I love Glamour Nails in Holiday Manor. The nail techs are consistently good; meaning for the most part, you can come as a "walk in" and get any tech and be very much satisfied. Most of the people I know make reservations once they have an established tech relationship. I like to support them all; unless someone does a bad job, which is yet to happen to me here. Hours are great too!! They do an amazing job at Dip nails which is my preference. I love their Dip Nails as they last so long and the Dip techs are so attentive to detail. The dip process has actually grown my nails stronger. I have friends & family that swear by their Gel nails. My point is that they do everything from classic to new & trendy. For Pedi, I get the CBD Volcano as it smells soooooo good. I always walk away smelling myself the rest of the day (hands, arms, hahaha). This is a totally relaxing pedi that hits all the senses. Pricier than the others but worth it. Prices generally are GREAT. They offer flexible price range for different budgets.... from basic to luxurious (think CBD Hot Stone Massage Pedicure with hot candle wax or paraffin added & gel). The Massage chairs are marvelous. I have my own chair at home as I love a daily deep massage. I researched heavily on the massage chairs and Glamour Nail's chairs have even better pressure functionality than mine even. Wear a hoodie and get your massage on. Lastly, they have a female tech that is a pure artist if you want to add a drawing. She is so talented and does her drawings free hand for even delicate work. It's fun to watch her in action. The price will be per finger and based on the complexity of the design. Oh, and they offer you drinks (soda, water, wine, etc.). Used them for natural nail manicures twice in three weeks for two different weddings. Both with Opi's Put it in Neutral. Pink. First lady did on Monday 10/20 and it lasted well past Sunday 10/26. Make sure the technician uses Opi base and top coat. Sam on Monday 11/10 did not use Opi and it peeled off like rubber the next day. i went w two friends & i got a brand new set of acrylic nails not even two weeks ago & every single one has fallen off. i've NEVER had any issues w my acrylics staying. it's actually so hard for me to get them off any other time but these have popped off like they were press ons. super disappointing after spending $60 on the nails. one of my friends just got gel polish painted & the color was uneven & see through in spots from lack of coats. my other friend just got a fill in & they filed her nails down & they were all crooked. do not recommend. read more

Great at first, but went down hill quickly. I think there was a change in staff because my first 3 visits for a nail dip went well. My last two were kind of a mess. They tried to fix it by putting gel polish on top of the dip, but 5 of my nails started chipping within a week. I am tough on my nails so please keep that in mind. I've been to this location before and received decent services. I really liked Holiday Manor Nail Spa, I do not like Glamour Nails. I walked in, on a Friday afternoon, just to clean up my nails with a basic manicure. I was able to be squeezed in, which at the time I thought was awesome. However, the technician rushed through my manicure and paid very little attention to detail. My full nail was not painted, there was paint where there didn't need to be paint, the shaping of most nails is uneven, and I am very disappointed. We came in on a Saturday and we're able to walk right in! We both had pedicures and gel manicures done. Our nail technicians were so friendly as well! I've been a long-term client at this location which is recently under new management. Management is a bit of an overstatement. That implies that you actively and positively participate in the running of your business. Apparently their customer service slogan is "we're not happy, until you're not happy!" appointment times are meaningless. Requests for specific technicians are meaningless. Clients are left to mill around the waiting room with no one greeting them or letting them know when a technician will be available. The outcome of your service completely depends on the luck of the draw. A few technicians are very good most are not. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere! read more

I never know what to expect when I visit a place with such a wide range of reviews, but I'm happy to report that my first experience at this nail salon was great! I made an appointment for a gel mani and pedi for 6pm and I arrived about 20 minutes early and was seated right away. You don't pick a color on the wall first; you just sit down at the station and they bring the color samples to you. They had an amazing selection of colors, I might add! My nails were done meticulously by a young man named Robert. He was a total perfectionist! The pedicure chair was very comfortable with a great massage function. I've only had my nails done by Micheal & Mary, yet the favorite among the patrons seems to be Tony. Either way, in the 2 hours(on both) occasions, everyone left with a satisfied smile. This place is beautiful inside, very clean, and they have a variety of polishes off all types. The dips are the star here though. I felt like the odd girl showing up to the party in sequins when everyone was wearing silk; getting my standard gel polish. This gem is tucked away in the Holiday Manor shopping center across from Kroger. An extremely awkward pedicure experience. Don't come here if you want a good massage. I had about a 10 minute "leg pet," not a massage. I asked multiple times for more strength but the nail technician argued with me about why she did it "light." The chairs are also sub par. Highly recommend going anywhere else. I came here with a couple girlfriends who swore by the manicures. I only get my nails done for special occasions and I had a conference where I was presenting approaching; I had to look polished (pun intended). Feeling rebellious, I decided to forego my normal French tip and opt for a solid color. There are TONS of colors to choose from. So many options, what to select?! I fell in love with OPI 207. No clue what the official color is, but it's similar to OPI Lincoln Park After Dark for those OPI fans out there. Maybe a bit lighter and more purple. Still, quite pretty. I went for the gel shellac because that's what I'm used to. I know how long they last on me, an average of 10 days looking good, but can stretch it to 14 days if I'm careful. Side note: I'm usually hard on my nails because I do a lot of outside chores and washing dishes by hand. However, I was going to a conference and then a relaxing CA vaca afterwards, no hard labor for me for a couple weeks! I got them done, saying DUH when they asked if I wanted the complimentary hand massage. While nothing to write home about, I'll take any massage over not having one. Cmon, not a dummy! After they were finished, I ooohhhed and aaaahhhed over how pretty they looked. The perfect shade and amount of shine. After tip, I paid $35. A little more expensive than the place I normally go to, but my friends loved this business so worth it, right? Plus the people that I interacted with who worked here were incredibly friendly and kind. The cleanliness and decor inside was impressive too. So what am I only giving two stars you ask? My polish lasted FOUR DAYS. Thankfully it lasted through to the end of my conference, but they began peeling and chipping up from the edges. I tried to save them by putting bandaids over it, since it was initially only my thumbs that were destroyed, but by the next morning, 6 other nails decided to join in on the peeling party. Womp. I can't stand chipped nails so I ended up peeling every single nail off. Sadly, it was far too easy to do that. Which leaves me to assume either the polish was old or it wasn't applied correctly. Regardless, I wasted $35 and will not be going back. I emailed the business to see about a refund. Silence. Not the best on customer service after all! I'm very disappointed and sad to not be able to rock my pretty nails longer. Don't waste your money. read more

I come here because it is super convenient and they can generally work even walk-ins into their schedule. Just about everyone is personable and friendly. HOWEVER, I have had to take about 3-4 months off from manicure services because they filed my nail beds down so thin all I could do is wait for my nails to fully grow out. *If I ever do my nails again I will be very proactive about them not using an electric file to remove old polish. I think they will accommodate this request, I will just need to stay on it. Quality of finish was good. I typically did Dip, which lasted 3-4 weeks max, and they have many options. They open early and they sometimes offer discounts for the first hour open. Cautiously recommend. read more

I have been getting pedicures and dips here for several years. Justin runs a tight ship when it comes to quality but they also accommodate special requests and needs. If you make an appointment you may have to wait a little but they really try to get you in ASAP even if you walk in. They are also very sterile and keep the bowls and tools clean. I've been here 4 times for a dip manicure. The first and third time were okay. The second and fourth were not. The second time I knew something was wrong because he didn't do the entire process as it was done before and then added gel to make it last longer for an extra charge. The nails were very thick and only lasted a little over a week before coming off. I went back and told them my issue and they put me with someone else who was good, but I was still charged for the service. I went back a 4th time because of that experience. The fourth time the nails weren't as nice but I thought they were okay, just a little thicker. Upon closer inspection when I got home I noticed the edges were really uneven and as they grew out it looked terrible. Also, they came off after a little over a week. I decided to try another place and I've come to realize all four times were not great and extremely rushed. The new place was cheaper and the lady took her time and my nails look better than they ever have! There are also two ladies who sit at the front two tables and two of the four times I was sat with one of them and then she requested I be moved to someone else and I was given the person who didn't seem to know how to properly do a dip manicure. read more

Everything on their website said they did nail art and would accommodate requests. I asked for a very simple ombré and was told that they couldn't do that. when I sat in the chair for my pedicure, the water was so hot that I still have red marks. Some cold water was added and I was ready for a nice soak. Nope! The nail tech started immediately without giving my nails a chance to soften. No words were spoken other than to ask if I wanted my nails trimmed (duh, kind of a big part of the pedicure) and what color I wanted. I think the whole experience lasted 20 minutes. Don't waste your time. What they charge for what you get is comical. I usually take care of my feet in between pedicure services and expect to be wowed and leaving feeling great but this was not the case. It's too bad that the space is nice because the work doesn't reflect it. My nail tech rushed through the service and was using what looked like commercial grade-cheap hand soap to do my pedicure. I promise you, dial hand soap would have been a step up from the crap they use . When it came time for the massage he used what looked/smelled like cheap baby lotion on my soaking wet skin. He barely buffed my heels. They are still as rough as they were when I arrived, If not worse because of the lack of moisturizing products. I let my polish sit for OVER two hours and still got messed up. Which can only mean old crappy polish. I will never go back. Trust me. Don't go here. read more

I came here on a whim because it was on my way to an event and I really needed my nails done before a job interview. It's pretty inside. No gaudy decorations- just pretty and clean. Justin did my nails; he's the manager. I got dip nails and he did an amazing job. Literally the first time ever getting a dip manicure where the tech did absolutely every step flawlessly including cleaning under the nails to remove any powder buildup. I asked for an almond shape on my natural nails and they're perfect. He let me know afterwards it would usually be a $5 up charge for the shape but said it would be on the house which I appreciated. I have been having my nails done here for the last couple of months. I had them put on acrylics and have had a fill about 5 times. I went in today and when they shaved the gel off the top of my index finger, there was a green fungus that had grown on my nail. The technician offered to put new acrylics on or do powder nails. I told him I needed to heal the fungus. He said it was that water had gotten between the acrylic and the fingernail. I'm not sure how clean the tools are there. Be careful ladies. read more

If I could give less of a rating for a business I would!!! Today I went in and had a fill done by a nail tech by the name Tony. I have never been so upset after leaving a nail establishment than this experience. I am fairly new to Louisville so prior to this fill I tried looking on the internet for well rated places near me, extremely misleading. I should have just stuck with my gut and gone with Yelp reviewers, but due to lack of reviews I trusted the internet on this occasion...Big Mistake!!! I called in the morning to make sure I didn't need an appointment. The young lady said they were not busy and just walk in. When I arrived I specifically stated what I wanted. I sat down and Tony started on my nails. I told him exactly what I wanted as well.. (after burning me three times) he said it was due to my previous nail tech using two different powders on my nails. I informed him that this was a brand new set and she only used one powder. This is my normal go to lady in San Fran and I know exactly what she used and did, no two powders were applied. He continued to argue with me. I then noticed once he started applying the powder he didn't use the white as I specifically stated twice when I arrived. He then argued with me again, telling me how I didn't need it this time. Now if I had any sense at all I would have gotten up and left right then, but I didn't. I was contemplating how services are worked out with paying and my next appointment. Not to mention how infuriated I was at this very moment. I am willing to pay for a service and expect to have that provided. If it's not in my best interest then speak to me reasonably, do not start arguing with me. I picked a polish this time, unlike the French tip I usually get... which I why I wanted the white and pink under and it's not even the color I chose!!! I wasn't about to say anything because at that point I wanted out of this place. I paid $42 for the without tip to have the worst nail experience and customer service experience to date. I don't recommend this establishment! I think they are over priced and need to have serious customer service training. My nails look awful and have to be redone. I will not be returning to this place for that! I want to update this review.... I gave to extra stars after today's experience. The owner Kevin and I spoke after the original horrible experience and he's very professional and after much hesitation he assured me to try one of his nail techs, named Sophie to fix my nails. I finally gathered up the courage and made some extra time to go back this morning. Sophie remembered me from that awful day and agreed my nails needed some TLC. After fixing all the work her other employee had done my nails were left looking amazing again!!! I know on the west coast great places are easy to find, but to find one here seemed a bit harder. I definitely would come to Sophie again. She really did a fabulous job!!!
