Don't know if I've ever left a Yelp review before...but this calls for it. This place is great…read more Been here twice now to replace my passenger side, front window glass. (Can Norfolk thieves pls give me a break. Didn't even have anything to take.) First visit here was back in December 2022, someone smashed my glass around Christmas & this place was able to replace it within two days! There was still some glass left in the door, but I didn't mind all that much, just wanted it fixed. Receptionists are always beyond helpful & pleasant. Decent price, compared to Safelite. Had the glass repaired today, Steve drove out to me to replace, which I don't think they consistently offer, probably depends on staffing. Steve has such a heart of gold. Such a sweet guy, made sure to vacuum up every last bit of glass, even in the cup holders & air vents. (No more rattling when I shut the door lol.) Doing all that work, in the sun no less, & with a good attitude the whole time. Whatever y'all paying Steve ain't enough, give this man a raise

In April, Portsmouth Glass did a wonderful job replacing my cracked windshield. In June I had them…read moreat my home to replace a double pane window that had leaked and fogged. They had contacted me earlier in the day to let me know about what time they would be here; then called again to let me know when they were on the way. They showed up as scheduled and proceeded to lay down tarp to protect my floor. They completed the job efficiently and left no mess. I am so pleased I can once again see out my picture window. I have had a delightful experience with the in-shop young lady as well. I will be a return customer if I ever need glass repair again. Oh, and by the way, Portsmouth Glass charged a very reasonable amount compared to another provider I had contacted who couldn't bother to come look at the window and do measurements, yet emailed a ridiculous cost for the job. The other provider clearly did not want my business. I'm very happy with Portsmouth Glass!

Absolutely the worst windshield store in the local Chesapeake area. On TWO different vehicles (2-3…read moremonths apart) that i unfortunately had to have windshields completely replaced, this subpar establishment completely waisted my time with 4 pointless appointments. I booked 4 different appointments (2) mobile to be done in my driveway and (2) in shop and all of them resulted in them no being able to complete the replacement because "their manager" didn't conduct the correct inventory resulting in them not having my windshield!!! I took (3) different days off from work to have this done and not even an apology was given, simply let use reschedule you... The last two appointments I even doubled checked to ensure they had my specific windshield and the manager responded "Yes sir, we book appointment with the VIN so we have your windshield on site".... Save your time and simply book at ANY other windshield shop not named Safelite because they will waste your time 100%. To top it off, when I picked up my vehicle today (June 12, 2026) they left my vehicle unlocked! Like this place can't get any less professional. Be smarter than me and go elsewhere. I used my progressive insurance which they recommend Safelite but you can pick your own windshield place so I HIGHLY recommended you avoid safelite.

I'm not happy with this Safelite location…read more Through my insurance, I was scheduled to take my car in for window replacement on Saturday, 4/4/26. I dropped off my ride and my keys at roughly 8:30a with the guarantee and expectation that this service would be completed by 5:00p. The tech who worked on my car, Benjamin, called me around 3:30p to confirm that my car would be ready. In turn, I made arrangements to be dropped off at the Safelite Greenbrier location to await completion and then drive home. I arrived a little past 4:30p. I checked in with the lady at the front desk and waited in the lobby. I waited past their posted closing time (5:00p) and didn't hear anything until Benjamin came to get me just before 6:00p. He gave me my keys, and while we were walking to my car he quietly said, "I have some bad news." Of course, a window switch broke while he was working on my car and he wasn't able to immediately repair it or replace it. I waited roughly 90 minutes on site, when I could've been at home, to receive a broken promise. Service wasn't completed as guaranteed and I lost personal time in their lobby awaiting an incomplete job. Benjamin stated he/they would have the replacement part sent in (he quoted a turnaround time of 3-4 days, then they will install that part free of charge (an appointment wouldn't be scheduled until the part arrived). That means I have to take more time out to either bring my car back in, or Safelite can come to me (this option wasn't available when the part finally arrived). Either way, I'm still driving around (with basically a hole in my car) for longer than I planned. To add insult to injury, I received a text on Monday (4/6/26) morning stating the service was completed. Since I was already leaving for work, I immediately drove to the Safelite Greenbrier to follow up & confirm they are actively working to resolve the matter. I spoke with a manager, Lucas, who assured me they will order the part & get me scheduled as soon as possible. He provided me his personal cell phone number in case I have further questions/issues. So this is a mess. Safelite, after nearly 2 weeks (and multiple visits to Safelite Greenbrier to follow up), finally finished servicing my car on Friday, 4/17. I'll give them points for knocking this second service out (I dropped off the whip at 7:30a, they were done by 9:00a), but I was essentially left with a hole in my car for nearly a half-month; the hole just taunting someone to break-in again. What's worse, I didn't actually receive an apology from Safelite Greenbrier. Apologies were given to me via Safelite's customer service line (and my insurer), but that's only because I called to complain. I shouldn't have to chase businesses to obtain status updates for an issue that was created via the business (Safelite Greenbrier admittedly stated they were at fault). For 2 weeks, I visited them, called Safelite corporate, and called my insurer just to stay in the loop and hopefully expedite this process. Instead, I felt ignored and placed at the back of the line. Hopefully my car won't suffer another shattered window so that I won't have to opt for Safelite in Greenbrier. Since my insurance works directly with them, in the future I'll use another location, despite the Safelite Greenbrier's close proximity to my office. JV
