We had our door installed by Glass Design yesterday. It is beautiful! We love it. The entire experience was delightful (except for waiting for permitting which has nothing to do with them). The staff is so helpful and professional. My first interaction was, with the design consultant, she was knowledgeable, professional and went above and beyond to meet our needs. As the process went on we dealt with Scott, in scheduling. He was a delight and helped us with some extenuating circumstances we had with a time crunch, our insurance is running out. He thought out of the box to help us get what we needed in the time frame we needed it. Then came the day of install. Matt and Brandon showed up on time with my new door. They were courteous and professional as well. They did a fabulous job taking out the old door and installing the new one. The were careful did not damage anything, of which I was really nervous about, and were meticulous with putting the door in and doing the finish work to get things back where they were. They did a great job cleaning up and you would never know they were there except for my new door. Thank you Glass Design for being an honest and professional company. While we are pleased with the design choice of our door and the installation, we are not happy with the construction of the door. The glass is not integrated as we expected. The glass is set into the door from the backside and secured with u-channel. The design is beautiful from the inside of the door but not very visisble from the outside. If you choose to purchase a custom design, be aware of how the door is constructed as this is not an integrated door. read more

The quality of the glass was excellent. However, the service was beyond poor. Months and months of delay, followed by terrible installation of the glass and virtually no communication from the company unless we called them. I highly recommend their glass. We remodeled our master bath, we made the decision to have a frameless shower door installed. A neighbor had used Glass Design to put in a fixed panel on her shower and was pleased with the work. On march 28 2019 i went into Glass Design with a rough sketch of the opening and a plan on what i wanted for hardware. A pleasant helped me, she said the sales person Thresa was tied up, but that she could get the process going for me, she told me that they would email me a rough quote with 48 hrs, and that once the installer came for a final measurement, the price may increase slightly. After waiting a few days, the quote was finally sent, they requested a 50% deposit, which i paid, after i paid i was told the final measurement could only be done after the tile was installed (wish i had known,as they had $808 of mine, and tile work was a couple weeks away from being completed. The day the tile was work was done, the installer came and did a final measurement,very nice man,polite and professional. They sent out an amended quote via email for me to initial and send back. I did so on my phone, and the drawing was a little hard to see,the price now increased $150 or so. Early the next week i opened the drawing up on my computer, the drawing was not what i asked for, the shower had been modified to one with a thin frame and header piece. I called immediately, and spoke to Theresa and informed her of the mix up, she said no problem, that they could do it the way i wanted, but there would be another up charge, again another $150 or so, i explained to Theresa that we had been with out the shower for a while, and would this mix up hold us up? would she be able to stay on track with the original install date, she told me...she had construction going on at her house and there had been delays.. so i guess she was telling me.. Too Bad for you... every communication with this person was one i had to initiate , and when i did call, her response was that ...she was just going to call...uh huh. the Sales side of this project was about as poor as service can get. The happy news was with the installer, Bill, he and his helper did an awesome job installing the shower, they covered the floor, took care to work neatly, and left the new bath as they had found it, spotless. read more

I wish I would have had a good experience with this company, because I really did like the product. Unfortunately, that was not the case. After some research and a few visits to the showroom, I decided on a glass insert for my front entry door. I gave measurements, sent photos of my door, and suggested someone come to confirm that the product would work before ordering. They assured me (in writing) that the insert they were ordering was correct -- a standard size -- and declined my suggestion to inspect the actual door first. So when the insert finally arrived (late), we scheduled the installation. Two men came out, took off my door, but told me the insert would not fit properly because the cutout on my door was larger than expected. They said they could put some "shims" in to compensate for the extra space, but would not guarantee their work, even though they were "very confident" that the modification would solve the problem. So before proceeding, I called and spoke at length with the general manager. She told me there was no way they could have known about the size of the cutout until taking off my door at the time of installation, so it was not their fault that the insert did not fit; therefore, they could not guarantee "someone else's" work. I explained that I didn't expect them to guarantee someone else's work; I wanted them to guarantee their modification. We finally agreed -- after much discussion and compromise (on my part) -- that they would stand behind their work for a period of one year, promising to correct any problems that may arise at no charge for labor; I agreed to pay for any parts that may be necessary. But in less than five minutes, the GM called me back to say she had changed her mind, and there would be no guarantee of any kind. I couldn't believe she went back on her word! At one point in our conversation, she said they would be the ones taking the risk, and that I "didn't have any skin in the game"! I was paying $1400 for a glass insert! So she initiated a refund and the installers left. The next day, I sent an email to the GM, expressing my disappointment and frustration, but to no avail. I then sent an email to the president of the company, who also offered no satisfaction. Frankly, I was shocked at their lack of professionalism and integrity. I apologize for the lengthiness of this submission, but I feel that it is important to be aware of the limitations of this company. Even when circumstances are less than ideal, a reputable company that employs professionals should still be equipped to rise to the occasion. A good product is important, but so are trustworthiness and integrity, two qualities this company sorely lacks. read more

It is rare to find a company these days that is concerned about the customer experience every step of the way - they are.
