From the moment i walk in the front desk staff was disorganized and inattentive.I had scheduled my appointment weeks in advance for cleaning but dental assistant seemed rushed and barely communicate what was going on and forgot to provide cleaning service. to make matters worse they overcharge me for service and billing department was dismissive and borderline rude and unprofessional. Omg this place is a mess! I should have read the reviews even before stepping in! The girl up front who can barely speak English has a horrible attitude! I literally walked out saying I don't want your services!! Hi Chris! You're definitely not sorry! Seems like you need to look into Delta Dental. Those of us who have it specifically PPO, actually have 2 cleanings covered by insurance per year! So the $15 your staff wanted to charge me was no big deal! And just to clarify I knew this prior to coming in as it was already mentioned to me over the phone by another one of your staff members. So that's def not what bothered me. But what really did bother me was the customer service displayed by your employee. I didn't get her name hence why I identified her the way I did so you know who I was speaking of AND obviously you did. So question....it's the law to collect money from an insurance patient that gets 2 free cleanings per year? That's pretty funny if you ask me. Also, before you assume I'm an immigrant you should get your facts straight! And it's clear that I'm not the only person dissatisfied with this place! Clearly your staff learns from YOU cause ur response is just as unprofessional as they are! Also, per my convo on the phone with the lady who initially gave me the appt... I specifically stated I wanted a cleaning only. It was mentioned that I did not need any x-rays but obviously you make money off of x-rays so you would push that on a patient! You should educate your staff on how insurances work so their lack of knowledge does not make patients run away!! P.S. It amazes me how you have all these invalid statements when you weren't even present and have no idea about what really took place. If you were truly sorry and professional you'd try to see why a patient left your facility upset as opposed to making bullshit statements! Instead of taking so much time on your reply, you should go retrain your staff on professionalism, customer service and how insurances work. They should not have 3 stars most likely due to the fact they have staff fake reviews. It's insane how horrible this office was I did not finish treatment with them and left. Overall experience is horrible. Especially the front desk receptionist, she is extremely rude and will often decline or put your call on hold for a very long time. Seeing this office had a specialist I needed I ignored the reviews and chose to give them a try but my experience was HORRIBLE. I have never been to such an unprofessional and disorganized office. There is absolutely no way that I can say anything good about David Saryan, DDS in Tujunga. I found them by getting a list from my health insurance provider and from the photos, they looked great. I called and made an appointment and when I arrived, I was told that a different doctor would be doing my intake. She was personable and introduced me to the x-ray technician, a short girl that could barely reach over the exam table. I really think that she couldn't see where she was sticking the mouth piece, and I suffered for about 15 minutes as she pushed, wedged and re-located the mouthpiece to the poit that my gums started bleeding. It hurt so much that I asked if she spoke Farsi because she sure didn't understand English. She said yes and I told her in Farsi that SHE WAS HURTING ME! Finally the ordeal was over and the woman doctor came in and said that "they were going to call my health care provider and would let me know when my next appointment would be. that it might take 2-3 weeks. It is now 6 weeks and I've heard nothing. They let me leave the intake exam with two broken teeth, no antiseptic, no numbing agent, just a bloody mouth and extreme pain when I tried to eat. I called my health care provider (Optum) to find out WHY I wasn't getting an appointment, they said "No one ever called from Dr. Saryan's office and that they'd call him themselves." RUN, don't walk away from this doctor - They have no idea of the pain they cause. read more

They should be able to text Appt times and dentist should use clear examples whenever they will approach to a certain procedure. I just received a call to "remind" me that my appointment tomorrow is at 11 AM. The only problem is that I booked it via ZocDoc, which sent me a confirmation that my appointment is at 4:30--the time for which I booked it. The receptionist on the phone "explained" the system. Apparently I was supposed to give them a separate call, without being told this anywhere online. Also ... this still doesn't explain why they would have an erroneous appointment for a time that I didn't schedule. I made it very clear that I will be there at 4:30 and expect them to honor the appointment. That said, I'm very concerned about their lack of integrity and have reported them to ZocDoc. I'm definitely going to say no to anything but a basic cleaning and will be looking for an office that doesn't communicate this poorly. read more

Even beyond that, the receptionists and dental assistants are young and attractive with a sense of humor. Oh Boy! The saying "Nobody is Perfect" has been defeated by Saryan Dental. I came here as a victim of dental malpractice by another dentist nearby. I actually was refused help by a few other dentists while I was in pain / suffering and Saryan Dental came to the rescue. They took care of me with a free consultation and x-rays. They cooperated with the Dental Board. Nobody else would. Saryan Dental stands for customers. I had a risky tooth that was damaged close to the nerve. The tooth had already been filled improperly. I was told by other dentists it would need root canal. Saryan Dental investigated the risk and determined it could be filled. And it was filled perfectly. Routine pain was converted to complete painlessness the same day. The tooth is as good as new. I don't need a root canal. There are actually three Saryans. It should be called SaryanSaryanSaryan Dental. There is David, Khachatur, and the senior Saryan. The dentist that worked on me was Khachatur. Remember, dentists are not all the same. You can be hurt by a bad dentist. I would say "well worth it" to drive 100 miles out of your way for the peace of mind and let the Saryan Experts work on you. I am a real patient, not a solicitor of any kind. I brought my 96-year-old terminally ill aunt here yesterday. The treatment that she received not only from the doctor himself but from the entire staff, was so kind and caring that I cannot express my gratitude enough for everyone there. Even though they realized that she was not going to be a long-term patient and that they may never see her again, they treated her with royalty, kindness, and with so much patience, as if she were one of their family members. I can honestly say that they're not in this for the money. And that they truly care about the people they treat. I know I will be going to them for my dental needs and I would recommend everybody and anybody to do the same. If anyone at Saryan Dental is reading this, I would like to express, from the bottom of my heart to every single one of you, what a blessing all of you are! My aunt was not able to chew on anything because her gums had shrunk and her bottom dentures were loose. They made sure that her bottom dentures got filled and adjusted that very same day. Dr. Mikaelyan did my check up and treated a few dental issues I had. He had a gentle hand and did a great job. He answered all my questions and explained the procedure perfectly.
