I am an African American man, with a medium brown complexion and I have gone for 2 treatments so far for laser hair removal on the front of my neck and underneath my chin. The results I'm seeing AMAZING! I have not had any adverse reactions, my skin is super smooth now, the hair is barely growing back and I have ZERO ingrown hairs now. Hi everyone, I am one of Glam's Client for laser. My friend recommended me to come to this place and I couldn't be happier. My nurse is very sweet, professional and extremely careful! The staff is also very kind and calls and follows up once in awhile. The laser machine that she uses is called, Cynosure Apogee Elite and it's honestly the best machine I've seen so far. I've been to 3 different laser places but nothing beats this machine. It has none stop cool effect throughout the entire process. I honestly was afraid of laser and heard so many stories such as, "oh my god it's so painful". Honestly, I barely feel anything on my legs, arms, and underarms. I went here to get my hair done for my friends engagement party. I wanted to get a blowout with some curls and saw on the yelp picture that a blowdry was reasonable for the price of $35. I get to the salon on time for my 1:30 PM appointment but the hair stylist was with another client and didn't finish till 2:00 PM.. Also while she was blowdrying my hair she was busy talking to the client who was sitting behind her so it kinda slowed down the process. The thing that irked me was that I came to the salon with my hair washed so all she needed to do was dry it and curl it. I wanted the curls to last a while because I have really fine thin hair so she used a straight iron to make the curls, which I wasn't concerned about. The thing that only bothered me was when I went to pay and the person at the register told me it was going to cost $55 dollars because it took extra effort to TEASE my hair, and to curl it with a straight. I don't know that reasoning should constitute an extra $20 dollars for the "additional labor" but the stylist finished my hair in only 20 minutes (the shortest time period someone has spent on me during a blowdry), she certainly didn't give her full time and attention to her work on me. read more

Yeah, this place is good. I was there for laser hair removal. They use a good, modern laser. The treatment is fast but thorough and was less painful than some other lasers I tried. They are friendly and gender agnostic, unlike some other places that offer far fewer treatment areas for males than they do for females. Their prices are reasonable in comparison to other places in L.A. as well as in international comparison: Japan, Hong Kong, Philippines, Chile and Spain are all more expensive for the same treatments. Surprising especially in regards to the Philippines, where many people travel to have cosmetic and other kinds of medical procedures done. Hong Kong was so expensive, I skipped it at ~5 times the price. I can only recommend Glam Laser. They know what they're doing. Can't comment on any other treatments as I haven't had them. read more

About 3 weeks after my first session here, I wanted to run to yelp and give this place 5 stars right away. I forced myself to wait a few months, though, and I still haven't changed my mind. Read: Total. Hair. Loss. I had huge results after the first session here!! Now that I've done my 3rd/4th sessions in various areas I almost don't need to come back anymore, because I don't really mind shaving the peach fuzz that comes back about once a month or so. It's a huge difference from having to shave every other day. :) I'm going to finish the 6-session packages I bought, though, and maybe add a few more sessions just to be thorough. Why? Because the prices are super reasonable. Take for instance the Brazilian at $50 a session. You can't even get waxed/sugared - which are temporary - for that price in most of LA. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. The nurses have great bedside manner and are very knowledgeable and attentive. This place gets my highest recommendation. read more

Having never done laser hair removal before, I thought it was going to be a breeze. Wrong! I came here to have my upper lip lasered and it hurt like a mother! This is not a testimony to their service though, I was told that it was the most sensitive part of the body to have lasered, other than the bikini line. Plus, I had really stubborn hair! Jackie was the sweetest, empathic and amazing nurse. Like seriously, I was crying bc it hurt but she was so calm and patient. She helped me numb the area with the cooling wand so I won't have to experience much pain. Love the work they do here. I've been going here for almost a year now and I am sad I didn't know about this place way before! I come for laser hair removal in many large and small areas and I've seen big results within only 1-2 sessions. And now that I have completed all 6 sessions, I only come for retouches maybe every 4-5 months IF necessary. Even when the hair grows after several months, it's very light and unnoticeable, unlike that hard hair we get after shaving. Yikes!!! It is AMAZING that I no longer have to shave, wax, thread unwanted hair. My hair used to grow almost everyday and my skin had become irritated from shaving and ingrown hair.
