We worked with the personnel at Sparr and moved mountains for her to be discharged to assisted living. She ended up in memory care and the staff was fantastic. Whatever one's quirks and needs, they are addressed both lovingly and respectfully. They never miss an opportunity to ask after residents' well being and take the time not just to administer individual care but to talk to the residents as if they matter to them. Contact the facility, by phone call or visit the website and setup an appointment for visit. 2. After visiting the area, admire not only the how large the facility is, but notice how things are arranged. Or that someone is always around to help. You can see what your family member, friend or acquaintance will do once they're inside. . 3. Relax and know that when they enter, will receive excellent care. With activities that help maintain or improve mental & physical health. Which will not only give you peace of mind, but improve their overall quality of life. My mother has Alzheimer's and this place is a safe environment for her and I don't worry about her wondering off due to her having a wrist band that sets off an alarm anytime she gets close to the door and alerts staff! However when you are providing medical care of any level, and are providing customer service based attention, you really ought to make sure your frontline, front office team is exceptional. Never in my entire life have I been so disrespected, dismissed, and treated less than, than being in that building. I had had a few questions regarding my dad's care. There are many siblings, I had a few concerns on visitations. More specifically what had happened was that my brother has texted saying he visited my dad. I had asked him how since we hadn't set up a "visitation list" or had never confirmed with anyone that anyone could see my dad. I also wanted to inquire on how to pay my dad rent -- as there was never a conversation had, and a failure to disclose such information. Nope! He walked right in, didn't even get questioned or stopped to sign in, just walked right in and visited my dad. How inappropriate, I know, so when I went to Cécilia the ugly inside and out front desk lady to ask about how this was allowed I was met with yelling, a nasty attitude, and a horrible experience where I was then ganged up on by her and Ana, a barely English speaking nurse who were both at that point berating and belittling me. Mind you, they are the ones in charge of care. They said the reason for them treating me this was as because lack of payment. They then labeled me, a 25 yr old Hispanic man as violent, aggressive, and rude -- in this political climate. How tone deaf. My dad on the other hand is having a blast. He's being treated well and I ended up just giving him a phone so he can report to me directly while he's still cognitive but after that I'm not too sure what my options are. Long story short, great overall care. Horrible front office and leading/managerial staff. They aren't trust worthy and are unfortunately just there for the check. P.s don't even try to get into contact with them. Carlos and Tony? Terry? Have never gotten back to a single email that my sister and I have sent them -- we have receipts!

My grandmother has stayed here and recently passed away. While collecting her stuff we asked the…read morestaff if they still had a statue of hers (which was previously in her room). We saw the staff member go back to "check" and claim they didn't have it. Months passed and we called again to check and they somehow found it shattered in pieces. We were not provided an explanation of how it became shattered and the most disgusting part of this situation is that the statue was left with her hands holding up her middle fingers (and the rest of her fingers removed). Based on how the statue is designed, it would be impossible for this to be an accident from the shattering. This deliberate action is so slimy and left a bad place in our hearts.

They regularly have semis idling right outside mine and my neighbor's houses for hours per week. I asked them to have the trucks shut down due to my severe asthma. This was ignored. Any potential residents should understand that there is a ton of noise/back up beeps, idling trucks every day, all before 7am. To sum up, this company doesn't care about their neighbors and I'm concerned about how they may treat their residents.

The only negative about living there for them seems to be the very limited washing and drying machines - only one per floor! So my friend has to plan a 4am trip during the week and avoid more crowded hours. That's way too few washers, and one was recently not working so the entire floor had to use another floor's machine. I think there is room for at least a second machine. If this could be changed, a 5 star would be appropriate from listening to them.

It wouldn't read my husband's temp and it flagged me at 97.7°. The front desk staff just waved us through. Turned out I wasn't even signed in. I didn't get a visitors badge. And when i tried to sign out at the end of the day, it didn't recognize me. The PALS on the second floor were friendly but seemed a bit intrusive. In the few hours we were there, they peeked in the room multiple times, mostly without knocking. My in laws are a bit annoyed at this and I'm not sure if this is part of the care we pay for or what, but i think in the next few weeks we are going to need to make some adjustments so their privacy is better acknowledged. Little bit annoyed that my MiL was scheduled for hair and nail appt but nobody came to get her or even let her know when her appt was, so she ended up not being dolled up for Christmas dinner. We had Christmas dinner with the parentals and the special for the night was a Reuben sandwich. Not very festive. The staff said they offered a holiday brunch... but we were there for dinner. I ordered the Reuben which was good. Mushroom soup lacked flavor. Caesar salad was good. My husband had the filet, which he enjoyed.. but the baked potato was tiny and sad. For a luxury senior home, I think the restaurant needs to step up its game! BIG TIME! And we spoke with a resident of 4 years who mentioned they stored serving wine at lunch because they were having issues. So they only serve wine with dinner. I guess you can have your own wine in your room, but seems like these are all seniors who can make up their own mind about their alcohol consumption and if there's a problem with a specific resident, that can be addressed on a case by case basis. Punishing a whole community seems overkill. Anyway.. will update in a few weeks and see if we can get some changes made so that the parentals are happy about their new place.
