I hadn't been to this Giordano's in many years and now I know why! We were there for dinner on a Friday night, fairly good crowd and they handled that okay, could have been a little quicker but it was bearable. We didn't opt for the pizza; but ordered sandwiches, salads and apps. The dressing comes in one of those little bags you tear open - seriously; you can't do better than putting a bag if dressing on your salad?? The Italian Beef sandwich was horrible! I had forgot Giordano's uses nutmeg as a seasoning on everything which gives it a horrible taste that stays with me for two days. I just don't get using that spice on Italian food, just doesn't go. Walked in at 6pm on a Friday. There was a sign that said "Wait to be seated". We waited a few minutes and several employees walked by us without greeting us. Finally we heard a Hello from across the room. We ended up waiting a few more minutes with employees walking past us several more times. This was our first time at this location. My hubby and I were out around 8 on a Friday night and stopped in to just share a snack. We know this is a good Pizza place but my husband being in the business for several years makes better at home. We shared the Italian beef and a order of the garlic and Parma cheese fries. It was really good for a pizza place, and better than a lot of the beef joints we've been to together. The fries were Excellent and the beef was VERY good. The service was poor. Lunky teenage boy for a server, took out order, came back with it, never check on us, had to go to counter to get catsup. Why have the convience of having an online app if the store is not set up for it? At least that is what we were told when we ordered online the other day. Order was sent to a store in downtown Chicago, card was charged and told sorry. Still waiting on the refund. Not the worst thing in the world, but be a little nicer to your customers. Making them feel like they did something wrong is not good customer service. Don't offer online ordering when a store is not set up for it. Don't treat people rudly. read more

Sub-par service. Came during lunch and there were 3 tables in the whole place, so no excuse for it. Had to flag someone down for a refill after more than 10 minutes. Minestrone soup was good but lukewarm....garlic parmesan fries were cold.... we were rarely checked on. No dessert offered, just check dropped off without asking if we were finished (yikes). If you're in the mood for Chicago style pan pizza, this is a good place to go. Lots of gooey cheese, sausage that covers the entire top of the pizza and a cornmeal dusted crust. Sounds pretty darn good doesn't it? And I don't know what they do to their salads but I love to get salad here. It's always extra fresh and dressings are so tasty. But for as good as the pan pizza is, the thin crust is just so-so. read more

My best friend Beverly, her husband, and I agreed on obtaining the stuffed deep dish large Chicago Classic pizza from Giordano's (which comes with pepperoni, mushrooms, green peppers, and onions). We also agreed on choosing the pickup option and ate the pizza together back at the house that they (my best friend and her husband) reside in. The pros; the pizza came out delicious and a person can get easily stuffed on two slices due to the fact that their large pizza can truly feed at least four people (as on one of the menus that my best friend had). The caveat; There was a specific request for the pizza to be cut and the receipt even showed pie cut yet the pizza was not cut as requested (fortunately, there was a utensil that was in their house to cut the pizza yet it still would have been nice if the pizza would have been cut as requested). read more

The pizza was perfectly serviceable, the peppers were delicious, the service was only alright. One of our party had a dairy allergy and the server was happy to accommodate that, but when the food arrived their food was full of cheese. It took quite a while to get the servers attention so we could get the issue corrected. We eventually did and the food was all enjoyable, but I was disappointed in the amount of effort it took to handle the issue. read more

Our experience was awesome the food was great and the waitress that we had was friendly and polite her name was Natalie.She made sure that we got settled with the pizza and she didn't just walk off right after she gave us our pizza and garlic bread. We got our garlic bread right away also the pizza came 10 minutes after. It was just out of the oven and it wasn't cold or burnt. I would recommend this restaurant for fast service and good food. The atmosphere is family-friendly and when you walk in you feel welcome. Overall this place has great atmosphere and the food tastes amazing and I would recommend this place to anyone that likes pizza we love this place it's our go to now. It's a great place to go for Friday night dinner. Another great thing about this place is that the prices are reasonable for a pizza place especially when you think about it. The deep dish pizza is delicious and certified to be Chicago's top pizza. If this isn't convincing enough, this pizza was the top choice compared to other Chicago pizza's restaurant. And, I personally love them since I was 7 years old, 29 years old now and re-visit the pizza restaurant. The sauce is unique, and my roommate says that they might contains kalamata olive in the sauce receipe. So, I say that the sauce is a hybrid between greek and italian. I have to say I'm very disappointed in the delivery service we received from here last night. We pre-ordered a pizza 2 DAYS prior to the date we wanted our pizza to be delivered and chose 7 pm for our delivery time. I had to call at 7:20 pm because our pizza was still not at our house. The young man on the phone told me they were backed up, however the delivery man just left and it'd be another 20 minutes. If I hadn't pre-ordered my pizza 2 days in advance I would understand. However, they had the order for (again) 2 days. This just seems like poor planning of when to make and deliver this pizza order. Our pizza showed up at 7:40 pm and looked as if it'd been in a car or sitting at the restaurant for quite some time. I would not recommend having food delivered from this location. read more

Walk in to pick up my pizza, a kind girl lets me know it will be out in just a moment. Not 1 minute later, someone else walks out and says they have bad news. Bad news you say? At a pizza place? Impossible! Well apparently the impossible is quite possible. The gentleman told me they lost my pizza. And continues to say it isn't here. Maybe one of the other kids took it, I don't really know what happens. I asked for my money back after being offered to wait yet another 35 minutes for my pizza, and says you have to understand, "Things happen". Great place to eat. Pizza was excellent. Always had drinks. Never had a moment where we needed something urgently and couldn't get it. Staff always smiling. Even were given free paper plates. I was skeptical of the "yelp loves us" sign out front but after eating here I realized why it was so loved. 5/5 would eat here again. read more

The service here is HORRIBLE. We order delivery almost every weekend, and it is almost always wrong. Over just the past month alone we've ordered a salad w extra blue cheese on the side that was delivered w no blue cheese at all, a half cheese/half sausage that was delivered all sausage and tonight I made note that our order is almost always incorrect and asked that they please double check...but low and behold our extra blue cheese on the side was delivered as extra green onions. They just can't get it right. If you want to eat what you've paid for don't order from here. I'd give it zero stars if I could. Finding a new spot. read more

The Chicagostyle spinach pizza is the best pizza I have had and I have had way too much pizza at way too many places. I disagree with those that say malnatis is better than Giordanos. To me malnatis tasted like frozen pizza heated up as though malnatis bought their own pizza at mejers and heated it up. read more

Absolutely amazing!! I had the deep dish "special style". The crust is amazing like a flaky croissant! The cheese is gooey, creamy heaven! The sauce is just about right I would prefer just a tad sweeter but it is excellent. Best deep dish pizza I ever had. My sister got her half with spinach , mushroom, artichokes and garlic and it was awesome also. The garlic is awesome, wish I got it on my half. I had Lou malnatis in October for the first time. This is hands down better pizza. Lou's sauce tastes like canned tomatoes and hard string cheese. Giordanos is MUCH better. I will definitely be back. I can wait until Giordanos open in Indianapolis! read more
