Very tasty. Shaggy Dog and Volcano rolls plus a large bowl of ramen. Fast friendly service. Not very crowded. Good happy hour prices.

My favorite sushi place in the area. I stop here for lunch regularly. David is my favorite sushi chef and a friendly owner.

The ambiance was super cool. Fairly clean and tidy. The service was friendly, pretty casual paced. There is a sign that says they're short staffed but with only three tables it was pretty slow. ALL of my food came out at once. I just couldn't get into it. Everything was bland and flavorless. Didn't eat my salad. I just kept eating the ramen hoping it would improve. May return and try something else. Meal was $33.78 plus tip.

I am so happy I was able to try this little gem before leaving the Cypress area!!! Everything from the warm greetings to the cute decor made the ambiance great. My husband and I took advantage of the HH menu (3-630 pm Mon- Sat??). I really enjoyed the Hot girl roll, the crazy tuna roll (fav roll), calamari, edamame, house salads, and a variety of sushi pieces. My absolute fav was the WHITE TUNA!!!!! It melted in my mouth so we ordered like 5 pieces hahaha. All of this food came out to be $67. Not bad at all! I hope to be able to visit this place again!!! The food and service were amazing!

Best sushi in the area. I only wish is that they were open 7 days a week! Food is fresh and beautifully presented.

Food is great! Price is great! David is the greatest sushi chef in Cypress. Can't give this place a high enough recommendation!

Fried pork dumpling and trio sushi dinner (tuna, salmon, yellow tail and spicy tuna roll) served with salad and soup

Ordered sushi from Gina Japanese last night. Called for take out and dinner was ready in about 15 minutes. Employees and guests are required to wear masks and they are not serving customers at their sushi bar. There are a couple of seats outside, which would be nice with a byob bottle of saki when the temperatures in Houston start to cool off. Dinner was packed beautifully and was delicious. I ordered the Trio Sushi Dinner. Three pieces of tuna, salmon and yellowtail sushi and a spicy tuna roll served with miso soup and salad with ginger dressing. And I ordered the Gyoza, pan fried pork dumplings. My husband and I shared the take out and found it was more than enough for the two of us. Next time I want to try the house special rolls.

Visit was November 16, 2020 for dinner. They offer dine in and there's parking available but no full bar but you can bring your own bottle and they provide cups/glasses. The sushi is of average quality and reasonable priced. The staff does provide good effort to have a good dining experience. Due to COVID-19 everything is limited but that's obviously not their fault.

    Don't you feel special?

Tasted fresh, plenty of condiments and the right amount of sauce. Comes with avocado, cucumber, seaweed, lettuce. I think for price point its quite good. Presentation was great but that bowl was way too stuffed. Difficult to even attempt to mix so pick your poison I suppose. Would have liked a bigger bowl / taller bowl so I could mix it honestly 72 hour beef spicy miso ramen - 48 hour pork bone worth with miso, beef chashu , bamboo, sweet corn, green onion, kikurage, and a soft boiled egg - I was impressed! I'm quite harsh on ramen especially after visiting most of the ramen shops here in Houston. I found this dish to be quite different which is a great compliment! Most ramen places source pretty much the same broth packets and all honestly mix in with each other in my opinion. This was uniquely more different and I enjoyed it! Plenty of flavor, great serving amount, I tried the non spicy (had the spice on side) and tried my friend's spicy (spice mixed in with broth in it's entirety) and can say the spicy one was great. Would recommend this dish! Overall I was pleasantly happy with this place and would go again!

I proceeded to enjoy a very strong whiskey flight (which means a lot coming from me), a seaweed salad that was a bit too crunchy or stiff, ikrua don, crab croquette and some admittedly super sticky, gummy, shrimp dumplings...like would not separate from the steamer paper sticky. While the offerings were not my cup of tea, the place is beautifully decorated and seems to fill up around dinner service so it may be worth the stop if you're in the area. Everyone was very nice and I always appreciate a spot offering jellyfish, takowasa, and takoyaki in Cypress. Next time I'll try the ramen, and hopefully report back with a new perspective, fingers crossed.
