It was hard to narrow down my shopping since I had to be mindful that I had a carry on and personal item to travel back home. I couldn't resist and decided to purchase items and just ship them to myself back home. I bought a shawl/jacket in the most wonderful Olive Green color that is perfect for walking and driving in. I also got the softest scarf. Customer service was top notch. I saw this scarf on display on a mannequin and I asked if it came in different colors and they went to go look since I am not a big fan of the browns in my attire choices. I got a gray/black combo scarf. Since we had cooled down significantly as we were shopping, we got hungry and asked if we could place the items on hold since we didn't want to carry our purchases until the end of our exploration and headed back to the car. I gave them my name, they placed the items on hold and we went to eat. When we came back, the store associate remembered my name and that our items were on hold. She also told me that they have a website with many items for sale from their actual sales floor that could be shipped and proceeded to tell me how the store got started. She wrapped the items with care and off we were. Prices are completely reasonable for a store of this caliber. This store could easily fit into the vibe of Stanford Shopping Center, Santana Row, downtown Carmel, etc.....but I KNOW that this place will blow any rivals strictly due to their fair pricing, storefront size and their unique items. Consignor Beware…read more While Sass Resale is a nicely appointed store with some very nice items, my experience there was an unusual one which I thought I should share with others. I took some clothing into the shop and after an extremely intense evaluation of my items which were clean and in excellent shape, some where rejected and some were accepted which is how it goes with consignment stores. Fair enough. However, three days later, I received an email to come and get my items even after I was told by management that I have very nice taste in clothing! Here they were just accepted and then I am asked to come back and pick them up! Living in Pikesville that would require a trip back to Timonium which I didn't appreciate. In the interim, one of my items was sold and I had about $9.00 that was supposed to come back to me and I was told that their check service would send me the money. After several weeks I called to inform them that I had received nothing and I was informed that because the amount owed was less than $25.00, they couldn't send a check. The $9.00 could only be used as a credit. Well, quite frankly when I was asked to take back my items after three days, I decided that the mercurial way in which I was treated made me sure that I personally didn't want to do business with this shop anymore. When I communicated that I didn't have a chance to accrue $25.00, I had their contract thrown at me. However, there was nothing in that contract that said that if you were deprived of the opportunity to sell your items that whatever was owed to you below $25.00 could not be reimbursed to you in cash. I am writing this review simply to share my experience with others even though I have been threatened with legal action if I put this out there (and I have the text to prove it.) Who goes to war over nine dollars.....Sass can keep my money and consider it a contribution. As I said, it's a very mercurial operation. Oh and by the way, most of my items sold within a couple of weeks at other consignment stores.
