Really good food with fresh ingredients! I recommend ordering beforehand, at least 10 minutes prior. It gets kinda busy during lunch time, but I don't think I waited more than 10-15 min total (to order, cook food, etc). They also don't allow more than one customer inside at a time because of the pandemic. I don't know if they typically have outdoor seating since I came on a rainy day, but that would be amazing! I got the hot pastrami sandwich on the smallest sub. It was a perfect amount that satisfied my hunger but didn't leave me in a food coma. My boyfriend got the meatball sub (on the same size). He thought it was perfect because of the tender meat balls, tasty sauce, and toasted fresh bread. We only got 2 sandwiches and it costed us about $16 total. If you're in the area definitely try them out and just pick one of your usual favorites to start off with! read more

Couldn't come to secacus without stopping here. Ratings are through the roof and I can see why. The bread here is really good. It is fresh and I like that it is on the softer side rather than hard. Sometimes bread at deli has such a hard crust on the outside you lose a tooth biting into it. Not here. The fried eggplant sandwich with mozzarella was good. The eggplant looked egg battered which I like but I prefer them cut thinner fried with bread crumbs. The service here is great and they will get you in and out fast. An incredible meatball parm, tasty meatballs, bread was delicious. My wife had chicken parm in vodka sauce in a Tupperware. I LOVE this place!!!! I was fortunate enough to live a few blocks away for a little over 3 years and would stop in every chance I get. I have to say, this is going to be one of the harder goodbyes I'll have to make when we move; nothing compares! Their grilled chicken salads are DELICIOUS and the chicken cutlet sandwiches are even better (I'd always steal a few bites away from my husband.). Came here after seeing the good reviews. The place is in a neighborhood and there is street parking. We were greeted when walking inside. Digital menus on 2 TVs in front of you. We got 3 subs and we're all pretty pleased with what we got. So my reason for 3 stars. I got a soda and when I go home I saw the date on it has expired. Also, there were so many flies inside flying around. Like everywhere you looked. Hopefully that gets taken care of soon because we would probably come back. read more

Italian deli that's been a Secaucus staple since beginning of time? Hahaha no but seriously it's amazing fresh mozzarella sandwiches!! It doesn't matter what you order seriously it will be amazing! My typical order would be prosciutto with mozzarella, balsamic with lettuce and sometimes I'll add roasted red peppers (sometimes). Another classic is of course the Italian sandwich with mozzarella and balsamic and lettuce. My friend loves the roast beef with mozzarella. Literally you can't pick a bad combination! It's good with everything!! Perfect sandwich to cure hangovers or even to just have an amazing day! Service is fast, friendly and fantastic! If you are lucky you will be able to see them making the mozzarella fresh!! I just had the greatest sandwich ever. Hands down the classic Italian sub with Fresh Mozz deserves 5 stars. I am not from Secaucus but as soon as you walk into this Deli everyone greets you with a smile. If you're ever in the Secaucus area you have to stop by Giovanni's Deli. The place is relatively small but there's decent amount of seating. From what I know, most people just pick up and go. We got a prosciutto, mozz and roasted red pepper with balsamic to go, a ball of fresh mozz and a quart of stuffed peppers. Where do I start? The sandwich was DIVINE! The fresh mozz still warm and the Italian bread was so soft. The prosciutto itself was so thinly sliced it kept getting stuck between my teeth (maybe tmi, but so you can understand and appreciate what kind of sandwich this was). The ball of mozz...again, still warm (half of it ists already gone because i simply can't stop eating it) and the peppers were very very good! Absolutely positively love this place! When we first moved here we had seen this place on yelp a couple of times but didn't really know what to expect. Finally, my fiance found it while taking his clothes to the local dry cleaner, and the rest is history. We have been here multiple times since then and have even brought family here while they visited from out of state. I think it is safe to say this is the best local sandwich shop in town. The people behind the counter work so efficiently and get your order right every time. I would be lying if I said I didn't love watching them put together my sandwich lol. My regular is a the prosciutto, mozzarella, pepper and balsamic sandwich and I highly recommend you try it. This is the first place I ever tried prosciutto and its amazing. The mozzarella is out of this world and the best I have ever tasted. My fiance tried their chicken cutlet sandwich (with mozzarella, pepper and balsamic) and was in love. Now we order one of each and split them because we just can't decide. The price is very reasonable for the amount of food you are getting. I pull up to the place and it's this small deli in between houses. Double checked my GPS to make sure I was at the right spot. I walk in and there are no menus. I almost panic but I did my yelp hw and everyone was raving about the mutz. By far one of the best Italian delis I have ever gone too. Besides the fact that the staff here makes me feel like a big boss in the movie "The Godfather." I come out talking Italian with a mob type accent every time. They kill it in all the food they have their. Their "mutz" tho!!!! Their mozzarella is so fresh and good!!!
