Granted there was a slight language barrier with one of the waitresses but the other one on duty was excellent and both where more than capable. The Food and complementary starter where really nice. Would definitely visit again.

The meat quality is better than average - but the steaks are not cheap. I paid £20.95 for a 300g (10.6 ounces) sirloin steak with a baked potato. A sauce (peppercorn, mushroom, cheese etc) costs extra. Salad costs extra, too, but you'll have access to a salad buffet. The steak was very well prepared, though I'd suggest that if you want medium rare, you'd order rare, medium rare if you want medium, and so on. The beer selection is not great. Fosters (Yuck!) is the "cheapest" on tap, 4.95 for a pint. The slightly better Heineken will cost you 5.25. All other beers are 330cl and bottled only. There's a wine selection, of course. The decor is a wee bit shabby, the furniture has seen better days. The waitress was efficient and friendly, but the owner, a middle aged grumpster, was hovering about without a word to any of the customers. Very unpleasant. Upon your visit you'll be given a voucher for 50% off your next steak dinner, starter and 1 side (like the baked potato) included. With that discount it is a good deal, without the voucher, it's .... London. Would go there again with the voucher.

I ordered The Highlander (Woodford Reserve Bourbon, Tio Pepe Sherry, Roots Diktarmo, Cherry & Vanilla) cocktail to enjoy while I waited for my meal. This was a very smooth drink. They were offering a complimentary Beef-Fat Washed Old Fashioned (Woodford Reserve Bourbon Old Fashioned with the bourbon infused with nuts and umami-packed beef fat) to Dads. Unfortunately the nut infusion precluded me from trying it. I had a complimentary Old Fashioned instead. It was just as good as The Highlander. My meal consisted of Beef Carpaccio and Steak Salad. The carpaccio was razor thin. Both dishes were delicious. I closed out the meal with the Chocolate Sorbet. This was one of the best meals I had in London on this trip. If you are on a schedule, make sure to let your server know in advance. Otherwise, their leisurely serving pace might stress you out.

Everything was grilled right in front of me but the sandwich ended up being smaller than I expected, though the generous portion of chips made up for it. I would have been disappointed with the £10 sandwich though. Chips were excellent though I was annoyed that they didn't have any containers for sauce and instead squirted it right in the box, which made some of the chips soggy by the time I got back to my flat. The steak was a bit gamey honestly and didn't taste super high quality. I did quite like the bread the sandwich was on however. It was fine but I won't be adding it to my regular lunch list.

The steak is so juicy and tender, and they give you huge chunks at a reasonable price. Also, take advantage of their chimichurri sauce! I put a ridiculous amount of chimichurri on mine, and it tasted like heaven. This food stand probably has one of the longer waits, but I guarantee you that it's worth it! My mouth is watering as I'm typing this. Will definitely seek this place out again the next time I'm in London!

I had an absolutely outstanding meal here tonight…read more Latino America is a recent addition to the restaurant scene here in Hove. It is in fact the first Argentinian restaurant in East Sussex, something I only found out today! We only happened to go here because we tried to go to Makara next door but it was fully booked, so we thought we might as well give Latino America a go. I'd never had Argentinian food before, so I wasn't really sure what to expect, but upon looking at the menu there is a lot of choice, especially when it comes to meat! I noticed there was a good selection of vegetarian food on offer too, not your bog standard 'mushrooms with mushrooms' that veggies usually get fobbed off with! We had a starter of Chipa Correntino - cheese rolls made with cassava flour with a Stilton sauce. Oh my! They were absolutely delicious - not too heavy for a starter and the Stilton sauce was delicate and not too over powering. Perfect for sharing. For the main I was going to go for a burger or a steak roll, but Scott liked the look of the Argentine meat experience to share, which was a selection of prime Argentine steak cuts: Cuadril-(Rump), Bife de chorizo (Sirloin), Ojo de bife (Rib Eye) and Lomo (fillet) with a side of rice. Our waiter recommended that we ordered the trio of sauces (Chimchurri, Provenzal and Criolla) to accompany the steak at a further £5. I'm going to be honest here and say my eyes LIT UP when the food came over. Even more so when I finally tucked in! Our waiter recommended that we eat the fillet steak first as it was the highest quality steak and best eaten hot. I am partial to a fillet steak every now and again but this one was melt in the mouth. I didn't it to end! All of the steaks were fantastic and the chimchurri sauce complemented the steaks perfectly. I absolutely would not hesitate to eat here again - and seeing as I live a 2 minute walk away I will 100% be back!

Honestly, I thought it would just sell fajitas and tacos and stuff. I was well up for some of that. So we decided to go in. Then as we entered, the waiters and waitresses looked beautiful and the subtlety of the lighting suggested, "This is going to cost you". In my head I sighed. I was right, it did end up costing me. But... it was well worth the money. Sophie and I shared an Argentine Meat Platter, with rice and some a selection of sauces (Chimchurri, Provenzal and Criolla). The meat platter consists of four different types of steak, rump, rib eye, sirloin and fillet. I couldn't tell you what was in the sauces, but I can tell you that every single one complimented the meat. One was meaty, one was salsa-ry and the other was oily. We ate everything. I have never eaten better steak. I want to go back. I now have two new favorite places to eat that are only a few doors away from eachother.
