BEST COLOR SELECTION IN ANCHORAGE!!! I can't even begin to explain how I have been searching far and wide for Unichrome colors and I couldn't believe this place had them! I already booked my next appointment to try out the next color I want haha Anyways, Tina squeezed me in between her other appointments last minute. I'm very picky and particular with nail shape and she executed my coffin nails PERFECTLY. We're talking precision here! This was my first time here and I'll probably never go anywhere else now. Faster service, better color selection, and very fair prices (more so than the other places I've been to). Also, we didn't have time today but I'm looking forward to seeing her design work. Next on my list to try as well!! If you're looking for a quality job that won't hurt your wallet, this is the spot for you!

This is not a super fancy spa style salon. It's family owned, and there are only 3 nail techs. The owners' children are typically present, and they're very cute and well behaved. I don't have an issue with that, but some people might. There's a tv typically playing some home improvement show. The family that owns this business are very sweet people, and they're all excellent nail techs. Because they are a small staff sometimes services can take a bit longer than usual, and there are times when appointments haven't started on time. Because I think there services are a good value it's worth it to me. I've gone to some of the fancier salons in anchorage, and have paid more for the same services with worse results. The pricing here is the cheapest I've found so far. Nail services in anchorage are in general overpriced, and I haven't been able to figure out why yet. When I first moved here I naively thought there weren't many nail salons, but that's certainly not the reason! If you're looking for a no frills salon that is skilled at doing nails then look no further than this salon!

Newer to Alaska and shocked at the cost of services here. Been paying $50 for shellac manicures and not getting pedis because nobody sees your feet in this frozen tundra. But enough was enough. I had to duck it up and deal with these dry feet. $40 for a regular pedi and $40 for deluxe which is the basic price everywhere else so why not. So worth it. Long massage, scrub, Chinese pain relief oil, hot towel, hot stones. It was great. Nothing fancy inside but everything you need

Came because of the good reviews and it was my moms birthday. Not only was staff rude to my mother but they were talking about us to each other, the woman who did my nails made a FaceTime call while I was in her chair, and she posed and took photos of my nails without asking me (I am also a minor). She didn't even do my nails the way I wanted them as the accent was on my ring fingers and not my middle (we did discuss the color change from brown to the red-orange). The only polite employee was the man on shift.

My beautiful Halloween nails !!! I just love it ! Tina is the best !!! In just little time doing my nails with her she know already what I like She did this Halloween nails so extremely ice and perfect that I think I'll will never change manicure anymore !!! I love every nail styles she did until now. She's meticulous in everything like shiny smoothness and the most important to me cleanliness. This place is worth the money!! I'm so picky about my nails and the owner of glamourous Nails rocked it!! She is so detail oriented and really takes her time! This was my go to salon in Anchorage. I've been going to Glamorous Nails on and off for 3 years. I did end up going to other salons a number of times due to the fact that their schedule fills up extremely quick. If you are getting a full set or a fill, I highly recommend booking a week in advance. Tina does an amazing job! I mean an incredible job. She takes her time making sure my nails are perfect. Not to mention the great work she does on hand painted designs. In the 3 years I've been going to Glamorous Nails, I haven't had a single broken nail and very minimal to no lifting after 2/3 weeks.

Called in to ask if they had an open spot for an appointment (full set acrylic) & was told i could get one in 15 minutes ! i was very pleased with the time & the woman who did my nails did AMAZING ! Came here to get my nails done before the holiday. Appointment was on 12/22, for dip powder (a long lasting service). By the evening of 12/22, dip on two of my nails had chipped--thought it was a fluke and called to get in first thing 12/23. Nails were fixed, no additional charge. It is now 12/26 and two dips have shattered (one on a repaired nail) and another has cracked. It was $65 for my nails to last not even four days. Not worth it. Note: I am not hard on my nails AT ALL, and in fact spent most of the past few days asking for help opening things so as to avoid a repeat of the shattering/cracking

Walked in and was able to get an acrylic fill fast! But it got quite busy after one of the ladies started working on my nails. Being as indecisive as I am it took me a while to pick a color but she was patient with me which was greatly appreciated. Super affordable too!! My daughter found this wonderful place on yelp. I got the deluxe pedicure and I almost fell asleep during the 20+ minute foot/leg massage. I also got the shellac manicure which I absolutely loved. The hand/arm massage was amazing! We will definitely will be back when we are in town again. They were so friendly and I left feeling pampered and beautiful. I'm going to sleep like a baby tonight. read more

I booked a appointment for acrylic nails, and ended up calling telling them I'll be late, and ended up being late 5 more minutes late, and they were still able to get me in right away ! Place is super clean and I really enjoyed my experience. Before I go anywhere I read reviews and this place has the best reviews for a reason. I got the almond shape and it came out great! Went there for longer lasting gel nail polish; It's already peeling off after three days. You could tell even though we had an appointment, and were the only ones in the shop, they were trying to rush and be lazy. My friend's French tips were just glued on extensions with clear nail polish on top and it made her nails look bad and disproportional. read more

Went bc of yelp reviews and did not regret it. One of the best pedis I've gotten and for a great price at $30 for a basic. My technician took her time on the massage which I appreciated and the polish job turned out flawless. Massage chairs all look pretty new, functional and comfy. There were only 3 technicians working, they told us they'd have openings for 2 pedis within an hour so we left our names and when we got back they started up on my friend right away, took them maybe 15 minutes to get to me but I wasn't in a rush so I didn't mind. Seemed like they get a lot of regulars that they all know pretty well. Not a super poshy place but it's clean and everyone's friendly and they pedis well so I would definitely recommend this place! read more

Love love love. Came in for an Easter pedicure and had a photo idea of what I was hoping for. They surpassed my expectations. Super cute and fun design and I love that they were willing and cheerful about my specific request. The massage (I did the deluxe) was strong without being painful- and I like to feel it. Not a tickle. I am very pleased and will be back. Finally, a place in Anchorage that can do ombré and custom creations. Yay! read more

I tried this place out because it seemed to have good reviews, but that did not represent my experience today. I walked in with my little cousin and all we wanted was a basic mani and a full set acrylic. There were only 3 workers there and were all busy but had us pick a color and sit down and wait. We waited 10 minutes and then were both attended to. The women doing my cousins nails kept trying to convince me to let her do gel which was $20 more and became rude when I said multiple times no. None of the workers spoke to us, only spoke with each other. When a lady getting a pedicure tried to make conversation with the nail technician he turned away and wouldn't reply. The women rushed my cousin and did an average job that I could do better than. She missed spots and had it on her skin. My women was alright but are still hurting 8 hrs later when they shouldn't at all. It was dirty inside and it took 10 minutes to pay because none of them knew how to use the credit card machine. PSA !!!!! They DO NOT use clean tools. Make sure you tell them to get a new one (file, buffer, etc.) if it has white streaks it's been used before. read more

I got a few pedicures here before and they did a great job, with the old owners. These new owners are good but they think they can bring in their kids and babysit them while they take care of clients that are paying good money to get their nails done. I got a great pedicure from there last time but their daughter kept climbing in everything and running around. Also, some of the television shows they put on are not appropriate for a nail salon. I mainly go to this place because it is so close to my house. Ever since the new people took over its been going down hill quick. This used to be the place to get a mani/pedi, but now there's usually no one in there. The place is clean and people there are very friendly, but just not up to par like it was. They do great manis/pedis, good massages, mine lasted at least 2 weeks. read more

My sister and I decided to go here last minute cause we were in need of a salon trip. She looked up their reviews on a few different social media platforms and said it looked pretty good. We called around 6:45pm, and got there around 7:10pm, and didn't leave until after 8:30-45ish. Note: they closed at 8pm. I got a pedicure by Quoc and he was in no rush what so ever. Took his time and was very thorough. I was afraid that they were going to rush us since they were closing soon but that wasn't the deal. My sister got a full set by Tina and she was in no rush neither. Both nail techs took their time and really had that 5 star customer service. Will definitely be coming back. read more

Me and my mom came here to get pedicures, and nails done. I got acrylic with shellac and some designs and it turned out so good! Ivy was awesome and I highly recommend going here. It's the best place I've gone to here in Anchorage. Everyone was very friendly and the prices were awesome as well. The pedicure was the best with a nice foot and calf massage. My mom also got her arms massaged after her French manicure and she really enjoyed it. HIGHLY recommend. They are up to date on all the new trendy nail styles such as chrome nails, marble nails, and anything you bring them a picture of they can do! Going to glamorous nails was my first time and the people were helpful cause I was originally gonna get a filling but I thought I filling was just a acrylic only without the polish only. So I got a basic acrylic coffin shape and I didn't get the lady's name but she did a good job but she filed my nails kind of funny. Some of were filed more than the other side of the nail or curved. My only complaint is the shaping of the nails, I got my nails done before and they were shaped better than this. But so far this was my second best acrylics I've gotten them done. read more

This is the best mani and pedi place in Anchorage! I've been to several and the quality of service doesn't compare. The entire staff was very polite and professional. Quoc (mani) and Txu (pedi) both did a phenomenal job. Quoc was very patient with me trying to find the correct shellac color for my nails due to work limitations, and Txu took her time and ensured that everything was done correctly. About a month ago I went somewhere else, and got a full set. I wasn't happy. When it came time to get a fill for my acrylics I did a little more research, on Yelp of course, and found this place. Ivy was awesome. Not only did she fix what the other place screwed up but she did an amazing job, and was very friendly. My mother in law came with me and got a full set for the first time in 15 years and was blown away by what an amazing job they did. Sorry I didn't catch the name of the girl who did her nails. They are reasonably priced, and attentive. They do accept walk ins, but I recommend making an appointment because they are super busy. It's not a nail factory, they really do take their time, and it shows. Side note, if you haven't tried gel polish before, which I hadn't until now, I HIGHLY recommend it. There is no dry time, because it hardens with a uv light, and it is durable. I'm a mom of 3 boys all under the age of 10 and it's been 3 weeks since I went in and there isn't even a ding. Besides the fact I need another fill they look just as they did when I left the salon. It cost a little bit more than regular polish, but worth every penny. read more

Went here yesterday evening and had a great experience. The facility was clean and had good massage chairs for pedicures. The staff was friendly and did a great job with my nails! Not to mention their kindergartener daughter was there hanging out so I got to play with her and her toys while getting my toes done. She didn't bother any customers who didn't want to play with her if playing with kids isn't your thing. But for me, it was a super fun time! read more

Called around town and this was the most reasonable priced nail salon I could find with good reviews. I gave it a try and I am very happy with the results. I got acrylic on my nail with regular nail polish. no added tip . I like my nails short and I did not get a manicure because they only look nice for a day or two and then get worse . I only payed 30 dollars which is a closer price to what I would pay in the lower 48. Definitely recommend! read more

This little nail salon is a hidden gem, which probably is good or they would be too busy! I called the night before Mother's Day and had been on my feet all day, desperate to get some pampering. They fitted me in even though they had to stay an extra hour! I was so pampered, it was the best mani pedi ever. The deluxe version is to die for! This is a very busy place, so make an appointment! It will be totally worth it! Really good job on my nails, perfect shape, and I'm picky! Not too round, not too square! It's a little bit of a drive for me, but this will be my "go to" nail salon from now on! read more

Pedicure was wonderful (one of the best massages I've had and polish looks great). Eyebrow wax was fine. Overall pretty great experience until (what I assume to be the) owners daughter started blasting children's tv show on an iPad. Sort of annoying. read more

I called ahead and they were willing to take walk-ins if not busy. When I arrived, no other customers were present. They seated us right away for two pedicures. They did have a young child hanging out in the salon, with a stroller and toddler toys. That was not much of an issue, the child was kept occupied and didn't disturb much. The space smelled nice, but felt rundown. The bathroom was clean. The nail technician working on my feet was gentle and considerate of my comfort. She wore gloves. The tools used seemed clean. The leg/foot massage was amazing. The basic pedicure included a base coat, color and top coat. And a hot towel. My daughter was the other one getting a pedicure, and the nail technician was male. He was so kind and gave her the two colors she wanted, plus a cute white polka dot design that she didn't ask for, but loved. He even came back and fixed what she messed up, he was patient and kind. The only thing I didn't love was how uncomfortable the chair was. My butt fell asleep and my lower back had no support. They bleached and cleaned the soaking tubs while we were seated there, but I appreciate that so I know it's clean. It was barely noticeable that they were cleaning it. I definitely recommend Glamorous Nails. They do quality work. read more

I came here after having average service or being flat out disappointed with other places in Anchorage. I stopped in to make an appointment, but lucky me, they got me in for a pedicure and acrylics in about 10 minutes. The place is extremely clean, welcoming and relaxing. One woman did my pedicure (the massage was to die for) and a man did my acrylics. They were friendly and professional. They were closing as my services were being finished and I asked to make an appointment for an eyebrow wax the next day. Even though they closed, they still did my brows last minute and they looked great. I won't go anywhere else!! They didn't chip and I got many compliments. read more

You got gel full set $45 and coffin shape $5 and you got gel polish ( shellac ) $25 but when you get full set or refill we already give you $5 off ! A! Total $70 ! We didn't cost anything for different colors! I know some peoples they want to get everything but they don't want to pay for it ! We work hard too ! read more

I love Glamorous Nails! Tina, Ivy and Wok are all very nice and do a great job and their prices are very reasonable. $35 for a Shellac manicure or $40 if you want a design. And I highly recommend the Deluxe pedicure. My feet and legs feel and smell wonderful for hours after my appointment. I've recommended to friends and they too have been impressed by quality and value. read more
