I would give this shop 0 stars if that were an option. My experience here today was disgusting. First of all, I got a fill in done by them just TWO days ago. Within two days, 8 of my nails are loose, able to pop off while my pinky had already popped off, and another nail broke at length but the acrylic on my nail was still there. So today I go in so they can fix it bc I JUST got them done. Now. I paid 35 for the full set. Why did they want me to pay another 25 to fix their BS work. Most I was willing to pay was 15. But they demanded 25. Fine. So the woman takes my polish off. Then asks me to PAY. To pay for what? You've done absolutely nothing to my nails but make them worse by stripping my polish. And now you demand I pay? There were women who were never asked to pay before their service. This was DISGUSTING. And they did a terrible job on my nails to begin with as they did not last even a week. Very RUSHED job on my full set. Very UNHAPPY! They were very UNPROFESSIONAL and absolutely RUDE. My wife had a mani and pedi done here, she gets her nails done every week and we just moved up here, and wanted to try a new place. She was left unimpressed and completely dissatisfied with her nails. They were rough, cuticles were not cut, polish was uneven, and on top of it, when I complained, they insisted it was the fault of my fingers. A nice, new clean nail salon in the middle of the Washingtonion shopping center. I got a gel mani and normal pedi, their prices are average but they had a grand opening 10% off so I decided to check them out. The pedicure was standard: comfortable chair, massage, exfoliation. I arrived at 2pm for mani/pedis to celebrate my daughters birthday tomorrow. I was told there was a 45 minute wait. Customers that arrived after me for the same service have since come and gone. It is now 4:15pm and we were given a very rushed pedicure however I was told there was no time to give us manicures. Had I been told that at the beginning I would've gone elsewhere to receive full service and not waste our precious time. We still need to shop. They have a disregard for time and one staff member in particular has refused to assist me every time I enter the shop although I tip well. I will no longer come to this establishment or give them my business. There seems to be a color issue so I wouldn't advise this place for any African American women. read more

Stopped in here for a bikini wax after a terrible experience at a 5-star rated salon in the area. Was a bit nervous because of the reviews but the process was hygienic, quick and thorough. It was also much less painful than much more expensive waxes I have had, and it was only $30. Since it is almost next door to where I live I will be back. read more

I wish I could give a review of zero stars because this place is absolutely awful. I've never been so disappointed and disrespected at a nail salon. Not only did they try to charge me more than they had originally said but they made my nails look like absolute shit. Shape is wrong. Gel is bumby. I had asked for my acrylic to be filled in and the lady thought that meant rip off the acrylic (WITHOUT SOAKING IT FIRST!!!!) and restarted. So as soon as she ripped the first one off I told her to just give me gel. She did one finger at a time and put it into the UV light. Not how you do it. I asked for a third coat and my nail artist ( I use the word artist extremely loosely because she shouldn't have this job) and the woman next to her scoffed at me because I wanted a thicker coat so my nails won't break. Two nails broke within 10 minutes after leaving the store. I went back to get a refund around 12:30pm. They told me nobody but the owner knew how to do refunds which is pathetic so I am now waiting for the owner and it is 3:04pm and without a question they deserve absolutely no service if this is how they treat their guests. I'm appalled by the service given to me. I will be telling absolutely everyone I know and don't know and people I see walking past not to go in there because y'all can't do nails for shit. Thanks for the worst nail experience I have EVER in my life had. I will never forget how shitty y'all are. The owner tried telling me that my nails were the problem and that in order to get my refund I have to have the nail polish taken off. The time he actually came back to the store was around 4pm. Absolutely never returning to this nail salon after the horrible experience I recently had. I have been going to this salon consistently since it first opened last year and the way I was treated at my last visit was appalling. I had asked for a full set of nails, the owner informed me he does not perform this service, handed me off to an older woman who then proceeded to literally rip my fingernail off to where it would not stop bleeding. I was patient with her but she continued to cut my fingers and I was bleeding quite a bit as the owner watched from across the room. When I got up to wash my hands I witnessed a small mouse scurry from the back room into the adjacent room. I informed the owner but he did nothing. After two hours they still charged me the full price, even though the woman had wrecked my fingernails and wasted my time. Obviously a mishandled and apparently dirty facility. This is my "go to" place for mani and pedi. Ken is amazing - very customer friendly, detailed and pampering. I've been to many nail salons in Montgomery county area, but this is by far the best place. It's also very quiet and peaceful, which is great after a long day at work and you just wanted to relax and get pampered. I love this place! read more

I've been going to this salon under the old ownership for over a year. David and his staff were friendly personable and really went out of their way to do a great job. I came in this past Saturday on 4-8-2017 to the new ownership. First off I asked for my nail and toe polish to match, which it didn't even come close but they insisted. Then the guy who did my pedicure barely touched my feet and gave me the worst pedicure I've ever had in my life. I mean he just brushed my feet with a toy little sponge, commenting that he's going to throw it away afterwards. Never even looked at my heals. Then, I had a finger nail that was broken. He just painted right over it. I asked if he could repair it or file it down and he ignored me. By this time I was just so frustrated that I wanted to get out of there. This was my first visit here and I had the nail technician right behind the front desk, I'm not sure what her name is. I came in for a fill in with gel polish. She seemed as if she was in a rush even though I called and made an appointment and there was nobody waiting. Every time she would reach for my hand she would either grab or push it away very aggressively. At the end she just gave me lotion but she put a pump of lotion on the back of my one hand and took my other hand put it on top and said, "you done", didn't even try to rub the lotion in or anything. Allow me the opportunity to tell my story ..... On a Wednesday afternoon myself and my daughter decided to try out a new nail salon located in Downtown Crown Gaithersberg, Md. Once we enter the establishment appeared to have a calm and settling atmosphere .... the lady at the desk (who we later learned was the owner) asked if she could assist us , I replied back with the service we desired she directed us to pick a color. Everything appeared to be transiting smoothly ...... oh yeah we were having manicure and pedicures. Of course my daughter ( who is only 6 years old) had finished before I did and was waiting for her nails to dry. While waiting a young child approached me and asked if she could play with my daughter, I replied " Of Course " and both girls begin to watch videos on the little girl IPad. I asked the nail technician was the little girl her daughter she replied, thats the owner 9 year old daughter. While still getting my nails done I'm watching my daughter interact with the owner daughter ... when I over hear the little ask my daughter do she want to play shop . The little girl explains that she will be the owner and my daughter will be a customer. This is were the story goes dark ..... My daughter approached the counter and states she would to have a pedicure and manicure. And all the sudden I hear the owner 9 year old daughter yell out No... My daughter replied back why not .... the owner daughter replies in a strong demanding voice GET OUT , THATS WHY WE DON'T LIKE YOUR KIND. Spontaneous silence fell immediately across the salon and everyone looked directly at me . I immediately inquired from mother and the daughter "what was meant by your kind". I immediately exit the salon never to return and will tell my story to everyone I come in contact with. How can we still maintain hate in hearts all these years against anyone because their a differences race, have a different ethnic background ,worship a different religion or have an alternative life style. I throught we were all here in America striving for the same dream A BETTER LIFE but I truly see with this incident we are no futher to eliminating racism then we were 1000 years ago. I went twice and both times the pedicure was great but not the manicure! When I was getting my manicure the manicurist acted like I was imposing on her time, rolling her eyes, and Implied I need to go to the gym. Manicure with gel polish was bumpy and indentations.
