I used to swing by this place almost every morning when I worked in the area. Now it's a bit of a drive for me but I'll still make the trip on occasion just because their stuff is so good. We showed up a bit early, about maybe an hour after opening on a Sunday, and when we arrived there wasn't a lot to choose from. Most of the items on the menu just weren't available. The buttermilk donuts were delicious - awesome taste and texture. The fruit kolaches however I was really disappointed in, they were bone dry and had a smaller amount of fruit filling than I'm used to. Not a good ratio of jam to bread. Also... not sure why ours were so dry, since a lot of other reviews seem to rave about them. The price was a bit steep for something that felt almost stale. I don't think I'll be returning for kolaches - maybe for donuts though. Really though, it's expensive compared to places that have way better kolaches (and donuts), and I sadly wouldn't suggest this place if Kolaches are what you're hankering for. I kind of regret us coming here for breakfast, since we did go here for the kolaches. read more

I got their kolaches for my in law's breakfast when they were in town. They have various flavors and their prices are reasonable. And their kolaches are not too sweet as typical American bakery though. But make sure after u have a cup of hot coffee or tea to go with it. I occasionally come here but not too often. An excellent introduction to Kolache. This was our first time trying them, so I may not have a point of reference, but I do know delicious food and these hit all the marks. The Kolache was fresh, the bun firm without being chewy and the filling, we had bbq beef and philly steak, was very flavorful. And just as good as the food - the owner has a warm face and inviting personality. He gave us the history and evolution of Kolache, explaining why it looks the way it does today.
