This restaurant is located downtown in attached to the Indigo Hotel. I had the biscuits and grave with 2 eggs and my spouse had biscuit, bacon with 1 egg, and grits. We both got full quickly and the service was average, although it was refreshing to have the manager come around and check on us! Loved this brunch spot!! It was exactly what I was looking for!! I woke up craving pancakes or waffles which can be tricky for me as a vegan.. but this place had it all!! Gluten free and vegan options, I had the Blueberry Hill waffles and they were amazing.. lemon and blueberry!! Yum!! My husband had the B&J breakfast which he said was basic but good, then he also got the Country Mane fried chicken with gravy in a biscuit and he LOVED IT!!! The French toast flight was cold, eggs were missing cheese & I'm not sure the plant based sausage was actually plant based (smelled like pork). The eggs were addressed, but it took a while b/c our waitress was 1 of 2 on a morning after a concert. I received the corrected item, but they were watery, so I didn't eat them either. I also addressed the plant based meat with a gentleman, but he made excuses after mentioning that an earlier table said the same thing. A client turned me on to this place in November 2024. Now, every time I go to Memphis, which is a lot, I have to have breakfast here at least once. The food is amazing. Today, I had an epiphany. I can never remember what I had on my last visit, and I now realize it's because the biscuits are so good. I'm a biscuit snob, and these are perfect with toppings or alone. I ordered the B&J breakfast which included eggs, bacon, grits, and a biscuit. It was all great, but the standout were the eggs. I prefer a fried egg over scrambled and I like them medium well. Medium well for me is when the yolks are bright yellow and slightly congealed. No one ever gets it right, but they always do. The server was polite and on her game, which is par for the course. Cute place, central location, nice staff. Our server, Brianna, was especially sweet and attentive. The restaurant was freezing cold, though. I had the shrimp and crawfish Benedict. I'm a big Benedict fan and this one was untraditional and I don't think I liked that as much. The flavors were a bit too strong for me and for my niece who ordered the same dish. It was borderline overseasoned and too salty. I did like the cook on the egg and the grit cake was different and nice. One was overcooked - too charred. We also had the rum French toast. I didn't taste any rum. This was more like a cinnamon roll French toast. Also, I don't think they soaked long enough because they didn't have that custardy effect I like. The biscuit was delicious and the potatoes. I also heard the with waffle with chicken was tasty. Cute place to try. I wouldn't do the Benedict next time though. read more

Ok look, we have been in Memphis for two days and have been looking for good breakfast spots. I wanted to give this place at least 4 stars but can't. It's a 3 star for me due to the running out of biscuits 20 minutes after we ordered, the latte was just coffee, and fatty chicken thigh on the Rise-N-Shine. We spent close to 1.5 hours there mostly waiting on food and coffee that wasn't very hot. The server was very polite and apologetic and the chairs and vibe was chill, but that didn't make up for the subpar experience and food. read more

Th service was great and the waiter was really nice. My sister and I were not too happy with the shrimp and crawfish egg Benedict entree. First, the eggs weren't poached and our waiter requested they make those correctly. Also, there was too much sauce in the dish which made the grit cake get soggy. We arrived as a walk in at about 10 am on a Sunday without a reservation. Wait for a table for a party of 2 was only about 15 minutes which wasn't bad. We sat down and ordered drinks. After our server delivered them, she then informed us that there was a 15-20 minute wait for any order with a biscuit and they were completely out of eggs which knocked out about half of the menu. We wish the hostess would have mentioned that when we put our names on the waitlist, or that our server had mentioned that up front prior to our ordering drinks because we probably would have just gone somewhere else. One Star - An Evening of Anticipation...That Never Happened I can't actually rate the food this establishment because, despite having a reservation and arriving on time, I never got the chance to try it. My evening was an exercise in patience that ultimately ended in disappointment. Upon arrival, the restaurant was busy, which is understandable. However, after checking in, my party and I were left standing near the entrance with vague assurances that our table would be ready "soon." Soon turned into 30 minutes, then 45, with no updates from the staff. We watched as other parties, some arriving after us, were seated. Finally, after an hour of waiting, the staff started clearing tables and dimmed the lights. It became clear they were closing. No one bothered to inform us that our table wouldn't be available or apologize for the inconvenience. We were simply left standing there until the reality of the situation dawned on us. To add insult to injury, the staff seemed completely indifferent to our plight. No explanation, no apology, not even a "sorry for the wait." It was as if we were invisible. I understand that restaurants can get busy and delays happen, but the complete lack of communication and disregard for our reservation was unacceptable. The food is top tier. The restaurant is so cute. It's like a modern diner with a bar for espresso and cocktails. The espresso martini was so good. I got the steak and eggs my kids got the old McDonald and my partner got the bowl. Everything tasted delicious and was well priced. A family of four spent 54 dollars after the 20 dollar reservation reduction. The service was great she was super friendly and a gentleman was kind enough to help us as well.
