Absolutely love this restaurant! The Endless Special, $14, is the best deal in the Universe. Sushi such as White Tuna, Salmon, Eel, are so delicious. Everything is well made! Maki, hand rolls, appetizers, there's a huge array of dishes, some of them Chinese, and all available in the Endless Special deal. This place was great! A friend recommended it to us and we loved it! Our table was full of sushi loving folks, so it was an adventure to try a bunch of standard and creative specialty rolls. We had very good service. The staff was friendly and attentive. The restaurant encourages you to finish each course before ordering your next course (which makes total sense for the "all you can eat" but let's not waste food aspect). Even with holding off to order our next selections, we never waited more than a few minutes for the next round to be served. Everything was fresh! 3 stars because this place is so hit or miss! We have been there 3 times now. The first time was horrible, any of our food ordered from the kitchen was burnt on the outside and undercooked inside, and any sushi took forever, but this was shortly after they opened so we gave it another try a few months later and we're pleasantly surprised and had a wonderful experience. So we went again last night for a date night and we had a very so-so experience. I asked our waitress a question about which roll was pictured and she said I think this one, but the one she pointed out didn't have any of the ingredients pictured, so I asked her to check. She came back and gave me the name of the correct roll and we continued ordering our sushi but she didn't write anything down, even when we warned her we would be ordering a lot of rolls. She recited our order back to us and we had to correct her twice instead of her just writing it down. As she walked away I said to my husband in frustration, great it doesn't sound like we will get anything we ordered, why wouldn't she just write it down. Apparently she heard me because she promptly turned around and glared at me. So professional. When she brought out our rolls she forgot our ginger and Wasabi, and when I asked for them she made a point of saying, I can remember anything even the largest order but I always forget the Wasabi. I didn't mention that we were missing one of our rolls because it's all you can eat sometimes things don't come out together but after a while went by and it never came I asked her if the roll was still coming. Surprise, surprise, she forgot it. All the other staff we encountered wrote orders down and we're very nice and professional. And the food the last two times was decent, but nothing special. I guess that's to be expected with an all you can eat place, quantity over quality. Moral of the story though is I don't think we will return it's just too hit or miss. read more

We used to come here when the restaraunt was more of a hole in the wall. We're from out of town, and come here every year. This year we came to town and the whole restaraunt has been remodeled it looks great. They also added and Endless lunch to the menu, you can choose from sushi to hibachi appetizers, everything. This place has switched hands throughout the years, but I really like Ginza as it is today. The waiters are always very nice and the food is consistent. The sushi we got was fresh and delicious. I just wish they had better descriptions. We don't know a lot about sushi so we just ordered what the waitress recommended. If you know your sushi they have a lot to pick from. However with so many on the menu you can't have the waitress describe them all. For example it would be great if the menu told me eel sauce is a delicious sweet sauce and not a fishy slimy ground up eel as I imagined. For my main course I got a shrimp Thai dish. I've had a lot of Pad Thai in my life and this was complete garbage. No flavor, and I'm pretty sure they used week old noodles. I never throw out Pad Thai ever! I'm giving 3 stars based solely on my experience. The restaurant was only about a week old when a friend and I went there. It's very beautiful and swanky on the inside. The sushi rolls that we got were pretty good. Service was friendly but not very attentive. Not overpriced. Didn't have a bad experience at all. However, my parents ordered takeout a few weeks ago and they were highly unimpressed and really disappointed. Would've gave this place 2.5 star if I could. First off the positive, service and food was pretty speedy, the decor and restaurant was clean and had a great feel when entering the front door, the sushi was rolled nice and tight so rice and sushi didn't fall apart. I order the Alaskan, the yummy yummy and the spicy white fish roll I believe. The spicy mayo tasted pretty good. Also had mackerel and eel sashimi, only complaint was on the sashimi was cut, mackerel was kind of butchered. Now the negatives, we also order tom yum chicken soup without onions and scallions, for 4.95 it wasn't worth it, had no taste to it at all. Tom yum soup should be tangy and have hints of spiciness to it, this has neither. The fried rice that came with the hibachi chicken and steak we ordered was absolutely tasteless. Hibachi sauce they used to cook the hibachi tasted pretty decent, but definitely wasn't memorable. My favorite place in town! This new unique way of eating is the best and Ginza has the best food out of any place like it. We have literally eaten there 3 times in one week! The food had no balance where some dishes were way too salty and some were way too sweet. Service though was good. My father had ordered Goose on the Rocks but when he had received it only half of the glass was filled with ice and drink combined and did not at all taste like Goose, more like Absolut. I had ordered the Chicken Hibachi during lunch and it was way too sweet for my pallet. it was my first time might be last time to try this place, the food here was just fine, price was fair. everything went pretty smooth at the beginning till I went to the restroom. their restroom was all the way in the back along the hall way. before I opened the restroom door. an unpleasant odour almost made me throw up everything i just ate. it wasnt the restroom smell, it smelled like something from the drain, very close to the smell of red tide, but not as bad as red tide. The price of the all you can eat menu is only worth it if your hungry enough, but be careful not to over order, they charge you for whatever you don't eat! As with any Buffett/All u Can Eat places the food quality goes down after time. Went here last night with a party of five and the place was packed. They were short of staff and apparently in the kitchen as well. The hibachi chicken is supposed to have zucchini, onions and mushroom. All u can eat order had onions and two small pcs of zucchini and no mushrooms. The rolls with fish on top had paper thin slices instead of a nice slice of fish. When this place first opened up I loved it so much that I would come here as often as possible. And I think the reason for that was because it was the only place in Sarasota when they had first opened up that was a buffet that was cooked to order Style. But over the past few years coming here I have lost interest in coming to this establishment I have lost interest in coming to this establishment. It's not that they're terrible it's just that only some of the things on the menu or actually really good while so things are just mediocre or just not good at all. For instance the pork fried dumplings are excellent. But the Hibachi on the other hand is terrible. Especially the shrimp. The shrimp is obviously cheap shrimp and nothing at all like shrimp that you would find at an Hibachi Grill. End there is something with the chicken when they make it hibachi style some pieces are very hard and some are soft which makes it unusual. Another thing I noticed today while I was having lunch there was I ordered dr. Pepper. Now when I received the first cup I noticed a very slight film at the top surface of my soda I didn't make a big thing about it because I figured it could be the nozzles might have been just cleaned or something off the soda dispenser. But then I received two more refills and every time she came back with a refill that film would come back thicker and thicker. Sad enough to say this will be the last time I come to this establishment. It's a shame because it had so much potential. The other downside of this place is that they are very expensive. And the food is definitely not worth the price. For dinner they charge over $25 per person and it's clearly not work $25. I wish that Peking Tokyo was still at this location. We would go to Ginza very often and we never had any problem; sushi has been always tasty and the service ok; however today we walked in at 9:45pm (they close at 10:30pm), as soon as we sat down we were told that we had time until 10pm to order because the kitchen would close by then; and so we did, they were 4 of us for "All You Can Eat"; few minutes later they brought only the rolls my kids had ordered and right after we received the check, we were still waiting for the rest of order; by 10:15pm we realized that all waiters are standing looking and pointing at us, then a waitress (not the one that had helped initially) approached our table asking if we needed a to go box; when we told them we were still waiting for the rest of our order, she said kitchen is closed and so she was right; they had giving us the check without assuring that we got what we ordered, rushing us to get out; honestly we were disappointed; finally and after complaining our check was reduced to half price, they blamed each other, and we left, luckily the kids had eaten something but my husband and I didn't, and at 10:30pm there's nothing open so you can imagine we didn't have dinner because their mistake, they so rushed to get out of the restaurant and they messed up. You lost these customers, we won't be going back to Ginza! read more

This used to be my favorite place. I loved ginza we went all the time. Last time I was there owner was rude. Tempura shrimp was cold and sashimi was warm. Flies were by the back servers area. The wrong kind of beef came out it was tough and rubbery laced with fat. The quality is way down. Even the server said she hears alot of people complain.
