Anyone who has reviewed and said bad things about customer service is clearly delusional and unrealistic. People should be thankful to do business with a nail salon that doesn't let rude and entitled clients treat the staff poorly because they're providing a service. I wish more businesses were like the girls at Glam'd because they don't have to kiss ass to get people to come back. They stand behind their AMAZING work and don't have to tolerate middle class trash who come into every establishment like they're owed something and if people don't bow down to them, they'll write a bad Yelp review. So, if you are looking for a group of mediocre nail technicians who kiss your ass to make up for your ghetto looking nails, I'd keep searching Yelp. If I can give this place zero stars I would. I work in the beauty industry and I would never do a client this way. The small problem: my toes polish is SO thick. I just got gel polish but they look like I have fake nails on my toes they're so thick. But I didn't say anything because it's just my toes. Whatever I was also was told $35 then told $45 at check out . The BIG problem I got tips and powder. One color, coffin shaped. Every nail was crooked, not just slightly but horribly crooked. I said something and she tried to fix it and just made it worse. Then two more nail techs came to fix it. After sitting another 30 minutes or so to have them fixed I still left with a few crooked nails but they're still SO thick, I had color on my fingers and my skin was glued to my nails underneath. I was still charged full price after she told me she couldn't make them perfect and when I told the owner that's kind of poor customer service all she offered was $10 off after I paid. FINAL STATEMENT: She also used a dirty nail file completely covered in while nail dust from other clients. She also stirred all the powders with a dirty nail swatch that had black gunk all over it. I had been going to the same salon for very long time, and saw some reviews about Glam'd online. I had been once, awhile ago, and decided to try them again for my Halloween nails. I have been here for both a manicure and a pedicure at separate times and I am so happy with the results! The staff is friendly and welcoming - they laugh a lot in a way that makes you feel like they love what they do. The staff has fun and funky nails - which means they are into nails and nail art- a lot of places I go the people who do your nails don't have theirs done. I ended up with a teal chrome mermaid look that I was apprehensive about (I usually do classic colors and understated polish) and I am so glad I was encouraged to branch out. Jen did a great job of making me feel at ease and emboldened to try this sassy color. The decorations are very cute and "glam" and they have comfy white thrones for pedicure chairs! The options in pedicures range from a chocolate one - that includes a CHOCOLATE CANDY BAR! To a margarita - where they rub the scrub in with slices of limes! I had a foot mask and lovely massage with the Bahama Mamma. They use liners in the bowls and clean tools! I will make this my go-to place! Seems like a lot of mixed reviews on the location but here's what me and my mom experienced: Being from CA prices were about the same as I'm used too. Workmanship was great. Place was clean and well cared for. We would come again. (More detailed see below) 1. Very Clean, decor is tasteful the staff all welcomed us as we entered and asked mom to choose a color. (They have a lot to choose from) 2. Wait was no more than 7-8 minutes and they had 5 ladies getting nails done when we entered. It was about (6ish on a Monday) 3. The all talked in English and their native language but everyone was engaged, customers to customers and staff to customers etc. it was nice. 4. There is one worker who comes off as stuck up (not gonna lie) but it's just her personality as she talks she's actually fun to talk with. I can see where someone gets a bad impression 5. My mom did the dip and they came out great! I meant to get a pic and forgot. It's been 5 days and she works in food industry and they're still perfect. We both got pedicures and they did a great job. Weird place. When calling to schedule an appt the rude receptionist said no less than four times that a $20 Deposit was required and that if I was 15 minutes late to appt I would lose deposit and a new one would Be needed. Got it. I'm an adult. Heard you the first two times. Place looks cute at first glance, but is actually kind of gross. The bling all over everything looks cheap and many pieces have fallen off so the bling looks sad. The receptionist couldn't stop shoving food in her face at the reception area. Disgusting to have to see. Immediately followed by her going to grab Taco Bell and then two of them sat at the front eating tacos, burritos and a "cheesy potato thing". Blechhhh. Literally where people are paying. Go eat in your break area, not where people are checking in and out. The biggest turn off was as customers went to pay, the receptionist put down her food and asked "will you be putting your tip on the card?" And "how will you be paying your tip?" I've never had a place even mention a tip! I have a tip for you, that's rude as heck!! Maybe ask "how was your service?" Did a fine job on nails, but was such a weird and gross vibe there that I won't be back. Advice to owners: your receptionist is disgusting. Terrible. It took 2 hours for a dip, the shape is completely uneven and messy. She kept messing up while applying the dip, which is why it took so long, until she finally had to ask for advice on how to apply it correctly and the final product looked TERRIBLE but it took so long I just paid and left. My sister's wedding was the next day so I didn't have time to get them fixed and I was very disappointed. Everyone working there also knew they looked terrible as they saw how much my technician was struggling but no one stepped in to help fix it. She also cut my cuticles. The place is inconsistent and I wouldn't recommend going in without an appointment with one of the technicians that actually knows what to do. I am currently the receptionist at Glam'd Nail Bar. I was/still am a long time client. Glam'd Nail Bar is a very relaxed and easy going nail salon. We love to joke around and have fun. It's not an environment for everyone, but I like that this salon is so different and diverse!! It's always a good time, even before I started working here. The review about Gin saying "if your mom loved you she'd get you liposuction" is not accurate. She never said that to me. We were joking around and our words got taken out of context. The first time I went to this salon it was ok. I thought the staff was a little rude but overlooked it thinking maybe they were just having a bad day. This time, I am convinced! They're RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL! I told the "receptionist" I wanted a fill in and a pedicure. I also told her I wanted a specific person to do my nails. I asked if I could have my pedicure done first to wait on my person to be free. I was told that if she was available she might be able to do my nails. That was fine, as I didn't have an appointment I understood. After I was seated and my pedicure had started... I asked her to LOOK at my nails to determine if they needed to be soaked off. I was informed that because I was sitting in one of their white pedicure chairs she couldn't/wouldn't because they don't drill (take off my gel polish) nails in the chairs. I didn't ask you to drill them, I asked you to LOOK to determine what could be done and then I could make a determination what I had time for. I was in your establishment from 12:45 to 2:50 because you wouldn't just LOOK at my nails... I was in fact late for the rest of my day. What should have been a relaxing experience turned into a very anxious one. Also, YOUR POTTY MOUTH!!! Did you ever think that you cursing with kids and people who find that type of language inappropriate present might be offensive???? It's a shame too because both times I've been my nails have looked very nice and I've gotten lots of compliments... However, I refuse to hand over my hard earned money, and not a little money, I might add, AND be treated badly. It's your business. You get to run it the way you'd like. But know this. Your talent may take you places, but it is your character and the way you treat people that will keep you there. The place is adorable and they really have a great selection of colors. With that said, I tried to love this place but in the end it comes down to me not wanting to patronize an establishment that employs mean people. I've watched as countless ladies come in for nails or pedicures only to be greeted curtly and talked about when they leave. Actually many times they talk among themselves about someone while the person is still there. Sounds ridiculous, I know, but it's true and mean spirited. Every time I've left I have wondered if they are saying something about me. I went in for a simple manicure because I had recently removed the acrylic nails. They did not remove all the glue from the acrylics and polished over it. The manicure itself was way less than stellar and pretty expensive for what they did. I will not be going back again ever. This was one of my most favorite nail experiences ever!! I was a walk in at night, they had some regulars there but had time for me. My nails look fantastic, but most of all, I had the best time. Terrible! They did not clean their stations between customers. They make you pay $20 per service as a deposit for each reservation, which goes towards your service. We had scheduled appointments that started on time. However, I spent 30 minutes with acetone on my fingers to soak off my dip while three employees including my original and second staff member openly ate their lunch at the front counter with zero concerns about me sitting there. This was after the first employee got up at least three times to answer the phone and take reservations. When the third employee finally assisted me, her work was not great and after three days my expensive "dip" is coming off. She did not get all of the old dip off so my nails had visible imperfections. The employee who helped my wife berated her the entire service about how short her nails were (she bites them). The manicure did not include anything more than a cuticle trim. No hand massage. No lotion. The whole experience was not even close to pleasant. I will never go back! The only reason we tried this place is because our regular place was booked. We won't make that mistake again!!! Absolutely one of the worst experiences we have ever had and we get our nails and toes done regularly! read more

This salon is typically my favorite. It's clean and they have a great range of colors to choose from. However, my last visit solidified the fact that I WILL NOT let the lady with the short hair do my mani/pedi ever again. She over cut my cuticles to the point that nearly every finger has hang nails. Not to mention the corner of my nails still had my previous (teal) color showing through on both my toes and fingers. I ended up coming home, reshaping the sharp edges and uneven slants and filing my rough heels after paying for a $70 service. Totally unacceptable! It's the second time I've had this lady do my nails and both times have been extremely sloppy. With this said the other girls I've been to in the salon do a great job and are my only hope of still remaining a customer. read more

Love love love this nail salon. I went to get my nails done here after a truly horrible experience somewhere else. My nails looked so good, I stayed and got a pedicure as well. The shop is SO cute. My 2nd visit to this nail salon was for Labor Day weekend. Needless to say, I was disappointed in their service. My pedicure sucked! The woman could not speak English & as a result, she screwed up what I asked for as a service. No eye contact or small conversations from her, not even a hello. On top of that, the woman failed to scrub my feet properly & she forgot all about my manicure. I had to ask another lady when they would start my manicure. Apparently, the lady who performed my manicure could not speak English well either & polished my nails incorrect too! And, guess what? I showed her a picture of what I wanted about 3 times! One lady started interpreting for her in between having loud & at times inappropriate conversations with the staff. I wanted to love this shop, but I'm planning to utilize nail services elsewhere. 2 stars for the manicurist because she tried to correct her mistakes. read more

like all of the true negative posts say they are rude and say ignorant things about anyone and if you think they won't talk about you, you're wrong! it's like they bully their paying customers so they don't come back - we've witnessed it too many times! asking them to do something on an 'off' day will either cost you $5 more each request or it's not possible to do ever (on that day) or the people who do it are not there or they will yell for Jaqueline to take over if they don't like you, they make it clear by 'being sick' or 'out of town' at your appointment time so either you get someone else or you come back and wait a couple hours but even then they might tell you that they are booked all day for the next 3 days and if they don't like your nail color or shape choice, they let the whole salon know and make fun of you and watch out, they twist your finger tips to the point of breaking your finger so if you like bullies then you'll fit right in! I have been going to the same nail salon every 2 weeks for 11 years for a gel fill and pedicure. Today I was told to try this salon since I had to change my normal appointment. I was immediately not impressed by the welcome or lack there of. Two people were too busy being on their phones at the counter than to help me. When they did look up one just pointed and went back to the phone. Didn't ask my name. Nothing. In fact I wasn't spoken to the ENTIRE time I was there other than "pick your color". It was like a sorority house where they all talked LOUDLY to one another instead of the customer. They just lost a repeat customer - I go 26 times a year at $60 + tip. Word of advice: first impressions are everything. Another pro-tip: don't lay on the counter the whole time like your at home. Totally unprofessional. (Out of 12 yelp reviews this will be the 4th horrible review. That's a tell all). Your response is to someone else. Not me. I don't do dip nails nor was anyone eating. I really wanted to like this salon, I'd heard amazing reviews and had high expectations from their pictures. Sadly I was disappointed. I came in with a design idea from Pinterest-- as a customer I know everything you see online is not realistic and feasible. However the nail techs said okay, no problem. We continued my service, but then once my dip powder was done based on that design, they said they were unable to do the art and would try their best. I would rather be told no and choose the style (colors, shape, etc) of my nails on a look that's actually achievable. I don't think I am being an unreasonable customer who is asking for the impossible. My nails are thick and the shape is just okay (a little wonky in some places), additionally the aesthetic is not my overall preference. Also, when I paid for my nails I let the girl at the front desk know I was unhappy. She was apologetic but didn't really offer a solution or suggestion-- as such, I probably wouldn't come back. And I immediately noticed the adorable princess pedicure chairs and said, "we have to go there!" Multiple times I have noticed the main 3 nail techs are young and out of the 3 Jacquelyn is very nice & professional she deserves 5 stars (Ijs). Out of the other 2 ladies there is 1 that I have seen and heard her be very rude to customers I'm not sure why she acts this way towards others especially when they are spending money at your place of work.
