    Sun-kissed Splash Cocktail
    Lorie C.

Came on a beautiful Friday night around 6:00 and was able to sit outside overlooking the water. We were able to snag the last table with an umbrella. As the patio has full afternoon sun I would suggest they offer more umbrellas. There were plenty of other tables available but everyone wanted the shade on a hot day. There were 3 of us. Two shared the calamari and ordered the perch dinner and said it was good. I ordered the Sun-kissed Splash cocktail and it was very good. I ordered for dinner the coconut shrimp. They give you 8 pieces as an appetizer which was plenty for me as a dinner. They were good, not best I've had as shrimp texture was a little soft. Our server was fine. But more help is needed clearing/cleaning tables and the ground especially being outside attracting flies. It is a beautiful setting on the water. That was the main attraction for me.

A sports bar but with gourmet food menu is how I would describe this place plus excellent views if you're dining outside during nice weather. I was impressed with their menu it was some classic dishes but some elevated choices like the goat & fig flatbread which was really good. The short rib and pork bolognese was delicious and very meaty. If they aren't making their own pasta they are definitely using a very high quality pasta. The salmon was good but needed a little more salt to balance out the flavor. And last but not least which was the recommended by our fantastic server is the Oreo peanut butter cup. Decadent and delicious, smooth peanut buttery filling with Oreo in a chocolate shell. I would recommend to anyone who loves chocolate and peanut butter.

Where do I begin. I'm writing this after leaving from sitting 50 minutes with only being acknowledged by the busboy (who was fantastic). We stood inside for about ten minutes with literally nobody saying a word to us until one waitress came in and yelled across the room to seat ourselves. Take note of the sign in the photo attached that says Please Wait to be Seated. So, we went outside to a dirty table (the busboy promptly cleaned it and was super nice to talk to). From there, I had to ask a waitress who was nearby for menus after 15 minutes. Finally, 40 minutes into our lovely experience, another server asked if anyone had been to us and took our drink order. After another ten minutes, the menu girl from earlier (who was serving the table next to us mind you) asked us if we had been helped. We told her not to worry that we were leaving. We did see the other server with our drinks as we left and told her not to worry about bringing them and she seemed genuinely shocked we were leaving but apologized. This was our first time here and definitely will be our only time. Can't rate the food as we were never even able to order!

Heard this place opened up this summer and had the chance to finally check it out! Was greeted with friendly faces had a beautiful bar to hangout at if you'd like. We chose to hangout on the patio where it looks like they have plenty of space and even area for live music. Service was great during lunch and everything the came out tasted great. This is going to be to be a new favorite spot nearby!

Went here to meet up with some new friends. Surprised they had a good amount of vegetarian options. Could have a bit more for us but the vibe here was good. Great patio and nice music playing inside. The service bit slow and took a moment for the food. Would not mind retuning her for a few drinks and nice view of the water.

As a local, I was so excited to see Gino's open up again last year! The ambience is fun with their live music and DJ's and they have plenty of outside seating that gives you beautiful lake views! I have been many times for the pizza which is delicious and they make the dough in-house. The Bianca Pizza and the veggie pizza are my favorite!

Well, good view outside for sure. Vast outdoor area that can accommodate large private parties. Bar outside. Staff great. Ladies were young and cheerful and helpful. Food good. Nachos looked amazing. Filet Mignon hit the spot. Crème Brulee was delicious.

Horrible service. This place deserves to be out of business. The view is better than the venue.

Good service, bar food, beautiful view, dirty place. Tables not cleaned, dust on the menus, staff not working, dancing in the halls.

He helped me figure out how much food I needed to feed my guests. I ended up going with a cookout-style menu. He made great suggestions, like replacing regular size burgers with sliders to appeal to adults and kids, and they could get a taste of everything else that I was serving. The sliders, toppings, buns, and chicken breasts were arranged so beautifully that I put away my serving platters and set out the takeout trays. The food was delicious and a lot of my guests commented on how nice everything looked and how good the food tasted. The price was very fair and I didn't have to cook or clean much. Pasta and salad sides also were fair priced. All the proteins were gluten-free, dairy, free, and nut free. I will make a note, we didn't discuss temperature of the burgers so this was my fault, and I am only stating so that anyone else who orders makes sure to add that to conversation. the sliders were pink inside. I will order them well done next time, no pink, for the sake of them being in a warmer for the duration of the party and keeping leftovers for the next day. The leftover chicken and sliders were just as good the next day.

Both meals were delicious, fresh, and very satisfying. The weather was beautiful, and we really enjoyed sitting outside on the dock watching the boats come and go. It created a relaxing atmosphere that made the experience even more enjoyable. It wasn't overly busy, and the service was fairly quick. Our server was pleasant and attentive when we spoke with her, and I could tell she was taking care of multiple tables. My only real complaint was that our drinks weren't refilled very often, and we had to ask for refills rather than having them offered proactively. It's a small thing, but I do appreciate having my soft drink kept topped off during a meal. Other than that, the experience was very positive. The prices were reasonable, the food was excellent, and the waterfront setting was fantastic. We'd definitely return and would recommend Bumpers Landing to anyone looking for a relaxing meal by the water.

UPDATE after multiple visits:…read more Now that I live nearby and have been to Bumpers Landing multiple times, my original impression has definitely changed. At best, this place is mediocre--and that's frustrating because the property itself has unlimited potential. The waterfront atmosphere during the summer is easily the best thing Bumpers has going for it. When the outdoor areas are open, it's a great setting. Take that away during the colder months, though, and it starts feeling like just another neighborhood hole-in-the-wall bar. The food is decent but nothing memorable, and the service has consistently been mediocre. A lot of the staff seem like they've been there forever and are simply going through the motions. There's very little energy or hospitality that makes you excited to come back. The culture also seems to revolve heavily around the owner, Paul. There are references to him throughout the bar, including a custom neon sign joking that knowing Paul won't get you a discount. I've also personally watched him enter the restaurant with what felt to me like a "local celebrity" presence. Maybe some regulars enjoy that, but to me it comes across as more ego-driven than guest-driven. I've also noticed political messaging displayed within the business. Regardless of whether I personally agree or disagree with those views, I don't understand the business decision. A restaurant should be somewhere everyone feels welcome. Why potentially alienate paying customers over politics? From an operational standpoint, the biggest issue I see is culture. During my most recent visit, one of the apparent leaders was running around helping serve food and handling whatever needed to be done, which I respect, but the overall staff still had very little energy. It feels like a bar that happens to serve food rather than a restaurant/bar actively trying to create a memorable experience. That's the disappointing part: the location itself could be incredible. Bring in fresh leadership, reinvigorate the staff, improve the food and service, create some actual culture and energy, and take full advantage of that waterfront property. This could easily be one of the best neighborhood bars in the area. Right now, though, I wouldn't recommend it. There are other waterfront options competing for the same customers, and a great location alone isn't enough. Bumpers has all the ingredients to be something special--it just needs an operation that lives up to the property.
