Excellent local business. I had a water heater with intermittent problems. It was an older unit so parts would have to be ordered. Mike gave options of ordering parts to repair or replacing it since it was towards the end of its life expectancy. Ordered parts but while waiting for them to arrive, unit stopped a couple of times. Mike and Terri both came out to get it re-started while I was waiting for parts. Decided it would be prudent to just replace it. Mike came out and installed it in no time. We had a houseline blockage between the shower and bathtub at out home that we had called another plumber out for, however after being unable to unblock the line he called out his supervisor. The supervisor came to the conclusion that we had a broken pipe under the slab and that for between $4200 and $4500 they could solve the problem for us by tunneling under the slab to fix the broken pipe. We opted for a second opinion and called Glendora Plumbing. Terri and an associate responded and within a short period of time had cleared the blockage; a hairball in the line, no broken pipe; for which we will be eternally grateful. Great honest shop. I had Mike come over my house to do some work for me for an additional. I thought his prices were very reasonable. He had a great attitude, and explained what needed to be done and why it needed to get done. The work was done quickly and well, and passed the City inspection. Busted pipe in the hallway. Yikes!! I called Glendora plumbing and they arrived the next morning. It took Mike about 1.5hours to fix. I had to do some minor drywall repair but it was discussed before hand. It was an easy to do yourself wall patch. The leak was a mess. Terri did an awesome job fixing the problem. Our water heater gave out. I called Glendora Plumbing, they came and installed a new water heater the next day. Terri came out today to save us! Our bathtub leaked into our kitchen ceiling light and then leaked onto the kitchen floor. So gross! used them twice once for a clogged bathtub and once for a clogged toilet which my son dropped a toy in. Both times they were prompt with their response and on time. Terri was really good. I was referred to this company from American Leak detectors regarding an issue with my bathtub faucet not running water when turned on. A technician came promptly, looked at the faucet and said it was probably a problem within the fixture. She suggested that I call the company and order the part, as it would be cheaper and may be of better quality than what they could get for me, and then call them to come back and replace it. She said there would be no charge for the visit, call when I received the part. Today, two months later I get a bill for $150 for the visit. Is this standard procedure not to bill for the visit when you make the visit and then spring a bill on the customer later. If I had been given a bill back in September when she came I would have gladly paid it that day. I have no problem being charged for the house call, but be upfront and give me an invoice at the time of your visit not months later....Not happy with the companies business procedures!! read more

We had water leaking from under the toilet and we can usually do minor home repairs ourselves. When we took off the toilet, the flange under the whole thing had rusted and rotted out. We have travertine flooring around the whole thing and I imagined a major repair job to get this thing taken out and replaced. We always call Glendora Plumbing for things we are unable to do, and they have always been excellent. This time they sent out Teri and I wasn't disappointed. It's obvious from the get-go that she is experienced and knows EXACTLY what she is doing. She was fast and efficient and recommended a different flange replacement so there wouldn't be any future problems. Let me just say that I am the type of homeowner that is a pain, and I always request a company's "A" team when having work done in my home. I am very picky and constantly keep my eye on work getting done because you never know if people are competent until it's too late. I absolutely will be requesting Teri in the future, even if I have to wait a few extra days. There are fewer and fewer "experts" in any field these days, but she is for SURE one of them. This review is long overdue I meant to post this several months ago. I forgot the son's name but he was my plumber. He went above and beyond for our service with the water heater. The pilot light kept turning off, turns out the thermostat was burnt out. He spent 45 mins on the phone with the manufacturer to get the part covered under warranty. Unfortunately, for us the manufacturer turnaround time was months not weeks due to covid. He tried to replace it with a different thermostat unfortunately it still wouldn't work no fault of his, he was trying to save me money. He called the manufacturer back and convinced them to warranty the entire water heater which was a HUGE cost saver. My job was supposed to be a quick fix but for obvious reasons, it wasn't. He had to rush to another job which was fine with me, but promised to be back. He arrived back and followed me to home depot to pick up a new water heater, of course, HD tried to deny it so he stepped in handle the situation and off we were with a new tank. He stayed late into the dark installed everything working way past closing time. The fee was definitely reasonable for the effort he put in. I know many plumbers who would not have put in this much effort. I will never hesitate to call them back when needed. read more

$108 for 10 minutes of work? We weren't quoted an estimate for the "work" about to be done. If we had known the cost beforehand we would have NEVER authorized the "work" to be done. We installed a faucet, supply lines and angle valves ourselves and then for you to tighten cost us $108?!? Outrageous. You will NOT be hearing from us again. Shame. UPDATE: I spoke to the owner on the phone about my displeasure with the service we were provided. He told me he tells everyone on the phone that there is a $98 service fee just to come out and he lets everyone know this on the phone beforehand. I told him that I spoke to him on the phone and he never mentioned that fee. His response was that sometimes he forgets because he is very busy. Then he proceeded to tell me it was MY fault. He became very angry on the phone and began yelling at me. Every business I have ever dealt with gives a quote upfront. This is not a decently run business. AVOID. read more

It is expected, in my opinion, that it costs money just to get someone on site to do work, even if it is for just a few min. They have spent time just in transport as well as bringing the knowledge to fix the problem quickly. It is not "cheap" to get plumbing done right, but I have never felt like I was ridiculously overcharged or sold something I didn't need. I had a problem today that I expected would need to have half a tiled wall taken out to repair, and while it took nearly two hours, it did not require me to repair a bathroom wall. They charge $98 per hour, but they do work quickly and well. I am willing to pay for good work done by local people who care about their local reputation. read more
