I would stay far away from this practice! There are many other great Orthopedic surgeons in the County or elsewhere to go, to receive honest care! This practice states they will bill your insurance, (I have a PPO) but will NOT do it and will NOT provide billing codes so the patient can bill themselves. They had the nerve to tell me they collect up front due to patients "skipping out on the bill." OMG! What a thing to tell your patients! Well, now that I see how patients are treated and excessively billed, maybe why?! Not what I would do, skip out, but since I was charged $550 and the care was poor, I can understand their frustration. Btw, this is $550 is AFTER they tried to charge me over $1000! Not to mention, Dr. Cohen barely spends time with you. It is his "staff" and he comes in for a couple minutes! Wow! Not what he promotes on his website! Side note: After an MRI, he ordered, I received a call from 'Staff,' to make a follow up and it would be another $150 for my results! What?!, No thanks. I am a UCLA patient normally and when I get imaging, my Physicans will contact me with results. No extra charge after spending money on the imaging. What a joke! Candy, the so called Office Manager, had the nerve to come in my exam room to state, "We don't want you to leave unhappy, we will provide you the billing codes, ...blah blah blah," after they tried to charge me the over $1000 for an office visit. Also after adding to my total, WITHOUT my consent, 'their supplements' (NOONE - Doctor or Staff) EVER talked to me about these supplements - what they were, how much they cost, what supplements I am already on or medications), who does that?! THIS office!! And Norma, their Billing Manager, same story as Candy. "I will send you the billing codes." And all kinds of reasons for not sending. (Will spare you on these reasons.) Never did! Also won't return voicemails or email. I wish I would have seen the similar complaints like mine, in the reviews, one in particular was charged $900 plus, so I guess my $550. is better than that. They tried though with the over $1000 bill. Unbelievable! Once again, stay far away from this office if you don't want to feel worse than when you came in!! And not receive proper billing, hence SO MUCH wrong with this office and their billing practices. I am a big yelper, now I will never trust a Dr. who has all 5 stars. He threatened to sue me me if I didn't remove my 1 star . Why should I when it's the truth ! So what does that tell you about the 5 stars , there not all real, friends and family. Read them, people didn't have surgery like I did. After my 1 star went up , all the sudden there are 5 stars coming out of the woodwork. I could write a book on the stuff that happened to me before ,during and after my surgery. If you look up his therapist he uses and hospital , they all got 1 star. Plus, I had other people tell me he botched them too but they must not write reviews . Back 2 years ago , I cut a nerve in my right middle finger and I'm updating my review because its still not healed and I'm in so much pain still. From the beginning ,I was having problems after he did my surgery . It felt like I had sharp objects in my finger and I could not feel my palm. I went in for my follow-ups and he wanted nothing to do with me and said go get another opinion. After he got his $10k he was done with me. I should of went with my gut from the beginning, when he said let me use my ultrasound machine to see if the nerve is cut, then he said oh, I can't read this machine. Then, tried to charge me . He even left stitches in my finger and the therapist he uses never saw them. I left that therapy group and found my own. The guy found the stitches and was shocked. I have tried every alternative treatment to see if it will help, but unfortunately, I had an MRI to confirm I need another surgery. My new Dr. said there is no guarantee that it will be healed because the second time you have to go in and it creates new scar tissue. It really had to be done right the first time. Basically, I don't know what Dr Cohen did but my nerve never grew and its wrapped in scar tissue. So, It feels like I have sharp object stuck in my finger 24/7. Ya, I thought a paper cut hurt, until now. I asked another Dr. if I could just cut it off, but then I will look like I'm at a Rock Concert all the time. Plus, he said I will have Phantom Pain. I had an injury from a disagreement with a metal fence at the horse barn.Not only did Dr Cohen get me in for an emergency last minute appointment, but he also made sure that his associate followed up with me when he was out of town. He explained everything in detail, and made me feel very comfortable with what the decision was going forward to heel my hand, and recommended follow up PT. I feel that if I had not gone to him and chosen the ER, I would not have full use of my hand at this point. Dr. Cohen is awesome I have been there for two different things one was torn tendons with a pillow fight and the other one was a broken wrist due to a back walk over. He took me seriously and new that a cast was the way to go and a few months later I was back at gymnastics doing what I loved. The hand therapy place is great too the workers make a impression in your heart and you get sad when your done seeing them. It's been a while since I've seen Dr. Glenn Cohen but I have decided to write a review because what he did was unacceptable and people deserve to know. First off, he misdiagnosed me with carpal tunnel and recommended me a custom brace which sucks from him which cost like $900. He then tries to convince you to buy vitamins from him directly and he tells you to be careful with other vitamin brands because they can be "watered down" or weak. Do not listen to Dr. Cohen, just go on Amazon to buy the vitamins he recommends and read the reviews. Obviously if the vitamin brand is weak, they're not going to have good reviews, but DO NOT spend more money on the brand he attempts to sell you, as they're wildly over priced. Not to mention he recommended a vitamin regimen for someone with carpal tunnel, which I didn't have. I made a follow up appointment which was like $300 just for him to tell me that he won't remove a cyst I had on my hand that was making my wrist/hand pain worse, that I had to have a $600 nerve study done with a different doctor he referred me to. Dr. Cohen lied and told me that the nerve doctor could only do the study at Dr. Cohen's office when really the nerve doctor had his own office nearby and would've charged me less had I gone to his office. For this nerve study I had the appointment scheduled at Dr. Cohen's office and the nerve doctor didn't show up even tho I missed work for this and Dr. Cohen's office didn't even call me to let me know, I had to reschedule. I asked if I could go to the other nerve specialist doctors office directly and the ladies at the front desk lied and said I could not go to his office. When I had the nerve study done I asked the doctor if I could've gotten it done at his office and he said yes and for less money... I did the nerve study and it turns out I didn't have carpal tunnel at all. After this I asked the front desk if they could schedule me to just get the cyst removed on my hand as that was originally partly the reason I went to see Dr. Cohen it was for my hand / wrist pain, but also because of a cyst I had on my hand that I wanted removed as it was very painful, Dr. Cohen refused to remove my cyst when I initially went to visit but during my follow up he said he would remove the cyst after the nerve study was done. After my nerve study the lady at the desk said they couldn't just schedule me for the operation even though Dr. Cohen had already seen my cyst and agreed to remove it. I had to do another consult which would've cost $300 on top of the surgery cost which probably would've been thousands based on the cost of everything else... I left the office so distraught because I had spent around $2000 just for me to be missed diagnosed with carpal tunnel and to not have the cyst removed which was originally why I went in. I went to a different doctor after this horrible experience here and she agreed to remove my cyst even though it was super close to the end of the year and she was very busy and it only cost me around $800 for the consultation and operation. I do not recommend Dr. Cohen at all. He definitely just tries to get the most money that he can out of you and tries to sound convincing because he has all of these athletes that he's helped. Of course he's more helpful to the athletes and elite but for every day regular people he doesn't care about you at all, and just wants to make the most money off of you!!! read more

Dr. Cohen and his staff are amazing! My Canadian doctors and friends are incredibly impressed with the kind of care that I received at Dr. Cohen's office. I was visiting Los Angeles from Canada and I fractured two of my fingers. Dr. Cohen is actually the one who found the second fracture, when initial x-rays had look like it was just the one finger. His office manager, Stacy, was awesome at making sure that my insurance information was taken care of and I didn't have to worry about it at all during this whole ordeal. Even when I had pain in the middle of the night, Dr. Cohen answered and helped me through what to do next, and continued to help me as I transitioned my care back to Canada. The staff is very friendly and helpful and I got so many compliments on my casts done by Gabby. I could never thank everyone enough for making such an awful experience as breaking your finger into something a little easier to deal with. Could not recommend seeing Dr.Cohen enough. It's very unfortunate to write a review like this but I feel like it's necessary. Dr. Cohen's office staff is very rude and unhelpful. When calling there office early this morning to get help about canceling an appointment I made yesterday afternoon, I was put on hold for a long time for someone to come on and tell me they were not willing to accommodate. They told me that they would be offering the appointment to another patient but keeping my deposit. They were willing to lose a patient then work with me and told me the Dr. doesn't care about what time I was calling and that although they are able to fill the appointment time I couldn't cancel mine without losing my deposit, so I can come and spend and additional $300 for my appointment or lose my deposit. They stated this is their policy and cared more about making the extra money off my deposit than their patient. I'm disappointed that this is how an office would be run. read more

I was referred to Dr. Cohen from a coworker. I had severe arthritis in my left hand just below my thumb. I made an appointment and he suggested PT first to see if I responded to that. After 8 weeks of PT nothing was helping. Next step was a cortisone shot. Dr. Cohen is very personable with his clients and wanted to try everything possible before surgery. July 1st of 2019, I decided to get the surgery done and it was the best choice ever. I went to Dr Cohen on the recommendation of a good friend based on statements that he tries to solve most issues without surgery. I had a nagging injury that had been misdiagnosed by another doctor a month prior to seeking a specialist. He immediately identified the issue, showed me what happened and started me on a rehab plan. Just over two weeks into the plan and I have regained most of my mobility along with reducing the pain and swelling.
