This is an odd review in that I waited for two years to write it. I had to leave a comment because it was such a memorable experience. In fact, I would say this place has become one of my son's core childhood memories. We had gone hiking at St. Mary's waterfalls and were driving back to Columbia Falls. Our whole party was famished and hadn't passed anywhere with food in a long time, and then we finally spotted this gem. The menu was small. I think they only offered pad Thai, hamburgers, and cheeseburgers during our stop. I got the pad Thai, and it was delicious. My son swears to this day that was the best burger he's ever had in his life. Maybe it's because he was so hungry, but I don't think so. I think it really was that good. We're on another national park adventure now, and this place came up in our ruminations. None of us could remember the name, but after finally hunting it down, I decided it was time to leave a review. read more

This place is under new ownership and the people who run it have been here for like 8 months. This place is the perfect place if you want to be in the middle of nowhere. Cellphone reception isn't great. The wifi is okay, not perfect. This is the same as Glacier Haven Inn. Our room was ready on time and the check-in process was fast. It's a whole family who runs this place, including their kids. They do have their own restaurant in the inn, but they close at 9 PM. They have drinks, beer, wine, for sale, but no candy bars or anything. It would be nice if they have some food items for sale. The room had a double bed, and a single bed which was nice. The beds/pillows were comfortable. The TV worked great. I had no issues. I loved they had an updated heating/ac unit in the room and also a box fan. I wish they had a bigger garbage can in the room, but somebody did come into our rooms once a day and emptied our garbage. read more

OMG, the Best homemade Chinese food I have ever had in my life. The pot stickers will make you melt with flavors of ginger, spices and pork filled dumplings. We also had the sweet and sour chicken with fried rice, the fried rice is AMAZING. I always base my instant food criticism on the fried rice and this place did not disappoint. I have never written a yelp review before but my experience here was great. We pulled into the parking lot late past check in after a full day of driving and then exploring glacier national park (we were so exhausted, we were practically delirious). When we got there, Steve was incredibly helpful, kind, and patient. He gave us maps, recommendations for near by locations and hikes, and genuinely wanted to make sure we were safe and had a good time on our trip. He also showed us around the dry cabin we booked, including the nearby bathroom and laundry area (both incredibly clean). Then, when some people in my party decided they'd prefer an upgraded room, he patiently and courteously assisted us in upgrading our room. He even offered to put extra coffee in our room after I told him I couldn't live without coffee . He was great! Besides the EXCELLENT customer service, our room was perfect! It had a microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker. The beds were warm, comfortable, and topped with soft quilts. On our 10 day trip out west. I felt most comfortable and slept best here. I would 100% recommend for anyone looking for an affordable, comfortable, and convenient place to stay near Glacier National Park (it's exactly 20 mins from the west entrance). I will definitely be booking again next time I'm out in that area. read more

Don't bother stopping at this location, Owner managed to offend all 6 adults in our part in a matter of minutes. Owner micro manages everything from not shutting the entrance door fast enough to being sure if you used the facilities you purchased something. Very Rude. Signs up that bathrooms for paying customers etc stating the nearest bathrooms were 3 miles one way and 6 miles the opposite direction. Not Very professional and not idea about customer service. Glacier Haven Inn is beautiful, clean, and well maintained. Campsites feel private with natural flora landscaping each site. Restrooms are very clean and bright. The restaurant serves tasty home cooked meals and the owners are very nice and knowledgeable of the area. I would not stay anywhere else while visiting Glacier National Park. read more

This restaurant is about 20 miles East of the West entrance of Glacier National Park. There are not alot of restaurants in this area. It is definitely worth the stop here. In the morning they have coffee drinks. We stopped for dinner and they exceeded my expectations in every way. It is family run and they did a great job with the nightly special which was ribs, vegetable fried rice and a delicious stir fried broccoli dish. It was great food no matter where you were, let alone a remote location. The chef came out to visit and the service could not have been better. read more

If you are looking for a bang for your buck, DO NOT stay here. Owner, Grant, was quite unpleasant. Yelled at an employee in front of me. Had to go back to the office for ice (which the girl explained she could only give a small amount) then back again for the wifi password. I was told by Grant that I could NOT check my email, go on Facebook, nor allow my grandson an extended call. Two minutes. Add the ants in the bathroom (that was fun....and I am talking ANTS) along with no air conditioning...I would stay there again if you paid me. At least the beds were comfortable, hence the generous one star. read more

Nice clean campground, we spent 3 nights in our 5th wheel there. Due to the time of year (late Fall) we just about had the whole campground to ourselves. John was very helpful with information concerning the area. As others have stated the train tracks were fairly close but we enjoyed watching the trains. We would definitely stay there again. read more

Randy and his wife were great! Very knowledgeable and helpful before our 5 day hike in Glacier NP. Three bedroom cabin was clean and had everything we needed. The cafe next door was perfect before stepping on to the trail. Recommend the homemade huckleberry pie. 100% pure HUCK! Very lucky to have the option to rent bear spray canisters since we were from out of town. read more

I booked through booking.com, got a emailed that my booking was confirmed with a CC and that there was no prepayment necessary. Then 1 week before my trip I get a random message late at night from the hotel. I thought it would be the usual thank for choosing to stay with us email but instead it was an email demanding my CC or else my reservation would be cancel. Huh? Strange... So I tried to call hotel a few times to confirm that this random message with no greeting or introduction on who they were was legitimate but no one picked up. I called booking.com who confirmed that there should be no prepayment and also thought that this must be a mistake and could not get ahold of the hotel either. The hotel then message again asking for my CC. I tried to explain that wasn't the stated policy that was confirmed by booking.com and that if they needed my CC info they should be able to get it from booking.com through the secure portal since I would not be comfortable giving someone my CC info over chat. Instead of responding they went ahead and cancel my reservation?! So now we are stuck with no where to stay since everything is booked up within an hours drive away. How is this place even still around with how they run their business and how they treat people? read more

My husband and I had a nice stay here. The staff was very helpful in giving us tips and advice for how to explore Glacier National Park safely. The room was clean and comfortable. One unfortunate thing is that it is close to the street and a railroad, so there's a decent amount of traffic noise. But the location is still great to visit the park, so it may be a fair trade-off. read more

I would like to comment on the fact that the owner of this property is a real piece of work. We pulled into a completely empty parking lot with a closed sign on the door. With the AC in our motorhome going on the fritz we need to make a quick stop. We were not parked on the property for 5 minutes when this enraged man comes barreling through the parking lot yelling at my husband. When I tried to talk to him he screamed at me that we were on private property. That I was unaware of since it was a motel/restaurant parking lot on the side of an extremely busy highway. After telling him that I would take care of the situation and that we would leave he continued to be rude and nasty. I would have to say that there is a reason his parking lot is empty. No person should ever treat any other person like that. He did not take the time to come and say "hello" or make an attempt to figure out our circumstances. Maybe next time that someone has a flat tire on his property he will call the cops. Very rude, inconsiderate, and extremely unprofessional. I not only will maintain my statements on this post, I will make sure to bring this to everyone that I speak to that intends to travel towards Glacier. I can only imagine if this is how he treats a fellow Montanan what he would do for those that are traveling from afar. read more

I made a reservation for two nights and paid for them in advance. When I got there, the place was a pit. No grass. No flat area to put up a tent. All gravel and wood chips. No shade. No table or bench. Even worse is the noise from the highway. When I called them and told them that I needed to cancel because the place was too noisy they told me too bad. No refund. For either day. If I could give this place zero stars I would for how ugly the campground is and their crappy customer service. They had the nerve to tell me I had to give 30 days notice for a refund when I only booked it yesterday. Stay away from this place read more

Glacier Haven Inn Review You will be very, very sorry if you book a room at Glacier Haven Inn, in Pinnacle, Montana. Here was our experience. We booked online, only to be told after they collected three nights of nonrefundable payment that the room had a shared bathroom, and that we could "upgrade" for an additional $116. That was just the first "gotcha". When we got there, the owner insisted on collecting the upgrade fee before we saw the room. It looked nothing like the spacious room you see on line. it was so tiny that the two of us had to carefully maneuver without bumping into each other. But the nightmare starts when you realize that the freight train track immediately behind the hotel is in use 24 x 7. Massive coal trains are in constant transit...seemingly several times every hour...all night. Add to that the busy Highway traffic in front, and you will be hammered with loud noise all night long. My wife was in tears from being unable to sleep. Terrified, actually. The owners know all about this, but you will never hear it from them or see it posted. For them, the game is all about getting advance, non refundable prepayments, and visitors who will never return. There is an abundance of lodging options nearby, but be sure to see how close they are to the freight tracks. We moved out after the first night and found a decent motel in Browning, near the east side of Glacier Park. $100 per night with breakfast included. The Going-To-The-Sun Inn & Suites. i've never written a review of any kind before, but this operation is a scam and deserves to be exposed. We will never again book with a facility that insists on non refundable, prepaid rents. Don't spoil your trip to magnificent Glacier National Park. Choose carefully. Richard Epley read more

This gem of a place is located 20 minutes from the entrance of West Glacier on Highway 2, centrally located between the West side and East side of Glacier National Park. The owners Randy and Julie really make you feel like a VIP guest, giving you all kinds of helpful advice (that is spot on, by the way) about the best (and off-the-beaten path) places to go in the Park, best places to go white water rafting, best hikes and more. It's surprisingly affordable for this area, the rooms are updated and modern and although a bit on the small side, they were impeccably clean and well kept. There's a TV, coffee maker, fridge and microwave in each room, plus a quiet fan (which we ran at night because we were there in summer). I am an extremely light sleeper and although they are located right on the highway and next to the train (which I was nervous about), with the white noise from the fan, I couldn't hear anything and slept really well (by the way, nearly 100% of the hotels/ cottages near West Glacier are directly on the highway and/or near the train). They have a full hot breakfast available on site every day but Monday; our options (seasonal) included eggs, omelets to order, waffles, toast, sausage, instant oatmeal, blueberries, strawberries, bananas, yogurt, juice and more (she even had gluten free bread for toast, just ask her for it), for $12.99 per person (in 2014). The restaurant is also open for dinner most nights of the week, they have home made huckleberry pie, and you can even pre-order lunches (sandwiches, etc.) for when you are out hiking in the national park. They make you feel like you're one of the family, go out of their way to be gracious and kind to people. Places like this are hard to find people, so please be nice to Randy, Julie and their family! My only feedback is, we happened to get assigned to room 5, which has a picnic table next to it, and there was a large group that decided to hang out at the picnic table until 11pm on a Saturday night--and they were loud--so we finally went outside and asked them to keep it down, as we were trying to sleep (the picnic table is right next to our window). They quieted down and went to bed shortly thereafter, so it wasn't an issue, just wish they had "curfew" hours or something for common areas. Other than that, you can tell that the owners here really care about details and are kind, warm and friendly. Love our experience here! read more

Randy, his wife and daughter were very nice. Unfortunately the Inn is less than desirable. First there is no a/c in the rooms but the rooms were ok and clean. It is on a busy highway with a lot of traffic noise and behind it is a busy railroad track. They also have a lot rules that inhibit your ability to have fun. Here's a big negative no cell service, no WiFi and no pay telephone. The restaurant is closed more than its open. read more

The property owner and caretaker was very nice, her name was Julie. We were checking in late and we gave her a ring to notify her. She was accommodating and waited for us until 10:30 pm. She checked us in and gave us park recommendations. She also gave us the option to upgrade our camping cabin to the hotel room, which we gladly did. The room had a microwave, cable/satellite TV and a mini fridge. Julie made sure that every morning she would remake our beds and replenish towels. We tried to minimize her efforts doing laundry and hung up our towels for reuse. But they were still replaced with fresh ones. She does offer a few food items in the store during the winter, and during the summer they offer hot food items and the kitchen is open. The motel is also located in the middle of the park and it makes it super easy to get from one point of the park to another. I definitely recommend it to any traveler! read more

The inn was even better than we expected. We came in very late, but the owner was very accomodating. He not only checked us in, but he also helped us find a restaurant in the area that he would recommended (which was also excellent). The room was clean and had a rustic feel to it. It was just what you would expect next to a national park. It was set in the woods, and it was great to wake up to the smell of pines. I would hearitily recommend this inn to anyone traveling to Glacier National Park! read more
