Visited back in March while on a visit to the area. After a 45 minute wait for the stuffed pizza it came out with a hair on it. I was excited considering I haven't eaten giordanos in years and was really looking forward to it. The staff offered to replace it however we had a 4 hour road trip ahead of us and could not wait another 45 minutes for a pizza. I was very disappointed. We usually go to Flippers pizza down the road. We thought we would try Giordanos since some neighbors recommended the place. Disappointed isn't strong enough of a word. I had a thin crust pepperoni/banana pepper pizza. The crust was not hand tossed. It was a frozen premade crust that tested like the cardboard of the box. The sauce had no flavor at all. After a couple small pieces I tossed the $24 pizza out. Digiornos would have been better. My wife had a small deep dish pizza that also had a cardboard and wasn't close to being a Chicago style pizza. Total crap for $16. Little Caesars and Pizza Hut are a better value. There are plenty of pizza places on 192, keep driving to one of those instead. read more

Called for a delivery to my resort, they asked for room number which I provided. Next thing I know its 20 minutes past the ETA I was provided. I call them back and spoke with another worker to find out it was set for pickup. Yet they had down the correct address and room number on the order. Was told a 15 minute ETA for delivery, no apology for the inconvenience. Right now its 30 minutes from when I called, no pizza AND they are now closed so no one is there when I tried calling a third time. Horrible service and will be letting the resort manager know about this since they recommended them in the first place. read more

I've never had an issue here with the pizza. It's always been the staff. Either they screw up your order, they keep you on hold for literally 10 minutes, or they forget to add utensils perhaps red pepper flakes whatever the case may be it seems like it's always an issue. read more

She also established expectations on wait times which was helpful. The salads are large. Salads could easily be an entree or shared with 2-3 people. As a Chicago native, I've indulged in hundreds of Giordano's pizzas, averaging at least one per week. I've ordered two pizzas from this location; the first was a hit-- not as good as Chicago's, but good enough to enter my weekly rotation. However, the second one was an absolute dud! The pizza wasn't fresh and seemed to have been sitting around. When I addressed this with the staff, a guy named John (how original) insinuated that it was my fault, suggesting I might have picked it up late. This was wrong on so many levels. First, the order was placed online, and my wife, who was only five minutes away, waited outside until the earliest mentioned pickup time before attempting to retrieve the pizza. Upon receiving it, the box didn't feel hot, and the pizza looked dried out--so much so that when pulled apart, there were no cheese strings. In short, John was rude and did not attempt to offer a means of rectification. He became defensive, saying he wouldn't talk to me anymore and would let his GM 'handle me'. We went to this establishment last week while we were on vacation. When we called in our order, the lady on the phone (Beatriz) said our order would be ready in 20 minutes. We called back soon after to make sure she knew we ordered deep dish and not thin crust because deep dish pizzas normally take longer to make (we are from Chicago, so we know). She responded in a very condescending way, and claimed she said 40 minutes when she clearly said 20. Whatever, no big deal. When my husband and I went to pick up our pizzas, he went into the restaurant while I waited in the car. When he asked for paper plates, condiments and cutlery, she only wanted to give one packet of plates, cutlery, condiments, etc. despite us ordering two pizzas. Beatriz asked my husband to write a review in exchange for 10% off our purchase. When he declined (my husband is not tech-saavy), she was hostile. We were driving back to our resort when we realized she hadn't provided the free cheesy garlic bread we had a coupon for, so we had to turn around and go back. She grunted and handed it to him when he returned. I am not sure what kind of feedback she was expecting to get after all of these encounters that left much to be desired. I've had deep dish in Chicago. It was amazing. Having it outside the Windy City is a chance one takes, but when it is a franchise of a Chi Town favorite then it's a safe bet. Giordano's is heaven for deep dish. Yes, it takes about 45 minutes to make this monstrous pie, but believe me it is worth the wait. When the waiter brought out the pie our whole table sat silently until it was placed on the rail. When the first piece was picked up, watching the gooey goodness stretch as the piece moved up had our table salivating like Pavlov's dogs! I'm one to pick up the piece and eat it, so using a fork and knife - as suggested - seemed foreign to me. I tried it, and was sold on it. It makes the taste of the dough, sauce, meats and cheese easier to handle since it is a thick pie. We have Gino's East in ATX so not sure where else Giordano's is located outside of Chicago. If there is one near you or to where you travel, make the stop and enjoy a slice of heaven. read more

Probably the best pizza I've ever had. Seriously. We had the Chicago Deep Dish pizza with pepperoni. I've never had it deep dish before so I really wanted to try it. I called the order in and was told the wait time was 45 minutes. Wow. It was fine because we were waiting for our husbands orders from another restaurant. We arrived and the pizza was ready and waiting for us. In and out in a few minutes. The restaurant itself had quite a few diners, even around 10:30pm. My husband remarked that the food he observed looked good. In the car, the pizza smelled amazing. When we got back to our resort, my daughter and I each had a piece. It was delicious. The sauce was great, lots of cheese and pepperoni and it was well done as we requested. We finished it for dinner last night. My husband had a bite and he said we should have gotten another one for last nights dinner (we all had leftovers of some kind). We got a big order for delivery tonight and everything was fabulous.We got 2 Italian beef sandwiches and the Game Day Deal with the medium stuffed pizza, double wings and cookies. The pizza was excellent as usual and the wings were well prepared. We got BBQ and buffalo. Of the 2 beef sandwiches One was perfect but the other had a problem. I ordered extra beef jus and giardiniera on it. The jus is put in little plastic containers and put in the box with the sandwich and fries. One of them came open and spilled all over the box so it was a bit drier than I prefer. The other thing is that I am used to getting a better helping of the peppers. Most places are much more generous and when I dine in I can always get more. Luckily for me I keep a very large jar handy and was able to put more on. Needless to say the sandwich was very tasty. I do look forward to being more comfortable dining in once again. Still one of the few places in Florida I can get quality Chicago style food so I will be here often. read more
