J nails is located in the town center next to the UPS store & it is actually a big salon suite, meaning when you walk in there are other independent salon owners in there so I had to ask someone if they knew "J nails" and I was pointed to the right direction. Here I am thinking I was going to be able to walk into a salon and possibly do a "walk in" appt but it is actually just Jolyn here in her private nail studio. Luckily, she was finishing up a client and said she can take me after. Very sweet & a true nail artist. I love the private vibes in here. I am pretty picky about my nails and let me tell you... I am so happy & lucky to have found her! Her work speaks for itself, beautifully crafted & she gives amazing hand massages. She also confirmed a few times if I liked what she did including my nail shape, color of my nail and the width of the tip on my French manicure. I appreciated that and she adjusted accordingly. She significantly filed down the gel polish on my nails when I walked in and soaked them but it left a discoloration on my nails so I had to go darker on the main nail coat. That was not fully her fault though. The tips were still a bit too thick for me but acceptable for my length of nails currently. The salon was clean and staff was friendly. The manicure overall was average but I did appreciate her doing an extra coat for me.

She got my favorite shape (pointy) just right and the color was perfect! I also got one of their special pedi and it was worth every dime. It was so relaxing and it made my feet super soft! Although they were closing at 7pm, they were still so happy to take me. Jaz did my deluxe pedicure which included an in house blueberry scented sugar scrub, mask, and lotion. She did amazing especially while doing my massage! She was considerate and constantly checked in with me to make sure I was comfortable. Due to exceptional customer service, I decided to come back the following morning for my manicure. Jaz did my fingernails as well and they looked brand new with the buff and shine. Not to mention her cuticle work was also very clean. Since we ran out of time the evening before, she gave me the paraffin wax treatment for my feet which made them extra soft. Overall I was very relaxed during both times of me coming to this salon. I was very impressed with the service and cleanliness. I will definitely be returning back to this salon and recommend others give it a try as well.

I've never paid so much for a gel pedicure, let alone the worst one I've ever had - one that I had to immediately go home and fix. When one part of a pedicure goes poorly, it's very much forgivable. A bad polish. A nicked cuticle. Etc. But when all of it happens, you leave upset that you spent your very limited alone time there. I've never had a pedicure where I had to ask for the nails to be corrected to be straight instead of crooked. I've never had a nail tech completely miss a nail entirely. I've never had a nail tech not clean under the nails. Or not trim the corners. I've never had my gel polish lift after less than 24 hours. I know some people go get their nails done to socialize, but some of us go because we are busy moms who need 45 minutes of indulgence and peace-- you won't find that here. It was high energy, a lot of loud chatter, and the movie Hustlers. If it wasn't the most expensive pedicure I've ever had, I think I'd be a little more forgiving. But I wasted my time, and my money. If you have new techs learning, that's fine. But don't charge $75 then pressure to tip. Luckily I was able to even things out at home myself, but what a disappointment :( Won't be back, unfortunately. With their customer service and hustle, I really wish I could support their business.
