Finally got to try some food from Graceland--including Elvis's go-to grilled banana and peanut butter sandwiches! We tried it both ways, cooked with bacon grease and butter. I definitely preferred it with butter because the bacon grease one was super heavy and oily. I also tried the cheese burger and loved the self serve condiment bar, where you could add onions, lettuce, and tomato to your liking. They also had pickles and hot sauce. I made sure to get onion rings on the side, and loved how crispy the outside was. The chili cheese fries were crinkle cut and had SO much cheese on it! It's definitely filling and a great side to share. It was a cafeteria style where you put in your order at the station and then grab your items on a tray and pay. They had lots of spots to sit, including a antique car booth! Overall, the food quality and quantity is not bad for the price. The diner itself is beautiful but oh my - it is so unorganized and has very! sticky floors. At the counter a staff member shouts out the order to their fellow employees behind the line. No one seems to hear or follow it. Therefore the wait is very long.. The food is ok.. I ordered a veggie wrap. Unseasoned and a bit too mushy.. the fries were ok. This place was cute and good enough. If you're on property for a tour you're bound to get hungry. The staff was super nice and friendly. It's a cafeteria style set up which was a little weird and they don't have very many options either but what we did get to eat was good. We had chili fries, cheeseburgers, and the fried peanut butter and banana sandwich. Honestly all get a 3.5, nothing was bad. Had to stop and see Mrs. Gladys' spot. After learning about Elvis' mom on the tour and walking around for hours, I needed to refuel. I found the diner along the museum pathway to be convenient. It was decorated nice and the staff was well organized. I liked the car in the middle of it all (great for pictures but I was all pictured out) There were a lot of menu items to choose from. I ordered a cheese pizza slice and onion ring / french fry mix. The portions were sizeable. It was ok but I was hungry! I definitely think it was quality fast food / diner food. While exploring the museums at Graceland, Diane and I stopped here for lunch. I opened with an almost obligatory Banana & Peanut Butter Sandwich grilled in butter, which had only a very skimpy layer of Peanut Butter on it. But an all-beef Classic Chicago Style Dog and French Fries were excellent, and Cheese Fries were good. It is self-service here, with cushioned chairs and booths--one partially enclosing a vintage automobile. Two replica old-fashioned gas pumps stood on the checkered floor, as well as an authentic Wurlitzer jukebox, giving the impression of a nice nostalgic '50's ambiance except for a torn seat cushion. PROS: this looked like a 1950s diner. The atmosphere, the fake Cadillac in the place to sit in, and the juke boxes all throw you back. Surprisingly, a lot of options here at this "diner". It's a perfect place to take a break after walking the grounds of Graceland and the accompanying museums and exhibits. The prices were okay but like I said they had a decent selection - like huge pizza slices, hamburgers, nachos, fries as well as the famous peanut butter and banana sandwich, Elvis' favorite food. I had the peanut butter and banana sandwich, which is basically toasted bread with peanut butter and sliced bananas on top. You can also get it with bacon but I turned it down. Sorry, Gladys... We came here for a quick bite just to quell our tummies, we were thinking a side of fries and onion rings. I wanted to try Elvis' Fried Peanut Butter and Banana Sandwich but it didn't look appealing and the reviews weren't so great. We ended up looking at the pizza menu and chose to get a slice of pizza. They only had cheese pizza left... we wanted the Alfredo pizza but they ran out and were making more but will take another 6-8 mins of wait time. Alright, so we settled for the cheese pizza. The set up is cafeteria-style. One area is the pizza, another part were the burgers and sandwiches, there's also an ice-cream section... it was a little chaotic, no specific line(s) designated. The self serve section in the middle of the restaurant were non-existent due to Covid. To get soda from the soda machine you'd have to flag an employee so they can operate the machine for you and get you your drink. Condiments were behind the counter and if you forgot to ask for one before taking your food good luck in getting back in the crowd to get a packet of salt or ketchup for your fries. It's just too unorganized for me. They should change the restaurant name to The Hound Dog restaurant or something. Not quality food and service was slow, not efficient. The tables in the dining area were dirty too. I don't think Gladys would be happy to see this if she were alive today. Disappointed with our experience. Nice decor inside though. That's all. Graceland is Elvis Disneyland with the food options to match, so don't expect some kind of fine dining experience. This is a food court with a variety of options like pizza, hot dogs, hamburgers etc- but of course we went right to the peanut butter and banana sandwiches. I liked that there was an alternative to the real deal, fried in bacon grease, with just butter, as I'm a vegetarian- apologies to The King. They have Coke Freestyle machines which would've probably rocked EP's world if he was still with us. I am not sure that this is the most fitting tribute to Gladys Presley but it seems to be the simplest meal option on the premises as it offers a direct exit back into the Graceland museum area. read more

You are at the mercy of it, and it knows this. It's cafeteria style, pretty simple and easy to follow set up. Go order what you want from the line, and then head to the check out to pay. The service is what it is, I'll leave it at that. The tables might be clean, or they may not be. Luck of what you find and what's available. We didn't bother with food, we just wanted a milkshake. The milkshakes are basically just blue bell ice cream of your choice in a blender. Worth the price point here? Probably not. A delicious way to relax while exploring Graceland? For sure. You probably aren't here cause you sought it out, but because you are at Graceland. So if your visiting, and need a snack, I'm afraid you have limited options, but this place isn't terrible, so you'll be okay! read more

This is, basically, a restaurant in an amusement park. It's not gonna be FANTASTIC. What it is is serviceable. The Graceland experience is long and this is a decent place to plop down for a break and a bite to eat. It's cafeteria style, so you grab a tray and move along the line asking for what you want. The pizza i saw them making looked AMAZING, but i skipped it to opt for the Gladys Peanut Butter Banana sandwich so famously consumed by Elvis. Ironically, the recipe is posted all over the place around Graceland and, yet, this joint did not follow that recipe. What i got was a limp, white bread pressing filled with a conservative smear of peanut butter and four banana slices. Service was decent and the atmosphere is a 50's diner and fitting to where you are. Skip the sammie and try the pizza for me. read more

So part of the "Elvis Presley's Graceland" complex (across the street from Graceland), this is one of the main places to grab lunch as you move about the museums and displays in the complex and/or take the mansion tour. This would be the Wife Restaurant to Vernon's Smokehouse (named after Elvis's parents). The decor is solid/vintage diner of the 60s era as you might expect. You can access it via the Elvis Presley's Graceland door or the ticket box office side (no ticket required). There is an employee verifying tickets to reenter the complex to ensure proper tickets are held for the rest of the exhibits. There is good variety of food options within but I went straight for the famous Peanut Butter and Banana sandwich as the kitsch item of Elvis's favorite snack. It is what it is, and not much more. A couple of slices of regular bread, then an option of butter or bacon grease (your choice) on the griddle to cook. I went bacon. A few minutes of the sandwich fully cooked on both sides and that's that. The flavor was good to great, I like peanut butter and bananas so no worry there. Not overwhelmingly filling, which I'm okay with. The price is probably a bit high but again, you're in their complex and that's the way these things go. I was pleased they had bottles of beer (national and local) to enjoy with my lunch (I just like beer what can I say). The lady at the register can open your bottle for you. I would say the whole experience was more of a snack than a meal, but I'm good with that. I stopped by the next day just to sit down and cool off with a beer and rest, so it was good for that too. The counter ordering system was good but admittedly confusing. I ordered and paid on a kiosk but that did little for me except avoid paying at the end. I thought maybe that would give me a number to call but I essentially had to order at the counter like everyone else. It was also confusing what line was for what, the more popular lines had a wait, others you could walk up and order, but natural tendency is to feel like you need to stand in the line with everyone else. The staff behind the counter did a reasonable job of shouting out "if anyone wanted [fill in the blank] there is no wait" so that helped. Maybe some staff to direct patrons would be money well spent. Clean dining room, tables, a booth made out of a car, and patio area (with umbrellas) made it nice to sit and have a nice lunch. Hours are tight to coincide with the hours of Elvis Presley's Graceland complex (not for dinner). Overall, if there again, I would go again. Might try something else. Nothing to write home about. read more

Something tells me that Gladys Smith Presley, Elvis' beloved mother, would not have approved of Gladys' Diner. As a fairly new, contemporary fast food diner in the Graceland complex, I was surprised that the menu was so simple. There are a few nods to Elvis' favorite food, such as Fried Peanut Butter & Banana sandwiches, but the rest is basically pizza slices, hot dogs and cheeseburgers, onion rings and fries. No Memphis ribs at a diner? Gladys would be upset. Nothing stood out, but at least it was edible if not high priced for what you get. Cajun sausage with toppings was decent (it's hard to mess up a hot dog). With a side of onion rings (about 50 cents a ring), and a regular soft drink, lunch set me back over $14. Graceland, with its captured guests, should try harder with its fast food monopoly. read more

This restaurant opens before the first tour at 9:00 so you can get a coffee and pastry. They are also the only restaurant that sells the infamous Peanut Butter Banana Sandwich for $4.99. I was a little grossed out when I saw how much artificial spray was placed on the electric press to toast the pre-made sandwich but this is not a healthy sandwich nor is this a restaurant with many healthy options. As most of the staff, they where unprofessional and loud. The self-kiosk was inoperative. The cashier yelled from the register area to the ladies behind the food stations for assistance because she did not know what to do. Then, the cashier wanted me to yell out my credit card number from my table across the dining area so she could find the transaction and print the receipt. Our family of 4 traveled out of state to Graceland last weekend. Graceland was fabulous but the experience at Glady's was terrible and we would not go back or recommend. The women who took our order seemed to be a lead worker in the kitchen. She had a Spanish accent with blond dyed hair pulled back with in a piney tail. When she ask us for our order at the counter, I told her I wanted an "Our Cheeseburger Rocks" because that is how it reads on the menu. She gave me a nasty look and said "what"? In a very annoyed tone. I repeated my order again. Then she said "you mean a cheese burger? " in a very annoyed response. Once everyone order their sandwich, I said I would get a side of fries as well to share. At Glady's this a called "a Basket of fries". Well, we did get the sandwiches we ordered and they were ok but our fries came in a small serving of fries in one of the 3 sandwich baskets. Funny thing is, I was charged for the "Basket of fries" . Let me tell you, I was not about to ask questions. Absolutely ridiculous. I didn't let her attitude ruin my time there but I did keep thinking about it. Needs improvement since the whole area is clean like Disneyland. Got in line and the young man was very attentive and wanted to make sure I was happy with my meal. Went to pay and the cashier was pleasant. Went to sit down and every table was dirty. It was not that busy, and the staff was standing around when they could have been cleaning the tables, and stocking the utensil area. NO forks or knives. I had to try the grilled peanut butter and bananas sandwich. It was a cold sandwich that was pulled out of the refrigerator and grilled in front of me. Still a bit cold in the middle. My french fries were taken out from under the heat lamp and placed next to the grill while my order cooked. Luke warm fries was the result. May I suggest to management to cook the sandwich then dish up the fries! The polish sausage that my wife had was better. I can at least say I tried the famous Elvis sandwich. read more
