Led by Lorenzo, the friendly and honest mechanics always listen carefully to my description of the issue at hand, use up-to-date diagnostic tools, and figure things out pretty quickly. They charge reasonable rates, never looking for an unnecessary upsell, and they get the work done fast. I've even had them diagnose things and send me away, saying it's a warranty issue that should be free at the dealer. My visit this week was for something silly: a noise being made by a broken "belly panel" underneath the car. A simple fix with no real mechanical components (a good thing), but Lorenzo felt bad because it was a dealer-only part that was pricier than it should have been. Not his fault, and I know they'll take care of me on another fix down the road when they have more control. That said, once the part was in, the car was fixed in about an hour. Good service. My wife and I were smelling burning and beginning to see some smoke from under the hood while literally in bumper-to-bumper traffic on the 101. Visiting family in SoCal, having driven from Arkansas. Lucky for us, the next exit was Reseda Blvd in Tarzana. Limped into Glenn's where Lorenzo immediately put us in a bay and started the diagnostics process. Had a locked brake caliper and boiling brake fluid damaging the brake lines. If this had happened the next day, we truly could have been on a mountain switchback in Sequoia. We had to wait a bit for a part, but Lorenzo and crew took great care of us, tested everything out, stayed late on a Friday to get us back on the road, and all at a reasonable price. Great customer service, fair prices. I really appreciate their honesty and integrity. Each time I buy a new vehicle I am constantly bringing it to the dealer for issues and that experience has taught me how valuable a great mechanic is. The dealer experience is I bring it in with 1 complaint and let them do the required service, pay 2-4x what I think the service is worth for the "convenience" of doing everything all at once, leave with my vehicle and have to bring it back to have them fix the 3 things that are newly wrong with my vehicle to have them say "none of that is related to what we did". I have never had any new issues after bringing my vehicle to Glenn's, they do what is supposed to be done, right and if there is anything else that is required/recommended I feel they respectfully suggest it with the appropriate urgency so I feel in control of my decision, never any buyers remorse here. 100/100. Cannot recommend enough! Lorenzo is kind, funny, honest, and knows what he is doing. At a separate mechanic, I was quoted $3500 yesterday to replace the rack and pinion on my car. This felt really high and I wanted a second opinion, so I called Lorenzo who in 30 seconds on the phone was diagnosing my car (he was right) and had me come in, as the previous mechanic's explanation didn't sit right with him either. Dropped off at 8:30am, got it back good as new at 5:00pm. Total price? $600. A staggering $2900 less than the first mechanic's price. Turns out I didn't need the whole rack and pinion assembly replaced, just the tie rod ends. Lorenzo figured this out immediately and got the necessary parts. So refreshing to have an honest and high quality mechanic with a great attitude. I will absolutely be coming here for any future car needs. Seriously, you don't have to look anywhere else. Nowadays it is so difficult to find an honest mechanic that doesn't rip you off or perform "Mickey mouse" jobs on your vehicle. I started coming here a few years ago and noticed that these mechanics actually care about their customers, but above all the work they perform on the vehicles is professional and great quality. Lorenzo is the manager here and he is honest and straightforward with you. He doesn't do things that aren't necessary to make the extra buck. He is honest and very knowledgeable when it comes to automotive repair. His assistant Pepe is extremely knowledgeable as well and great to work with. Together they're hands on and super friendly. Im so dissatisfied and very hurt to be honest. I trust Glen auto to work on my truck and it has not run right since I've got it home. I had them work on my 86 wagoner. They replaced some gas lines and I got a little suspension work which was fine. Then it came to the carburetor 1st he had my truck there for 3 days before telling me they couldn't work on the carburetor. Then they told me to get a new carburetor and they can install it. Apparently they did not know to properly do that either and the truck is a misfiring and won't even start in the mornings.. I took it back several times and he claimed to be working on it but it was just sitting in the same spot each time. I went back today to let him know I desperately need him to take care of the truck for me he informed me that he has a guy that works on carburetors and I can get it done at my cost. He told me that they don't do carburetors so they can't fix the issue, but why would they work on my carburetor if he new he couldn't do the job is my question. Now my truck is sitting getting tickets and windows being busted out because I can't move it. Glenn gladly took my money during the pandemic when I wasn't working he knew that's all I had to work on my truck to try to get it running and this is how he left me. read more

I purchased a salvage, that actually went really well and I got a great deal, amazing. However... My car was a mess after ANOTHER (not Glenn's guys) mechanic spent three months on it and took a body repair to a whole other level of messed up and disrepair. I took it into Glenn's and they are doing a great job, almost damn magical, of repairing a very botched passenger-side dent that spans almost the entire body. I have had the worst experience with a previous auto shop on a smog. They charged me parts, labor, smog and it still didn't pass. They said they will fix it. I had it smoged again and it still failed. I went back and demanded I get a refund on everything but the parts (Since they were in my vehicle). I got a full refund on everything reluctantly by the owner and I never looked back. The a different smog shop that I went to to try to get the smog to pass, recommended Glenn's because they were open still and they could look at it. So I did. He said leave it here for a few hours and well work on it. So I left and came back. Sure enough, it was a small hose that connects to the gas cap was cut. That's all that was wrong!! He said "I fixed it, and I got it smoged for you in the shop next door, no charge and it passed." OMG! He paid for my smog!! I didn't know what to say. On a different occasion: I purchased a new car and went to get a routine oil change at my local oil place. They discovered oil in the radiator and water in the engine block. They said it could be a small leak in the oil cooler or a head gasket change. I was like "Holy S$^t!" A head gasket change could cost up to $1000 bucks to tear into the engine, only to replace a $10 gasket. I was freakin out. I didn't have that kind of money to drop. I went to Glenn's and asked him what he would charge. He said, lets look at it first. He looked and said yeah, it could be one of those two things. He looked up my car to see if it had an oil cooler and it does. He said, "Put some head gasket sealer in the radiator and drive it around nice and good. It's not that bad." I was still not convince. Then he showed me a car that had the same problem and it... was.... really... BAD!! So I did as he suggested and the problem went away!! He could have told me it was the head gasket and try to get me to get the repair but he didn't. He gave me a free examination of the issue, free advise, fixed my issue, and made no money from me! I don't care what you say, I trustworthy mechanic is rare and hard to come by. I won't go anywhere else. read more

Don't go here. Went to get my window fixed. The manager seemed like a nice guy, told me that the part I need was on back order, and that it would take 10 days. Since it wasn't urgent, I decided to wait. Well, the next day the manager calls me up and says, "Hey! We got your part!" so I make an appointment to bring my car in there, and, since it would take half a day to fix the issue, I took the day off of work. Well.... I show up to Glenn's Auto Center at 8AM and the manager tells me, "The parts still on back order..." Then why did you say you had it two days ago? Why did you not call me last night, when I could still call in to work and say I would be in the next day? He didn't have answers for these questions and was entirely way too cavalier with his wasting of my time for me to ever want to do business at that place again. Do not go here.
