Given this place so many tries. They got the order wrong and missed at least $6 worth (forgot to double the protein in each bowl - and if that was double the protein then their portions got even worse!), but don't feel like complaining. It's never bad, but it's also never good. The sauce is sometimes watery and flavorless. And the portions are ridiculously small for the price and absolutely never filling. The salad is always soggy. And the drivers are rude. So disappointed. We really wanted to like it, but we just can't give this place any more business. I wanted to try a crab fried rice dish they were promoting, but the cashier informed me it was a side dish, not an entree. Not really feeling the rest of the menu, I asked if it could be done as an entree and the cashier said that'd be a five dollar upcharge. Works for me, or so I thought... He then asked me what I'd like for my main and I asked why it couldn't just be more of the crab I asked for. He said the crab fried rice could only be a side dish. The staff seemed surly and uninterested in what I actually wanted, so I said pork main and paid my bill, figuring that at least I'd get to try two things instead of just the one I wanted. When I finally dug into the food, there was a small portion of mediocre, dry-ish pork over white rice, lots of vaguely wilted salad and no trace of crab meat or fried rice. Great food. Celiac safe. Imagine classed-up "Chipotle-style" Japanese food. You build your own bowl with meats, rice, vegetables, sauce, and it's prepared in 2-3 minutes. $10-15 for a bowl. It's always delicious. I recommend the steak bowl! I have celiac disease, and have never felt poorly after eating their gluten free options. I used to go to one of their earlier locations when I lived out in SF and was so happy to see them expanding on the East Coast. The design of this location is thoughtful and elegant, especially for the price point. Unfortunately, the 3 stars is because the food has been inconsistent during 4 separate visits. When the place first opened, the cooks were efficient and got the orders out on time. Great experience. The last few times I've visited though, I've noticed the cooks were different and they had trouble keeping track of orders and seemed confused during non-rush time. Also, I saw the staff pull out the dumplings from that brand that you can buy from grocery stores. The main mishap though is, ironically, with their glaze. I don't know if they're using too much thickening agent, or if they're reducing the teriyaki sauce too much with the heat, but it's sweet and syrupy. I wanted to like Glaze and I can tell they put effort into setting up a nice shop, but I think they need cooks with more experience. read more

When I called the restaurant to ask for help to resolve the situation Aaron said he can't help me and that he will "text his boss but he probably won't respond until later tonight" how is this the staff that you trained for your place? & for this guy to be titled a supervisor. Horrible customer service! I ordered from this place because it was the shortest estimated delivery time. I get a text from the restaurant saying 'food not started and delivery delayed' I told them to cancel the order as I didn't want to eat at midnight. The food still showed up after I had already order from somewhere else and eaten. Then the restaurant told me it was the delivery man that text and they didn't have authority to cancel the order. Glaze Teriyaki came to the neighborhood just in time!!! The food is so fresh and there are many Gluten Free options available. Every time I order my food comes fast and delivery people are very professional. I recently placed an order thru Seamless for delivery and mistakenly paid the delivery person CASH for the full order. The issue was rectified within 24 hours. Michael the Manager arraigned for my cash to be returned to me promptly!!!! He was nice enough to deliver a salad with the payment as well. I was born and raised in Seattle and this is not even close to "Seattle-style teriyaki." The chicken is undercooked and they pour an overwhelming amount of sauce (which is lacking in taste) to over compensate for its sub-par quality.
