. We were very disappointed. For 110.00 we expected more but we're left saying... umm not again. read more

This pizza experience wasn't a total loss because the delivery guy was polite and apologetic. November 2020. I call to order a pizza. It was midweek and I was having it delivered to my motel. I'm told that I should get it in under an hour. I'm cool with that. I also asked for parmesan cheese, chili flakes and paper plates and napkins. No problem. I look forward to eating after a long day of driving. After an hour and 15 minutes a call for a status update. I'm told it's ready and about to go for delivery. Okay.... 30 minutes later I call and an told that it's still sitting in a warming area and ready for delivery. Then I'm put on hold for a long while. I hang up and call again. I explain that I'm concerned that the pizza will be soggy since it's been sitting for 45 minutes. I'm assured that, "it will be the best pizza". The pizza arrives around 2 hours later. NO NAPKINS NO PAPER PLATES NO PARMESAN CHEESE NO CHILI FLAKES ....and the pizza was warm and SOGGY!!! Imagine trying to pick up a soggy slice of pizza and eat it off of a tissue paper!!! I called them and the empolyee said the supervisor said to come for lunch the next day and he will "comp" us sodas. The experience sucked! It would have be ok if the supervisor owned up to the mistake. Maybe even give us the damn pizza? We ate that night using tissue paper and cloth face towels. But we still tipped the driver well. I ordered meat lasagna hoping to enjoy a rich meaty flavor, but it was difficult to find the meat in the dish and there was NO ricotta cheese. I am accustomed to having meat lasagna with ricotta cheese. read more
