This place is great! I called and was able to be seen same day with very quick service. They took care of a few problems that I had put off for a while. They fixed my bumper, my brakes, installed a part that I had bought previously, and I got an inspection. They really do it all! Plus, the staff is super friendly and helpful. The waiting area is comfortable and clean; they have hand sanitizer, cleaning wipes, and even masks out and available for anyone to use during the COVID-19 pandemic. read more

First, let me say God is good and Jesus is Lord! I want to thank everyone here for taking very good care of my truck while undergoing repairs recently. My insurance company recommended this facility and from the first phone call, and text message, I was treated as a valued customer. The estimator took pics, gave me some very good advice for the rental process and told me the repairs wouldn't take more than a week if not the following Mon. These folks are super nice, office is very clean, CDC compliant, just a great atmosphere all the way around. Well that was July 6th. On July 8th, I get a call that my vehicle was ready. Wow, I was very surprised considering this was 4 something in the afternoon and the place closes at 5:30. Anyway, I turned in the rental, got a ride to Bay and the first thing I see is my truck sitting near the entrance gate. When I walked over to it I noticed how clean it was. I know I left it dirty in hopes of cleaning it myself once repairs were completed. Well they beat me to it. My vehicle had a dealership shine and look. I looked over the repaired areas and all I could see what looked like a brand new truck. Bay did an excellent job and I couldn't be more pleased. I would recommend them. They are wonderful! I was visiting my Navy daughter and a lady backed into my car at the car wash. I needed to drive back home to Ohio before repairs could be made. They had done great work for my daughter and her boyfriend. They worked me in first thing in the morning and strengthened the broken bumper so I could make the drive without charge. The staff is friendly. The service is very good, with one exception: these guys are slooowww. Took 2 hours to do a state inspection. My car has 7000 miles on it, and was bought / inspected at this exact location. What could have taken so long? This is the second time I have brought my car here for service, and this is the second time it's taken a long while to get it back. The service ended up being free because I bought the vehicle at this location. One more thing, in the hopes that a mechanic somewhere is reading this....customers absolutely HATE when you adjust their seat and mirrors! Thanks! Overall, the service is good. Something changed at Bay Automotive. It is not the company we knew since 2006. The trouble started with lack of communication, leaving me unable to learn the status of my repairs. Call after call, no one answered. Trying every option, I talked to everyone there, except the person I needed. After four business days wondering, someone new called us. Upon arrival I learned the principal repair was not done. Adding insult to injury, my car was parked in a far corner and covered--covered--in brown and while bird droppings. In 2001 I ordered a 2002 Chevy Tracker through Military Overseas Car sales and had the vehicle shipped to Bay Chevy. In mid 2002 when I transfered back to the states I went to Bay to pick up my vehicle. The service was great. All the way around I had a good experience. Since then I have been going to Bay for misc. things. When I had someone hit my car I brought it to the body shop and also had a very good experience. Due to this my wife also had her car fixed at the body shop. We have also had many things done through the service center and once again, always a good experience. I will be looking for a vehicle here in the near future and this is the first place I will go look. I am giving this 3 stars because it is a car dealership... I am beyond impressed with Bay Automotive. My car was hit the night before Thanksgiving and the guy who hit me refused to call his insurance company so I had to put the claim in through my insurance company. I just moved to Norfolk a few months ago and started a new job, so I didn't want to have to take time off work to deal with the repairs. Bay Automotive arranged for my car to be towed to their shop while I was at work and emailed me the paperwork so I didn't have to take time off to come into the shop. They updated me on the process throughout the week my car was being repaired. I just picked up my Jetta yesterday and she looks PERFECT. The staff was very friendly and made this process very easy. (Thank goodness for them, because dealing with both insurance companies was a nightmare.) Thank you Bay Automotive! My Jetta looks as good as new :) read more

Cannot speak on the service level of the dealership as I have only used their Body shop. My experience was awful. 2 weeks to replace a hood and repair damage to a strut. Was notified on a Friday that my car would be ready to pick up on the following Monday. I requested that they not wait till 4pm to notify me it was ready to pick up as I work In Hampton and it would take me some time to get back to Norfolk and turn in my rental and get there before they close. So 4pm Monday rolls around and still no word from Bay Collision. I decide to call them and see what's going on. I am told your car just went to get cleaned up and will be ready to pick up today. So I leave to return the rental and get over to Bay to pick up my car. They LOST the keys. Now this wouldn't be an issue if I had more than 1 set of keys for the car but I do not. Was told we will have your keys remade and you can pick up your car on Tuesday. Well today is Tuesday and still no car. Bay Collision has cost me money from time out of work. I will never return to them for any reason. I will even take their warranty work to another shop and have them billed for it. If it were possible to give them negative stars I would. read more

I got my Jeep worked on here and in retrospect I wish that I took it to another place but ultimately at the end of the day they did a great job on my car and technically it was better than it was before i got into a accident. They are shorthanded by their own admission, and that means that they take longer than they should. They also had a lot of excuses when things came up which in my mind is not acceptable. The customer service was average and at the end of the day i was able to negotiate what i paid which was good. read more

Purchased my vehicle here back in 2012 and I've been to this establishment a couple of times and I've always been pleased. The staff welcomes you with a smile and asks what they can do for you as soon as you step into the office. I've had oil changes, collision service and state inspections done and I really have nothing to complain about. On my most recent trip, today (12/7/16) I brought my car in, battery was replaced and it was done fairly quick. I will definitely keep coming back. read more

In there this evening and test drove 2 vehicles. When I got home and looked at their website both were listed at MUCH lower prices than I was told standing on the lot. One vehicle was listed over 2 grand less than what they said and the other was another grand difference. I was there to buy 2 cars so they were really trying to get 3 grand more out of me!!! The lady kept texting me days/ weeks later after I asked her not to. They even tried to guilt trip me into buying there dumb car. They go on Craigslist and contact all owners that have cars for sale, ask for vin nr , then they tell you to take the car to them because they have a customer that wants to buy your car (???How come people can tell them they want my car if its mine and not the dealerships???) and then ether they give you a shitty price or they make you buy a car from them!!! To whom it may concern I am in the ARMY and I hope no one in the military goes to Bay Kia and someone can get them black listed for what they did. Bay Kia called me and told me that I was approved for a loan and that they will pick me up to buy the car. I said to the internet sales lady that I dont have a car and no way to get back home. She told me that its ok and came and picked me up in newport news and also reminded me they were having a deal where if you test drove a car you get 50 dollars. That never happened furthermore because I didnt buy a car they left me stranded there until 1045 at night when my platoon sgt had to pick me up. They told me no one lives in newport news so they couldnt give me a ride home. After totaling my 2003 accent due to ice and having to find a car with a budget I found a 2014 Ford Focus with 18000 miles on it for $10995 at bay automotive, took it for a test drive and fell in love with it. After filling out all the paperwork, looking at the Carfax and applying for a loan they let me drive off with the car the next day to let me take it to a mechanic. After driving the car for about 20 minutes I noticed a shutter every time I took a complete stop and accelerated. The mechanic informed me that it was possibly the spark plugs or the fuel injection system and for a car that low of mileage it shouldn't be having those problems. The car was showing no codes of any problems so for them to just get the parts it would be over $500. When I went back to the dealer and we told them we would not take the car and what happened, the manager didn't even come talk to us they asked me for my card to put the deposit back, with no apologies or explanation or anything. I believe they knew of the issue beforehand and tried to sell me this car with issues. read more
