I'm not one to leave restaurant reviews too often but I was here on Friday night and my wife and our couple friends had a blast! Cynthia took care of us and recommended the Romulous Red and the Gladiator Gold and those were the best tasting beers I've had Really good recommendations! When the DJ got the there he played old school music and me and buddy absolutely enjoyed it he even busted a move and our server gave us a smile and a thumbs up Great food, great beer, great service! Will definitely be coming back p.s. to Saul Garcia you sat at the table in front of us pal and you were being a prick to our server all night.... not cool buddy. And took responsibility So now I change my review to 5 stars. I came to Gladiators Brew around 2:50 PM to watch the Argentina CPV World Cup match. Around 3:10 PM, I ordered food. About five minutes later, a bartender came over and asked if I wanted something to drink. I told him I still hadn't received my food yet and asked if he knew what I had ordered. He said, "No, I just got here," so I pointed to the other employee who had taken my order. After waiting nearly 30 more minutes, I still hadn't received either my soda or my meal. I finally walked up to the bartender, and he said he was busy. About 10 minutes later, he brought my soda but never apologized for the delay or acknowledged the long wait. Another 15 minutes passed, and I had still not received my food. I flagged him down again, and he asked, "What did you order?" I reminded him that I had ordered from the other employee. I waited another 10 minutes with no food. At that point, it had been almost an hour since I ordered, so I finally got the attention of the employee who originally took my order. He simply said, "OK, OK." As I write this review, it's 4:02 PM, and I still have not received my food. I understand places get busy, but the lack of communication, follow-up, and even a simple apology made this a very frustrating experience. Gladi8or is located in downtown Covina and a fun location to check out!! We were there early on a Saturday afternoon and easy enough to find street parking and seats outside. It's a huge open airy location. Walked in and looks and smells clean. They have tvs and pool tables so a great spot to hang out and watch the game. Lots of seating too! There's some outside seating and fun to people watch. Drinks are great! We didn't try any food this time but there's a lot of choices on the menu! Definitely will stop by again! read more

Gabriella is awesome! I forgot how good the food here is! Ordered Happy hour sliders, happy hour nachos and some lemon pepper wings. The sliders was really good! Bun was crisped to perfection! The burger tasted super fresh! Nachos was also good too! $8 + $3 for meat. Shouldn't have ordered the meat. It was really good but I think $3 could be a bit too much for what seemed like half a cup of chicken? But they were suuuuuper good. The chips was so fresh too. What do you do when you've worn green to work and you've finally got a moment to yourself after a few long weeks? You find a local bar celebrating St. Patty's Day of course. I picked up Gwen and we took off towards Covina figuring there would be at least one bar taking advantage of the holiday. We parked halfway down the street and decided to walk to whatever called our name. Would we head to Bread & Barley? Would we drop into a new fave Yelp restaurant (that wasn't celebrating the day)? Nah, that's no fun. We kept going until we ran into Gladi8or Brews & Billiards. First test, passed. They were celebrating Irish style. Second test, passed. They spelled Billiards right. Ha. Long story, but there is a place off the 57 fwy - a big sign that's been there for decades... and they spell it 'Billards'. When I told them, they said I was the only one who ever said anything. I'm pretty sure it's still there. That was over ten years ago. But, my design / proofing eye can't handle that. About as much as me handling any use of the Papyrus font. Shame on Avatar (IYKYK). So, back to Gladi8or, we walked in and realized it was a pretty cool place - part bar, restaurant, pool hall, club (I'm guessing). We were greeted within a minute and sat. At first pass of the menu, it was as expected. Beers they brew there - and only their brews. So, hopefully they're good. Cocktails. Special happy hour and St. Patty's Day Menu, and reg pub type fare. I ordered an Irish Red Ale, Gladi8or Burger, Garlic Fries, and house salad and we split it. Gwen doesn't drink beer much but she tried mine and loved it. We were equally impressed and happy with our food and service. All were refreshingly good. The salad wasn't anything special, but better than expected - fresh, cold, crisp, and the dressing was really good. The garlic fries were great. Would have liked a few more. The burger was quite solid. A little small to split but we both enjoyed it. Nothing was gastropub style in terms of a finer take but it also wasn't your typical 'just okay' bar food. It was pleasantly in the middle. Not pretentious. Just delicious. And, our server was attentive, friendly, and helpful. At happy hour you can play pool for $10 and it's $25 on weekends. Been here twice the place is so cool. Service is good. My complaint is their beer. Their beer is not cold. In my opinion they pour their beer in room temperature cups I requested for them to chill the cups and it makes a huge difference. First time I was there, it looked like the bartender seem to be bothered that I kept requesting for my glass to be cold. My waiter that day was amazing, but it seems like she was being told stuff because she kept requesting my glasses to be chilled, but other than that, the food is good. The environment is good. Just the temperature of the beer would be my complaint. I hope they get to change this soon. read more

They fire and rehire multiple times. Management took everything personal and would ask advice and when you would let him know how you felt personally because he asked. The waitress was very attentive, but how does a brewery not have a few of not more off the beers on their menu. No IPA's, and 3 were on their menu. My wife ordered a Michelada and I ended up ordering their Mexican lager. He Michelada was more like a bloody Marie. My beer was not cold like most places I eat at. I will say the pizza was great. Ambiance is fricking awesome! Open accordion doors in the front, mature vibe. Love love love the house music . The service was exceptional, our waitress was super friendly and accommodating. We had the pizza, French fries and sampler platter. My fave were the fries, they were crispy and delicious m. $25 for an hour of pool. The beers were $8-$11 I enjoyed the Mexican lager. Hubby got double IPA and he said it was too thick, if that makes sense. Children are allowed before 9pm then they get the boot :) I took my 4 yr old. I recently visited Gladi8or Brews and Billiards in Covina, coming all the way from Rancho Cucamonga. Before my trip, I called to confirm the kitchen hours and was told it closed at 10:15-10:30 PM, with a recommendation to arrive before 9:30 PM just in case. I arrived at 9:17 PM, only to be told by the bartender that the kitchen closed at 9:15 PM. I was really disappointed, especially since this is the second time this has happened to me. The first time was on a Sunday when I arrived at 9:00 PM and found the kitchen already closed. It seems like every time I plan to eat at Gladi8or, the kitchen is unexpectedly closed. At this point, I think I might just stick to visiting on Saturdays when I might have better luck! read more

I went there yesterday for the first and last time. The reviews are accurate--pay attention when paying because they will overcharge, add items, and I was alone with a friend. They would have taken advantage of me if I hadn't read the reviews beforehand. First, I was told the last call for alcohol was at 11:50 PM, but then the waitress said 11:15 PM, and she was closing my tab. When I asked who would take my order for additional drinks, she said someone would come, but no one did. I went up to the bar at 11:10 PM, and they refused to let me buy a beer even though last call was 11:15. I paid for a full hour but only received 50 minutes. If I had known, I wouldn't have tipped the waitress. This place is terrible--there are many better establishments that treat customers with respect. They charged me $20.54 for nothing , and when I asked her why my total was so high, she said, 'Whoops, I added someone else's order with yours.' Come on, this is obviously something they do. Ok, the food is good for the most part. If you're a pizza lover, I'd advise you take a chance because it's a tasters choice. I'm a pizza connoisseur and the pizza here tastes like Scoffers with an added twist, but you have to try it to make your own decision. We came to watch the Mexico World Cup match and noted that there's no AC regardless of the main bay doors open. In addition, there were only a few servers for approximately 100 guests, which affected the service time to get food and drinks! It was a 1-10, and then1 is because the server apologized for what was to come! ATTENTION owners! Do your self a service and to the community who is going to spend money at your establishment and make sure you plan ahead with more than 3 to 4 servers to take care of your profit margin! I asked my server if she could let management know to turn on the AC and the server laid you out! Not good! Take my advice and don't for get about the little things that you can fix that feeds your hands! On the positive, it's a fun filled atmosphere to have a good time. I really wanted to like this place. I came here a few times for the dodgers games last 2025 season, and I had a decent time, the bartenders took care of us well. I came her earlier this month, 1/9/2026, to celebrate my friends birthday. We had a great time, until we had to close out. My friend was double charged when closing out. Our friends who left earlier, closed their own tabs before leaving, however their items were on the final checks still, and doubled. We had two servers that night, one was a young man (I forgot his name) who took the first part of our orders. When he informed us that he was leaving and Camila was taking over, myself and a few others asked if we needed to re-organize the tabs, he said they would take care of it. However, towards the end of the night, the tabs were incorrect and confusing, and overcharged. I really wanted this place to become our usual, but after that experience, i won't be going here with groups of friends to avoid having confusion with the tabs. read more

I went with a party for 8 for brunch/lunch and some drinks. The place was empty when we got there around noon time. The server was awesome, all staff we encountered were great. The food was decent, not amazing but good for bar food I guess. This place is huge and Im sure is busier in the evening. I did notice the pool tables being on the smaller side. I would definitely come back to watch a Dodgers game and have some drinks during happy hour. Yesterday I came here to celebrate a birthday with a party of six. We ordered a round of drinks and later one of my friends rented a pool table, so we moved one of the tables slightly closer. At some point our tab was randomly closed without explanation. When another waitress came to start a new tab, I politely asked her why the previous one had been closed. Instead of answering the question, she snapped and told me to go ask "your waiter." Her tone was extremely rude and unprofessional, and she even stepped toward me in a confrontational way. To make things worse, someone who appeared to be the owner was watching our table at one point but did nothing to address the situation. Stopped in to a local brewery Gladi8ors brew and billiards. The UFC fight was on and a few people were playing billiards. We both ordered a beer each, me the Gladiator Gold- smooth tasting, golden Mexican lager. My guy ordered the Emperors wrath- an IPA that is dry, slightly dank, not too bitter but smooth tasting. We ordered a pastrami pizza with light pizza sauce and no onions.. The pizza came out and...drum roll.. Thin crust, pastrami was a good size cut, not too thin or too thick. It has a aioli/saracha sauce which had a different spin which was tasty. The crust is thin, which my guy liked, he ate it all. Me, I love a thicker crust, cuz it gets hard to fast which this did, but still good flavor, so a 3 for me. The service was excellent, ambiance was good, atmosphere was cold cuz its almost winter out and doors open, but it's a youngin thing.. over all a 4 for me. Will definitely recommend and return. Food is FANTASTIC!! We had Sweet & Hot Chill wings and we also had Garlic Fries with slides of fresh jalapeños! Highly recommended it! SEE PHOTOS. The VIBE is great! Age group 30 - 40 over! I believe they are working out a few kinks and they will do fine. The place gives more of a bar vibe than a restaurant. Well, then in that case it should be open seating. We found our own spot and helped others too. The one question we asked the hostess she couldn't help out with. I guess if you want to play pool you go to the hostess. I'm not sure. So the bar tenders are knowledgeable and the cocktails are where it's at. The food looks like, well, bar food. Stuff just in case you get hungry. The menu has some vocabulary errors. The word shrimp is both singular and plural. One shrimp, six shrimp. Like that. No need for an "-s" at the end when plural. Get an editor for your menu. Also there were some spacing issues Back to the food. I don't know how I feel about the food. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't marvelous; just food. They were out of the first beer on the beer on their list. Work on making sure that doesn't happen again. It was the lightest most crisp beer. Pro tip have another beer that is easily drinkable; the days of sneaking up on a full bodied beer are over. People want something they could drink all night. A light domestic beer. The entire gladiator thing is a little goofy and doesn't really go along with how amazing some of the cocktails are. It's an odd phenomenon for sure. Check the place out and give them a try.
