They close the store anytime they want . The website says closes at 3 pm , bunch of people came like us at 2:45 on Friday before Shabbos, they turned us away - security guy said we are closed ! They can ruin your Shabbos plans ! Very unreliable!

Their rice, fries and chicken are excellent. They have a large selection of products from Israel. My Osem vanilla wafers were very good. This is one of the larger Kosher groceries in the area. The main negative here are the prices are much higher for some items like the kettle chips costing me $4 that goes for half that at nearby Ralph's. Overall, this is one of the better kosher groceries in the area.

Good prices and they seem to have everything kosher you can find elsewhere. The deli is pretty good, I like the chicken poppers.

I am not a sandwich fan and never find myself ever craving a sandwich but Langer's is the one place that has changed that for me. Their pastrami sandwich is absolutely perfect. The ratio of pastrami to coleslaw and their sauce is absolutely perfect. The flavor of each component perfectly balances each other out like the slight sweetness from the coleslaw contrasting against the salty and savory tender pastrami that melts in your mouth. Each bite is perfection. They work extremely fast to get you seated and get your food out to you. They are well coordinated and communicate well to serve their customers with efficiency. They even have a parking lot down the street designated for Langer's customers where you get a ticket and then get it validated inside for free parking. This is absolute amazing because parking is hassle free and you can just walk over.

The chili cheese fries were also yum but the sandwich was definitely the star of the show! The pastrami sandwich is super filling and I barely finished half of it. After all these years, Mike's Deli is still one of my favorite places for an amazing sandwich. If you're looking for one of the best deli sandwiches in Los Angeles, this is the place to go. Brent's Deli is an institution in the San Fernando Valley, and it may just be its best. One thing…read morefor sure, the portions are generally humongous so you will never leave hungry. Nothing succeeds like excess. In fact, most people will need a take out box for one less meal to cook. Delicatessen means delicate eating in German, but at a Jewish American Delicatessen, the emphasis is on the Eating, which I am not complaining. 1) I requested an off menu item of having a Reuben sandwich where half is Corned Beef and the other Pastrami. Brent's Reuben has warm Sauerkraut, grilled Rye bread, melted Swiss Cheese, 1,000 Island dressing. Thinly sliced, multi-layered Mound of Pastrami is a bit on the dry side. Curing doesn't create a deep meaty Umami and spicing is present but attenuated. The Corned Beef is moister with bit more Umami & plush, thin multi-layered red colored meat. I have to say the Pastrami at Langer's is cured more intensely to bring out a deep Umami as well as more complex and complementary spicing of especially warm spiced cloves that adds aromatic richness. Brent's Pastrami doesn't seem to reach that kind of apotheosis. 1b) I asked for the steak fries to be fried two minutes longer for a crisper finish which was honored. Not much in way of that distinctive potato earthiness, but acceptable. 1c) Coleslaw is mayonnaise based, watery, bland, but a good cruciferous, fibrous veggie to add more fibre, healthful phytochemicals to counter the meat overload even though it isn't flavourful 2) Carrot Cake is closer to a delicate, dense, moist spice cake. A slice is enormous since it is cut from an extra tall cake studded with crushed walnuts and a cream cheese like not too sweet frosting. At $14 it could feed 4 people. Service is fine. They take your order and run with it. Bit of tunnel vision where it may be a bit hard to flag them down. But the job does get done. Overall 3+ stars

This…read moreiconic spot has been serving customers since 1908 and is famous for its legendary French dip sandwiches--and after my visit, I can absolutely see why. I ordered the pastrami sandwich, and wow... it was honestly one of the best pastrami sandwiches I've ever had. The meat was tender, flavorful, and perfectly piled onto fresh bread. Every bite was worth it! The pastrami was incredible, and now I definitely have to come back and try the famous French dip. Even with how busy it was, the line moved quickly and the staff kept everything running efficiently. Ordering was fast and easy. This place is full of history and charm. I loved the vintage telephone booths, the old-school photo booth, and even the little candy area--it all adds to the nostalgic experience. There are plenty of tables, so despite the crowds, it's easy to find a place to sit and enjoy your meal. Whether you're a local or just visiting L.A., Philippe's is a must-try. Great food, quick service, and a timeless atmosphere make it easy to understand why this place has been a favorite for over a century.

Philippe the Original has been doing things the right way…read morefor generations, and my latest visit reminded me why it remains one of my favorite places in Los Angeles. I stopped in just before the lunch rush--a good strategy, especially on a Dodgers game day--and everything clicked from the moment I walked in. The first thing that caught my eye was Elizabeth carving lamb right off the bone and building my French Dip sandwich in front of me. That's not theater; that's the way they've done it for years, and I loved every minute of it. The lamb dip was outstanding, just as I remembered. Add a crisp pickle, a side of coleslaw, and a Miller Genuine Draft, and you've got a lunch that doesn't need any fancy introductions. The sawdust on the floor may be gone, but the personality certainly isn't. Philippe's still feels like old Los Angeles. People share tables, strike up conversations, and enjoy a meal without anyone rushing them out the door. Then there's something you almost never find downtown anymore--free parking. That's worth mentioning all by itself. Could I explain why I'm giving Philippe's five stars? I suppose I could. But when you have friendly people like Elizabeth, a fresh lamb dip made right in front of you, reasonable prices, free parking, and more than a century of Los Angeles history, what more could you ask for? You may have seen this review, or a version of it, in one of the local publications I write for. I always pay for my own meals, and my opinions are my own.

If you're visiting the area, I highly recommend making a stop here. My biggest piece of advice is to go early because it gets incredibly busy by lunchtime--and for good reason! Keep in mind they are closed on Monday and Tuesday. While you can order online, I'll always choose to go inside so I can browse everything they have to offer. Their selection of fresh pasta salads is fantastic, and the desserts are always tempting. Whether you're craving lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs, a chicken Parmesan sandwich, or one of their many other Italian specialties, you really can't go wrong. Be sure to check out the wine section in the back left of the market. It's extensive and absolutely incredible! This is the kind of place that keeps people coming back year after year, and it's easy to see why. Being Italian American and growing up with an Italian mother who loved feeding everyone, this was one of our favorite places to visit together. Those memories make every trip here even more special. My personal favorite is the Godmother sandwich--hands down one of the best you'll ever have. It's packed with flavor, made with quality ingredients, and it's the sandwich I find myself craving every time I come back. One of the things I love most about this place is the atmosphere. It has an energy that immediately makes you think of family. Everyone is genuinely kind, welcoming, and happy to help, making you feel right at home the moment you walk through the door. It has that warm, old-school Italian family vibe that's becoming harder and harder to find, and it's a big part of what makes this place so special.
