This place is great! I was not happy with a previous smog/repair place I used to go to. Every time I went there it took forever and they somehow always messed up something in my car. Glenoaks Smog Check on the other hand, is a breath of fresh air! I stopped by one Friday and was helped right away. The man there told me they'd smog check my car right then and that it would only take 15 minutes. Well guess what, it really did only take that long. And I was able to wait in the waiting room of the car repair place that's next door to them. When they were done, the man explained that my car passed and he transmitted the test to the DMV already. I paid ($58) and was on my way. All in all, I was in and out in less than half an hour. And I haven't had any issues with my car at all. Great experience here. We have taken our cars here a couple of times now. Always fast and efficient service. This year, I had a light on and Arman (I believe that is his name) said the car would not pass smog with the light on. He could have easily not told me and I would have paid for a failed smog. Instead he was honest and I really appreciate that. He went as far as giving me tips on what it could be. Starting with the cheapest possible fix which was a new fuel cap. When that didn't work I had to have the car looked at. There is a mechanic in the same location and they were able to diagnose my car and fix it within just a couple of days. They were also very honest. Once my car was fixed and I drove it for a while, I took it back and it passed smog right away. I highly recommend going here. They are honest, efficient and the prices are fair. read more

Right upon arrival, I was greeted very nicely by a man who told me where to park my car. Gave him my paperwork and license and he sent me inside the waiting area. Very comfortable, he estimated it will take 15-20 mins for the smog check. Very nice service so far! It was extremely quick, I was in an out in 15 mins! Armen was very nice and professional. We needed a smog check early Saturday morning and two places we went earlier advertised that they open at 8am but were not. We called around and found this place. Armen answered the phone right away and was available to service us with a super short wait. Upon arriving, we noticed that the place was organized, not too cluttered with vehicles packed in and nowhere to park. We appreciated the professional appearance of the place and a clean and spacious waiting room perfect for social distancing. He charged a fair rate and got the job done. Unfortunately, Two Star Smog Check for me. I just checked the info...Nowhere in CA law says that you have to return to the same smog station where you got your first smog check if your vehicle did not pass. I moved, so this smog station was closer to me. Although polite, the owner refused to do a recheck even though I followed the instructions from the first test. This was also something that should have been noted during the phone call before my visit. The reason for refusal of service is because my failed test lowers their score as a station. Pretty much, the issue was because my new car battery wasn't triggering the monitoring system. So be aware that if you didn't do your initial smog check at their location, service will be refused.
