HOWEVER, staff wasn't friendly the morning i went on my own to give it a shot. i work in customer service too and will not name names or even gender the person out of respect to not single them out but beware they were very annoyed when i placed my order and i had let them know they forgot one of my drinks at the window and the person made it seem like i should've just took what i got left. Also at the window when i asked to double check if my second bagel was toasted she cut me off and said please pull up to the window. i understand not everyone is a morning person but from being in customer service as well it's not fair nor should it displayed or taken out on the customer. read more

Stopped in on our way up north. Location is great with easy on & off highway 94. Purchased a hot coffee & a cold brew. Got a nice flavorful caffeine jolt. Added a cranberry scone, warmed up, which was ok. Large spacious seating area with lots of tables, some easy chairs and couches. Novelty item is the vault, still there from when this building was a bank. Rates four stars because of the limited parking. We drove through twice before someone pulled out. Overall, good coffee, friendly/fast service & great location, we will return. read more

They have the best bagel/breakfast sandwiches, and by far the best coffee. If you want to try something truly unique go for the Dirty Harry Blended Cold Brew. It has butter, brown sugar and salted caramel which gives it the perfect amount of sweet and salty while still being able to taste the coffee. I feel like a broken record with my coffee shop reviews this week. Yet another place that doesn't have stevia. C'mon guys, it's 2018, stevia is now cheap enough that you can offer it to your customers!! I will say Butlers Coffee was good, though, and I believe a large coffee ran me $2.75 when other coffees this week were like $2.50 for a 12 ounce cup. So at least they've got the size handled. Like many people I go to Starbucks as my go to coffee shop. When Butlers popped up as a breakfast option I had to check it out. The building and decor is very simple, much like their menu. For those who just want a cup of coffee it's great. This was my first visit and I wanted my usual starbucks drink and sandwich to compare, and Butlers did it better. The sandwich was fresh the coffee did not have a burnt taste. Recently, I've had some bad experiences with starbucks and their espresso not being timed right. Honestly i love how much space is in here and I love their chairs and couches. They are really comfortable. To bad I didn't know about this place when I was taking my online classes I would have came here all the time. My one less star was for the menu layout. It doesn't encourage people adding flavors and then the featured treats I didn't see untill after I ordered my coffee. Butler's is one of the great micro-business coffee shops that I hope stays in business long after I'm gone. They are friendly, they know your name, they even remember the sweetener in your wife's tea when you forget to ask for it. And if you're in a rush, they pride themselves on being a super-fast drive thru. If you would like to enjoy something different than the corporate green aprons or the pink and brown guys, you HAVE to check out Butler's in Spring Valley!They have a great local Casa de Oro vibe, and have a huge selection of drinks and food for breakfast, lunch, or a mid-afternoon snack. My favorite is the "Breakfast Sandwich". They're a great place to hang out for a bit while sending emails and returning phone calls. They also are a good place if you need to have a little group meeting like a book club or civic group. They have plenty of space and little areas with couches so you can get comfortable. For drinks, the vegan iced mocha is next level, it's the kind of coffee you can't make at home even if you tried, a treat worth going out of your way to get. What a unique place! I wasn't expecting it to be so open and spacious with live music! The vibe there is awesome. Tons of seating areas, the staff is super friendly and nice and the coffee and food are amazing. Great space for meeting with friends studying, and very convenient if you're on the go (efficient drive thru). I love how open the space is inside and it has great outdoor seating. I've been here a couple times and have had great experiences both times. I get the Dirty Harry which tastes a lot like Harry Potter Butter Brew. Sooooo good! Their Avo everything Bagel is a must have! For how cheap it is they are not shy on the avocado! I was also very impressed with their customer service. The person taking orders and was so polite even pined his head in the window to thank customers as someone else was handing out the orders. I'm just staying in la Mesa for a couple of days. This spot popped up on Yelp so I figured I'd give it a shot and was not disappointed. For starters, the service is stellar even though they only have the drive thru working. I could hear the smiles through the intercom. The specialty lattes, especially the cookie butter latte, are absolutely delicious. The breakfast bagels are very yummy too. I highly suggest the chipotle BLTA!! I've been three times already since i found out about this place and each time I'm always impressed by the quality of the coffee, food and friendly service. I moved to Lemon Grove a year ago and was disappointed that there were no local coffee shops so when I found Gladly just a short drive from my home I was excited. My wife loves their almond milk latte with sugar free vanilla. I love their blended cold brew drinks (vanilla and dark chocolate flavors tried so far and they're both great in this sizzling heat). The Cubanita was an excellent sandwich with generous portions of meat and great quality ingredients. The drive thru is super convenient and they all wear masks and are very Friendly and helpful.
