BEST COLOR SELECTION IN ANCHORAGE!!! I can't even begin to explain how I have been searching far and wide for Unichrome colors and I couldn't believe this place had them! I already booked my next appointment to try out the next color I want haha Anyways, Tina squeezed me in between her other appointments last minute. I'm very picky and particular with nail shape and she executed my coffin nails PERFECTLY. We're talking precision here! This was my first time here and I'll probably never go anywhere else now. Faster service, better color selection, and very fair prices (more so than the other places I've been to). Also, we didn't have time today but I'm looking forward to seeing her design work. Next on my list to try as well!! If you're looking for a quality job that won't hurt your wallet, this is the spot for you!

This is not a super fancy spa style salon. It's family owned, and there are only 3 nail techs. The owners' children are typically present, and they're very cute and well behaved. I don't have an issue with that, but some people might. There's a tv typically playing some home improvement show. The family that owns this business are very sweet people, and they're all excellent nail techs. Because they are a small staff sometimes services can take a bit longer than usual, and there are times when appointments haven't started on time. Because I think there services are a good value it's worth it to me. I've gone to some of the fancier salons in anchorage, and have paid more for the same services with worse results. The pricing here is the cheapest I've found so far. Nail services in anchorage are in general overpriced, and I haven't been able to figure out why yet. When I first moved here I naively thought there weren't many nail salons, but that's certainly not the reason! If you're looking for a no frills salon that is skilled at doing nails then look no further than this salon!

Newer to Alaska and shocked at the cost of services here. Been paying $50 for shellac manicures and not getting pedis because nobody sees your feet in this frozen tundra. But enough was enough. I had to duck it up and deal with these dry feet. $40 for a regular pedi and $40 for deluxe which is the basic price everywhere else so why not. So worth it. Long massage, scrub, Chinese pain relief oil, hot towel, hot stones. It was great. Nothing fancy inside but everything you need

My beautiful Halloween nails !!! I just love it ! Tina is the best !!! In just little time doing my nails with her she know already what I like She did this Halloween nails so extremely ice and perfect that I think I'll will never change manicure anymore !!! I love every nail styles she did until now. She's meticulous in everything like shiny smoothness and the most important to me cleanliness. I hate when under my nails there's some hard gel left but Tina cleans so nice and I can see my beautiful nails top and under and she didn't took forever to do my nails actually was perfect timing !!! And I had the best pedicure ever with her husband that did the polish on my toes perfectly ! That's definitely my place to get beautiful nails !!! I definitely recommend ! And I say thank you to them

Came because of the good reviews and it was my moms birthday. Not only was staff rude to my mother but they were talking about us to each other, the woman who did my nails made a FaceTime call while I was in her chair, and she posed and took photos of my nails without asking me (I am also a minor). She didn't even do my nails the way I wanted them as the accent was on my ring fingers and not my middle (we did discuss the color change from brown to the red-orange). The only polite employee was the man on shift.

This place is worth the money!! I'm so picky about my nails and the owner of glamourous Nails rocked it!! She is so detail oriented and really takes her time! I honestly haven't gotten my nails done this well in a long long time! Showed her a picture of what I wanted and she created it exactly! Plus her little baby girl is adorable!

This was my go to salon in Anchorage. I've been going to Glamorous Nails on and off for 3 years. I did end up going to other salons a number of times due to the fact that their schedule fills up extremely quick. If you are getting a full set or a fill, I highly recommend booking a week in advance. Tina does an amazing job! I mean an incredible job. She takes her time making sure my nails are perfect. Not to mention the great work she does on hand painted designs. In the 3 years I've been going to Glamorous Nails, I haven't had a single broken nail and very minimal to no lifting after 2/3 weeks.

Another shot of shoddy dip on left index finger, 12/26

Came here to get my nails done before the holiday. Appointment was on 12/22, for dip powder (a long lasting service). By the evening of 12/22, dip on two of my nails had chipped--thought it was a fluke and called to get in first thing 12/23. Nails were fixed, no additional charge. It is now 12/26 and two dips have shattered (one on a repaired nail) and another has cracked. It was $65 for my nails to last not even four days. Not worth it. Note: I am not hard on my nails AT ALL, and in fact spent most of the past few days asking for help opening things so as to avoid a repeat of the shattering/cracking

Hidden Gem in Alaska! Very clean and professional pampering. Will be back whenever I'm in Alaska. Absolutely lovely staff

I've been seeing Tina for my nails for many many years. Always so happy with how they come out!

I arrived about 10 minutes before and was greeted and asked if I wanted tea, coffee, or water. Picked my color, sat in the chair, and started the pedicure. At first I thought the leg massage was a bit short but oh no, the leg massage came AFTER the polish was applied. The massage was likely the best I have ever received with a pedicure and doing it after gave the polish time to dry. What a great idea! (I've never had that happen before). Small family-run business with three pedicure and two manicure stations. Clean and bright, even on a dreary, rainy day. My salon at home advised me to stay away from salons that use the plastic bags so I was happy to see they were not used here. I didn't ask ahead of time what the price was and was pleasantly surprised to learn it was $40, less than I pay at home. There was no upsell pressure, just one of the best pedicures I've ever had! Easy five plus stars!

This time I was extremely disappointed in the service. I went with my friend, the man who gave her a pedicure understood English, we both wanted the basic pedicure without gel polish. The lady I got ( I think she's the owner) never asked me what I wanted but I told her I DID NOT want gel polish. Halfway through the pedicure I realize she's doing way more to my feet than my friend. I told the lady I just wanted the basic pedicure No gel polish. In the end she still puts gel polish on my toes & charges me 25 extra. The entire time she was being really rough on my feet and one of my toes started bleeding. She completely ignored me. I paid $65 dollars for this pedicure, super unhappy. I know she understood that I wanted the basic pedicure with no polish. Then I left the tip part blank because I was frustrated but didn't want to make a scene. She pointed to it and asked me to tip her. So fine I tipped her $7. I will not be coming back here again. I didn't want to spend $73 on a pedicure that made me uncomfortable and bleed.

Jennyfer did an incredible job on my nails, they looked beautiful. She was very sweet and…read moreprofessional. In short, the front desk was disorganized and it seems pricing was a little out of control and underhanded. The place was bustling and I hope the workers are getting breaks and a good commission. The front desk was very disorganized despite me having an appointment and kept telling me they were getting me in right away despite me making it clear I didn't mind waiting at all and I just requested to sit outside in the sun and gave them my number to call me when they're ACTUALLY ready for me instead of having me wait for 30+ minutes. Once I started having my nails done, I was told that I had to do a builder gel because my nails were too bendy, and I explained I wouldn't blame the technician at all if the results were compromised because of my bendy nails, and she insisted that she kind of had to do a builder gel. I was fine with that because she's the professional and I trust her :) despite not doing my research on builder gel beforehand and not expecting to pay the price increase coming into my appointment. Once I agreed on pricing and service choices, she told me she was giving me a good deal because she wasn't charging me for cutting my cuticles and filing the edges, and she would usually have to. Since when did salons start charging EXTRA for inherent parts of manicures? More so in bad taste of ownership. I didn't ask for reshaping of my nails, they didn't need to be cut (I wanted to keep my length), I just wanted a french tip and it was presented to me as if she was doing me a favor for doing parts of a manicure that are inherent parts of manicuring. Once she did the builder gel my nails were burning badly and I didn't complain once but she noticed I was having a hard time when my nails were in the UV lamp, and let me know it hurts everyone and I assumed it was my fault for having thinner nails at the time of the service but it would've been nice to know I could expect above average burning for a service I didn't ask for. Ive used the UV lights many times getting manicures sporadically over the course of the last 10 years but this was a new level of burn. I don't blame her at all, just think it was something to warn about since all the technicians seem to know what builder gel feels like to get done. Jennyfer was outstanding and I'm sure following the standard of nail salons nowadays: upsell, charge as much additionally as you can since clients will do it as they're already at their appointment and probably won't just get up and leave if they don't want to pay for out of the norm, unexpected add-ons presented as necessity. I understand that in Alaska, nail techs can charge whatever because the lack of competition and I know service prices are getting spendy everywhere, but I was yet again unimpressed by the seemingly sly way these salons are upselling during the service (industry standard it seems). Jennyfer did make my nails beautiful though and I'll now have to come back to pay for a fill or remove the gel which isn't something I was looking to do, but appreciated her artistry. I've never left such a long review before so I hope management will take this review in stride and as constructive and not get defensive with me in response
