I used to go here all the time as a kid but since they've expanded I don't really feel they're as good. They've expanded twice now and I much preferred the cozy seating before , even though it could get crowded . The new layout definitely feels more impersonal. The parking is also terrible here, just entering the building from the road is terrible in general if there is any kind of traffic- good luck getting in. I'm not impressed by the pizza, it's just average. I haven't sat down and dined in, in serval years but I don't know if I'm really enticed to so I can't speak for any of their entrees anymore. Went here the other night while in town visiting family after not eating here in years. The food was still just as good and it is BYOB, so each one of us could bring our own wine, beer, etc. As mentioned by others, the portions are big and very good (I got the chicken parm over penne in pink sauce). I ate about half and took the rest home for my family to eat the next day (we were flying out early). We got an order of wings for the table as well as soup, salad, mozzarella sticks, and breadsticks. All in all, we all left stuffed and happy! We have been going here for years and will keep going back to dine in and take out. Just know there is limited parking out front, but there is a secondary lot that can be used. read more

First off, I love this restaurant. I went there for take out, and to dine in and it's delicious. Every time I get the same exact thing: A chicken parm with pasta and chicken noodle soup. It is the best chicken parm you will ever have, ever. The pasta is delicious as well and the cheese is amazing. It melts in your mouth and is just perfect. The chicken noodle soup is also really well. I also like the bread that comes along with it and they give you so much. I would come here every day if I could but I don't have to.The meal sometimes lasts me 3 days and I get so excited each night. The only negative thing would be that it takes a while to pick up your food. They say it will be 40 minutes but it ends up being 60+ minutes. Still at the end, it is so worth it. The food is good but the wait times and rude costumers are not worth the hassle. There are so many pizza joints in the area who can provide the same type and quality of food. Take for instance, the last 2 times I have gone in for pickup, people walked in front of the line and started talking to the checkout people. They watched it happen but since these people were "regulars" i guess it didn't matter. It's great, help the regulars and lose the other 4 families waiting in line. They also messed up my order by putting breaded chicken on a grilled chicken salad. I won't be back. read more

Ordered take out at 1:08 pm on a Tuesday afternoon it's now 1:48 still not here. I call and they say the are just wrapping it up now. I come here all the time with my family. The food is great and a reasonable price for the gigantic portions that they give you. I usually get wings and a pizza or the chicken parmigiana. The service can be a bit slow when they're busy (which it usually is), but that is to be expected and the servers try their best to be attentive as they can. read more

We've been customers at Giovanni's for YEARS, and their food is top-notch! We've had a graduation lunch on-premise, and we've served trays of their delicious food at countless family events at our home. We also order a couple pizzas & steak sandwiches for dinner regularly. We've taken entrees to friends when they've had a new baby, or are having a tough time keeping up with meal-prep for some other reason. Everyone RAVES about their food! Our favorites are the cheesesteak pizza, Sicilian pie, chicken parm, and their cheesesteaks are amazing, too! Even when I ask for the unusual combo of "pizza steak with pepperoni & mayo", they nail the order EVERY time! This is not your average pizza/sandwich place. They have entrees and they are so, so good. I recently ordered the veal with homemade pasta in a sherry cream sauce with crab. Delicious! Dominique is also the best server! Would definitely recommend this place if you want pizza/salad/sandwiches/Italian entrees. Also they can accommodate large parties. Very nice staff whenever I call to request a delivery. Everyone that's come here to deliver has also been very friendly which is sadly not a usual occurrence nowadays with other businesses. Their prices are standard but SLIGHTLY less than other competitors I've seen. Their pizza is pretty good but I've heard their pasta dishes are the best. I always get my food quickly and very hot with great service so I can't complain! I'm always going to get my food delivered from this place as long as we're staying in PA. read more

Giovanni's Pizza is a Italian shop on York Road in Jamison, Pa. They do a big pizza business as suggested by the wall of pizza boxes awaiting use in the entrance hall. When I asked one of the guys behind the counter how many pies they do a day, I was told anywhere from 50 to 300! Quite a range, but they were getting ready for the high end when we were there by cutting up the dough and placing them in small aluminum canisters. The house itself has two dining rooms and can accommodate quite a crowd. It is clean, and service is prompt and friendly. We ordered a single plain slice to see how they do with their most basic commodity, an eggplant parmesan sandwich and a burger with onions and mushrooms. Nothing stood out as exceptional, and some things need work. The plain pizza is average in size and taste. Mine was a reheat job, well done. They got that right, and the crust was nice and firm with a mild scorch on the undercarriage. There was too much cheese for me, and not enough sauce. Really could not get the flavor of the tomatoes due to cheesy dominance. Pizza requires the right balance on top to make it stand out. This did not do it. The eggplant parm sandwich was in a large torpedo roll, again covered in copious melted mozzarella. The nightshade itself had a heavy breading that absorbed a lot of oil in the frying. Would have been better if just sautéed in olive oil without the extra breading, but was still okay. The burger was disappointing. A frozen puck, cooked to well done when medium was requested. Dry and tasteless, despite the additional sautéed onions and mushrooms. Even the ketchup couldn't save it. This was a late lunch, and we didn't explore the dinner and pasta options, which may be as good as the other reviewers report. Still, I can only write about my experience, which was not quite middle of the road. 2.5 Stars. read more

We have enjoyed Goivanni's food for years and was our go to place. However, we had dinner yesterday, Sunday, July 9, 2023, and were very disappointed. I ate here for the first time on a Friday evening. My friends said to get there early because they are always packed. We arrived at 4:45pm. The place was pretty empty. By 5:15pm the place was packed with a line forming. I ordered the Meat Lovers...full of chicken and Italian sausage....and cheese! Yum! It was so delicious and the portion size was HUGE! The sauce is a pink sauce, BTW, is not my favorite types of sauce. However, their pink sauce is very delicious. One friend ordered the Chicken Margarita without shrimp and extra chicken...it looked delicious and equally huge. My other friend had the Ravioli. This place is a must for Italian cuisine. read more

Had lunch with friends and the food was pretty good.  I wouldn't call it over-the-top great, but nonetheless was still very good and extremely reasonable prices.  What blew me away with this place was the service experience.  We get there after 1pm (you'd figure lunch rush was over with), and there was a packed house and ONE individual, Heather, serving the entire front of the house.  She politely told us it would take just a few minutes to get a table ready, that "I am the only one here" - but she said it with a smile and wasn't complaining (as so many other places tend to do).  We were seated in about 5 minutes and had a lovely lunch.  While enjoying our lunch, we watched Heather interact with about 8-10 tables (including ours), taking orders, delivering plates, dropping off then processing the check, BUSSING the table after the party leaves, gets it ready for the next party, etc., and all the while she had a smile on her face and was extremely friendly with everyone, including us.  When her relief came in and she had to leave for a doctor's appointment, she went to each table to tell us goodbye and to have a great day.  OK, maybe the food wasn't over-the-top, but Heather certainly was, and she just made a LOYAL customer out of us.  We just moved here from California and need a local Italian place with great pizza - we have found it - and Heather makes it all that much better. read more

I am rating this fine place as FIVE stars, considering the taste, quality and value. I do not dare to compare it to a $100 pp steak house, but in its league, it is five stars. I just returned from a dinner, with eight guests at our table, and it was $35 a couple, including tip, for a huge plate of eggplant parm, with penne pasta, baked with mozzarella cheese, a huge bowl of pastafagiola soup/tossed salad,, homemade bread with butter or oil/garlic, and a large iced tea. Everything was delicious and the portions were huge. Price was very fair. Service was top notch and organized. It doesn't get much better than this. read more

The first time we came to Giovanni's was for a friend's graduation party. It was amazing. There were several waiting staff, but Andy went out of his way to make sure every one in our area was taken care of. We have come back several times and was hoping to get Andy as our server but today was our lucky day. He is very conscientious and courteous. He makes you feel very comfortable and as if you are family. We had a wonderful experience... The food as always was amazing. Best Chicken parmigiana we have had any place in the area. Great local eatery with huge menu and great specials. Ownership greets you when you walk in the door, they stop at your table to chat and make sure everything is to your liking and staff is very attentive. Great place- we go often. To the person who wrote a dissertation on why this establishment shouldn't have a tip jar- get over yourself. You have too much time on your hands if you have that much time to speak negatively about staff trying to scrape some extra money together to get by during this really difficult time. If you don't want to leave a tip that's fine but the abusive commentary is offensive as a regular patron of this resteraunt who has a ton of respect for the ownership and staff trying to manage successfully when their business has dropped so dramatically. read more
