Best experience moving- (paired with the worst buying experience I've had). Tommy, Sid, and Salem were awesome. This moving company is amazing. The owner is professional, communicative, and understanding. I had to change my dates more than five times due to issues with the seller's lack of follow through. Even though I did this, the owner remained patient with me and very accommodating. Tommy, Sid, and Salem were absolute machines- the company name made sense once I saw them in action. We were in a 3rd floor condo in Wakefield and moved to a ranch in Georgetown. The 3 floors didn't matter- they were so fast, efficient, and definitely strong to move as much as they did. Since our closing was very last minute we didn't get the chance to box everything so they did that for us when necessary. They have boxes for closets so you don't have to take clothes out of there at all. They moved a huge treadmill, King bed, Queen bed, couch, heavy tv stand/fireplace, and so much more! Despite the off putting interaction, I would still recommend them for your move due to their honesty And work ethic we've used this company twice. first time the experience was great. second time, the movers came to pack our stuff and move us to Texas. after unpacking everything I would say the packing service is good. However boxes are vaguely labeled. (Which can easily be requested) and we had some items packed carelessly. since unpacking, we've found two pieces of furniture damaged and we aren't getting a reply from anyone at the company to address this and it's been over a week. we gave them a very very generous tip, bought food, drinks etc. and feel quite offended by the lack of communication to address the issue and come to a compromise Should I hear back from them within the next couple of days I'll edit my post. read more

I used Gladiators Moving to move my belongings (from a one-bedroom condo) in storage to my new home a couple miles away. I spoke to Vitalijus on the phone and explained that the Chicago moving company used a five-person crew to move my things from a condo onto the truck and he responded with a laugh, "They must not have been Gladiators!" A three-person crew and a massive moving truck showed up to the storage facility on-time. I was impressed that they were able to skillfully maneuver the truck on narrow streets and back it up to the storage loading dock. (This was something that the Chicago crew flat-out refused to do and insisted on using a small U-Haul to shuttle my things from their larger moving truck to storage). The three-person crew worked harmoniously, quickly, carefully and with a great attitude. They were really a delight to work with! After such a bad experience with the Chicago movers, I watched the Gladiators treating my boxes marked "fragile" with delicacy and taking care to place boxes the right side up rather than on their sides or upside down. This move cost only $500 because we paid in cash. It was such a steal for the quality of work that the Gladiators performed. I would absolutely recommend them! read more

These guys were great, and we'd choose them again! They communicated well with us throughout the process, explaining the anticipated cost and giving us some boxes to pack some of our items ahead of time (they packed the rest the day before the move). We had to re-schedule our move date due to problems at closing, and they were very understanding (in the off-season). The day of, they were friendly and professional. All of our items were transported without an issue, with a slight detraction that our grandfather clock no longer chimes and probably requires a small repair to fix. They even lifted a heavy dresser through the upstairs window without damaging the dresser or the side of the house. They made the whole process smooth and simple. The reason they don't get five stars: the initial quote didn't include packing materials and boxes, which ended up adding $1000 to the quote. So the amazingly great price became just a good price. Still, we've used moving companies before, and these guys are the best we've ever worked with. Just make sure the packing materials are included in your initial quote, and then I'd recommend wholeheartedly! read more

If I could give them a zero readings I would. In my opinion run away from this company. I spent a lot of time reviewing moving companies And all I could say now is that they must have had their friends post reviews because not one thing went smoothly. It was awful. And they were awful to deal with. Delivered wrong items, many missing items, broken items, contamination of bed bugs the absolute worst company they should be ashamed of themselves. Everything appeared fine when they gave me an estimate and committed to a date. They did show up however they could not fit everything in the trucks so they left a ton of items in the house despite the fact that my house was being sold. They intimidated me because I questioned them regarding no stickers, the truck being too small, items not being carefully to boxes. I had to throw away items and ship things at my expense because he didn't have room and it wasn't estimated correctly. I thought that was the worst part. Until they delayed my delivery by over a week and when they did show up they only have one truck!? The owner got off the truck and handed me a table that wasn't even mine and he said here's a present. It got worse from there. They did not wrap our mattresses, some of the furniture was broke, they labeled nothing. Many items were broken. Many items are still missing screws nuts and bolts which you can't buy since the furniture is unique. Nothing was put in any order or normal packing approach. Every single box was horrendous. They never delivered many items of mine even when I told them several times that I missing items they didn't care and yelled and intimidated me. They delivered a basketball hoop completely broken and unusable I had to throw it away, I had to throw away the mattresses and the boxspring (all unwrapped!) they were absolutely disgusting and filthy and filled with bedbugs that they contaminated it with. I questioned them where they kept my belongings and they gave me the address of a storage unit but clearly wherever they kept it was completely filthy and disgusting. My house was spotless and what they did to my furnishings was completely nothing short of complete neglect, breaking items, stealing furniture handing me furniture from other people and then leaving me with furniture I can't even use. He was extremely responsive before and during the move, got our furniture there in 2 days (didn't outsource the move to anyone else), and had a great crew. This is is the most unprofessional moving company I've ever worked with. They don't honor their commitments, and either don't show up at all on the promised date, or are 8 hours late. They really screwed me on my recent move. Despite a month in advance agreement, they no - showed on the first day. Then showed up 12 hours late on day 2 but with a full truck. Then 12 hours late on Day 3. They wound up finishing my job at 3am, dumping everting on the floor. They broke furniture. They broke dishes. It was a nightmare. read more

My husband and I recently hired Gladiator Moving for a cross-country move from Massachusetts to Washington State. We had serious reservations about using any moving company as we had obtained quotes from approximately 15 different national moving companies. All of them gave very large delivery windows (within 20 days) and made us nervous since we'd have little control should something go wrong. We found Gladiators Moving/Vialijus and he was so reassuring and kind. His quote was a significantly less than the major companies and he truly cares about his customers. We felt that we'd have more control/better recourse should something go wrong with the move with Gladiators than with a big corporate moving company. They also guaranteed us a delivery date which was within 5 days of them picking up our items in Massachusetts. Additionally, they towed our car for a fraction of what it would have cost us to ship it (or drive it ourselves). When they arrived here in Washington, the same gentleman who loaded us up in Mass greeted us and even dropped our car off a day before delivery (plus we had great communication with him along the way). Finally, everything was packed gently and they move quickly and work really hard. I would hire this company again in a heartbeat and would go so far as flying them out to move us should we need help here in Washington! read more

I'll be going into detail regarding my issues with this moving company below, but the issues will be summarized here: multiple date mix-ups on when our items would be picked up, inconsistencies of when the movers would show up, delays incurred by the moving company because they underestimated the weight of the truck, gasoline spilled in the truck which severely damaged our king-sized Tempur-Pedic mattress, and zero accountability for anything. I STRONGLY recommend NOT utilizing this company for your moves, as there is no accountability from the owner if anything goes wrong. When we first contacted Gladiator Moving, the owner explained that he would physically come out to our house to see all the items being moved in order to provide us with an accurate of a quote as possible. After he performed his walkthrough, he sent us over a reasonable quote. Despite us having lower quotes in-hand, we went with Gladiator. Through text messages, the owner and I agreed of a moving/pick-up date of July 27th and a delivery of our goods on July 29th at 7am. However, the quote ("contract" as the owner refers to it as, though we didn't technically sign anything) mistakenly showed a pick-up date of July 25th. So when the movers showed up on the 25th, we were totally unprepared. Yet, we still allowed them to take boxes for us to clear up room. I was then informed by the owner that the movers would arrive again on the 27th at 7:30-8:00am. The 27th arrives, and the movers did not show up at the time I was given. After going back and forth with the owner multiple times, they FINALLY arrived at 1pm. However, the truck they arrived with DID NOT contain any of the items they took two days prior. During the time the movers were packing, I WAS NOT informed that lawn mowers had to be emptied of gasoline or other liquids. MORE IMPORTANTLY, NOWHERE DOES IT STATE IN WRITING THAT GAS OR FLAMMABLE LIQUIDS NEED TO BE REMOVED PRIOR TO BEING LOADED ON THE TRUCK. It doesn't state this on the "contract" or anywhere else. Additionally, the movers CLEARLY AND KNOWINGLY loaded my lawn mower on to the truck without bothering to check if it was empty (I know this since it was full). During the trip down, the lawn-mower leaked gasoline on to my king-sized Temper-Pedic mattress (which was protected with a vinyl cover), corroded the vinyl protector, and sunk into my mattress, and ruined it. Before the movers departed with our goods on Sunday, we confirmed that the truck would arrive on Tuesday the 29th (once again, I have written confirmation of this from the owner during our text-message exchange). When Tuesday arrived, we were at our new home but no truck arrived that day. I was informed that our truck was overweight at a weigh station in Tennessee with no idea of when it would arrive. I was livid at this point, since we didn't have any additional clothes or possessions since everything we owned was on that truck. I was told by the owner that the truck would have to arrive on Wednesday by noon. Of course, that didn't happen. The moving truck didn't arrive until 7pm on Wednesday the 30th, a far cry from the 29th on Tuesday. The fact that the truck was overweight at a weigh station was a clear lack of professionalism and knowledge by the owner, since he knew EXACTLY what we were taking and how much stuff we had. Once we received all of our goods, I voiced my frustration with the owner at the multiple delays and the damage incurred to my mattress. The owner kept putting the responsibility on me, instead of humbly accepting responsibility. He offered me a $300 discount on the move which was completely and utterly laughable. He then explained that he would call me the following Sunday (July 4th) to collect payment. He ended up calling me on July 5th while I was out to dinner with my wife, celebrating our wedding anniversary. The owner had the AUDACITY to put one of his workers on the phone to once again, explain that the gas spill in the truck was my fault and not his. At this point, I simply paid him his money and will be disputing the charge. read more

The boxes are finally unpacked, and the furniture in place, and so it is time for me to sit and write this review - Superb Service!!!! Piece by Piece was recommended to me by a local realtor we met during our home search, and we are so happy to have hired them for this move. We moved from a small house on a tiny street on the furthest north point of the Massachusetts shore to an upstairs loft apartment in North Easton. From the first call, to the home estimate, to the actual move - every moment was pleasant, professional, and yes, humorous. The office staff and the crew that did the move were all great - and we really appreciated the extra boxes and packing materials they brought along, because even though I thought we would be completely packed, of course there were a few last minute items. All our furniture, artwork, and fragile items were delivered safely and nothing was damaged. We plan on moving again in a few years, to our ultimate dream home, and we will be hiring Piece by Piece, for sure! read more
