Service was not good. waitress chatted with people at bar for five minutes and ignored us after that as well and trying to order our entrée bought a $50 bottle of wine and as always expect the person to keep my glass filled I got the first glass and then let my Glass sit there empty for five minutes. She finally came up and filled it again, and that was the last time, I poured my and tipped her. gave her a 20% tip for everything but I think it's time to stop tipping on wine if they don't participate in the delivery to your glass, I will say the fried oysters were delicious and the meal itself was very good and reasonably priced it's just service is such a big component of having a great meal. We simply didn't get adequate service. I might add their bread was either stale or just cheap quality and they gave you paper towels for your napkins. Vacationing in Williamsburg and finished our day trip to Jamestown Settlement we decided on Italian and found this place. House salad was mixed greens with small tomatoes, dressing we picked was a balsamic vinaigrette - very good dressing. Dinner rolls were standard rolls, nothing special but still delicious. VealParmesan was good not incredible according to my husband who is in search of the best Veal Parmesan. Shrimp Scampi was alright also but could've had a bit more flavor. The Tiramisu was the highlight and the best! Thanks to our excellent waitress Susan for steering us to the yummy dessert. Started with $10 oyster appetizer which had 10 nice size delicious oysters. Very well prepared. Wife had lentil soup with andouille sausage. It was a little spicy and very good. Would recommend both. For entree wife had eggplant parmigiana which was very good. I had pork marsala(never had this before) and i would highly recommend it. Dessert was chocolate decadent cake and NY style cheesecake with raspberries. Also a good choice as both were good. To start off, atmosphere was great, very cozy, not very loud and great lighting. Service was decent, very standard, although did say what's up which is nice. BUT the FOOD on the other hand. Not it. Wife pasta had at least 10 bits of shells mixed in with the food, and constantly stabbing her gums. Flavor, meh, for price and ambiance we were expecting much better. As for me, (partly my fault) I ordered the josephine. a single chicken for 22 dollars. Granted, it did not say it came with a pasta, but i definitely expected it for the price. Like several other disappointed yelpers we ate at this place based on the reviews & rating. This place is small & if you decide to eat here call ahead and make a reservation. I will start with the good.....the service was amazing and our waitress did a great job. The food was a high quality and cooked perfect; however, there was no flavor. Which was so disappointing because it looked delicious and the place smelled so good. Now for the bad. We arrived about 745pm on a Saturday without a reservation. The hostess told us it would be about a 30 minute wait, although there were two empty tables and no one else waiting. We decided to wait due to the reviews and how good the restaurant smelled. Several couples and groups came in after us and were seated almost right away most of them without a reservation. When my husband approached the owner & hostess to inquire why we were being passed over. The owner apologized and was unaware of the situation and sat us right away (at a table in the bar) the hostess never said anything, very disappointed in her behavior and attitude. The owner did check on us several times and we received our food lightning fast. Hopefully the food will taste as good as it looks if you decide to go here, but we will not return. read more

We rarely eat out but since we are on vacation we splurged and went here after reading so many good reviews. Unfortunately we were not impressed at all. Pros: The table bread was amazing and as was the side salads that came with our meals. I also ordered a side of Alfredo which was really tasty! We were seated quickly even with our family of 6 and our food took about 15 min to come out after we ordered. Our younger daughter had the Salmon special and she really liked it and said it was cooked perfectly. Our two younger kids got pasta and it was an ok amount but it would have been nice if they offered an additional side item like a fruit or veggie. A small bowl of pasta with butter or Alfredo doesn't really constitute the $11 price tag. Cons: I had the eggplant parmigiana $19 and it was so overly breaded and over cooked I could barely taste any eggplant let alone find it. I would have asked for a different meal or refund but our waitress never came back to check on us until everyone else was nearly done. I barely ate any of it. Our teen daughter had the Carbonara and she said it lacked flavor and she would have liked to salt it but there was none on the table and she never had an opportunity to ask. She said it was just really plain. The side of Alfredo I ordered added $2 to our bill though we were not told that when we ordered it. Thankful it was delicious! Our waitress was so attentive to the fact that we had a toddler - offered to bring his meal out early and everything. The food was so good as well. We had the scorers appetizer and the special appetizer which was a thinly sliced tuna. I had the salmon with risotto which was so flavorful and the salmon was cooked perfectly - my wife had the meatballs which were tender and moist. The staff was very kind and helpful and the food was some of the best Italian food I've had. They had generously spaced outdoor seating, one-time use menus. We live in Pennsylvania. If we lived near this restaurant we would definitely be weekly customers. It is so popular you need to make reservations. They open at 5:00 p.m. We called at 4:00 p.m. on a Friday and were able to get reservations for 5:00. Within 45 minutes after we arrived every table was taken . Do not miss this place.
