You start out by leisurely kayaking 1/2 mile down a river. They have double and single open kayaks. You do step in the water to get in, so wear appropriate shoes! When you get to the wooded challenge location, the guide gives you directions and tells you what to expect. Our team of three were the only ones competing so we were racing against the clock rather than other teams. We completed six different challenges (some physical, some mental). It definitely gave off escape room/Survivor/MTV The Challenge vibes. The owner Jeff and our guide Noah were both very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and the overall experience. After unlocking our kayaks in the last challenge, it was a kayak race back to the finish line! My only complaint is they don't have a second challenge that we could sign up and do tomorrow! There's a nice shelter at the river house to rest under when you get back, bathroom, and even a camping area for groups that want to stay overnight. Luckily I was able to book a glass bottom kayak for a sunset tour! The tour lasted a little under 2 hours. I was super nervous at first but eventually got the hang of it. Our guide was very helpful and informative! We kayaked along the channel, enjoyed the sunset, and even took a group shot! Unfortunately the water was too murky to see the bottom, but we did see the seaweed underneath us. Highly recommend when the weather is nice!
