On our visit to Skagway, we wondered why there was a huge line out the door to this place. A place serving frybread? We're in! They crank out the frybread so swiftly that even with a line out the door, everything moves quickly and we were in and out within ten minutes. Doughboy ($8) - This is a huge piece of fried dough, easily larger than my face. It's an interesting decision to have a thicker diameter, probably 3/4 inch thick, and a much thinner interior. It's almost like pizza in construction. This makes it so that the crustier portions are soft and chewy while the inner area is crisped up to perfection. An uneven fry is expected, but I feel as a whole, the frybread might be a bit underfried. The crust area, in particular, is soft and chewy without any crispness and has an almost raw flour-like taste to it. At least the entire thing is dusted with cinnamon and sugar to make it a sweet treat! (4/5) This frybread has some weaknesses, but hey, even a weak frybread is a good frybread.
