Great service, great drinks, and the best pizza I've had in decades!…read more The beers Backwoods makes are all delicious and smooth-drinking. The service staff was all exceptional. But the pizza! Off the charts!, FULL REVIEW of all Services: If anyone who enjoys hiking, river fishing, or just a general outdoor-focused vacation wants a good, simple getaway with their spouse/loved one, check out the Backwoods brand in Carson, Washington (just north-northeast of Bridge of the Gods/Cascades Locks). Backwoods Cabins offers a really great overnight stay option. The 8 cabins there are all basic "two-room" designs (bedroom and attached bathroom, and a living room / mini-kitchen room). The cabins sport king-sized beds, a gas fireplace and outdoor fire, a mini kitchen with refrigerator/freezer and microwave (no stove/range). I think 3 of the 8 cabins welcome dogs. The Backwoods brand also owns Backwoods Brewery, which is just across the road from the cabin property. They have great microbrew beers (from light lagers to GREAT stouts!). The brewery also has a smokehouse, with fantastic smoked brisket, pulled pork, and house-made sausage/brats. But even better, the Backwoods Brewery offers the BEST PIZZA I've had in decades. The pizza dough is a perfect balance of flavor and texture. It's not too thin and not too thick. The crust is chewy in the middle, with a great crusty edge and base. The red sauce (they also have a white sauce we didn't try) is thick and rich, with a few tomato chunks. It's got a slight spicy bite with a sweet finish. They also have some unique house pizzas. We tried the Whistle Punk - Red sauce, bacon, smoked brisket, peppadew peppers, sweet onions, fresh mozzarella rounds - and the Pepperoni Express - Red sauce, pepperoni, mushrooms, tomatoes, banana peppers, smoked mozzarella. Both were outstanding. I'd go so far as to say both Donna and I deemed these the best pizzas we've had in 35+ years (noting that our first date was at a pizza joint in Fife we both thought was the best-ever pizza). If you stay in the Backwoods Cabins, you get two coupons for free drinks at the brewery (beer/wine/cider/cocktails) as well as an assortment of snacks for your hiking adventures, and a full S'mores kit to use over the gas fire pit. And if you are in a dog-friendly cabin, you get complimentary treats, and water/food bowls for your canines.

Gluten free review:…read more Came here after a hike because I believe in balance, climb a hill, eat a pizza. Thrilled they had gluten-free options. Tried the Tree Hugger 10" GF pizza and it was genuinely tasty. The crust? So good. The staff? Kind. The price? About $20, which felt a little "ouch," but the pizza did not, and that's what matters. The place was fun and great ambiance. Take a fun trip and go try this place out.

$74.00 - 3 people for breakfast. Served on paper plates with a blending of plastic utensils to use…read more And fancy plastic cups. Sausage omelette....... GIRL! This three egg omelet, Excuse me. This three egg sausage omelette consisted of one singular sausage link. This lonely singular individual sausage had been sliced and diced into 4 pieces and GENEROUSLY sprinkled inside my omelette with peppers and onions. The sausage in this Omelette had me feeling as if I had Gone fishing. "Ya catch anything?" No! Few bites here and there. Overall, the omelette wasn't bad, but I do expect a $20 omelette to represent its worth. Served with toast and hash whites ... I mean hash browns. These hash browns were definitely more of ... clash browns . Stale, soggy, and unpleasant.. just like the missing sausage this hash was missing the brown and crispy desirable and necessary elements. The next item up forbid was the breakfast sandwich!!! For I did not order this sandwich nor did I try it being the lack of quantity and volume of sandwich. But....GIRL!!! she was dainty and dry like sausage she was all alone. Like a lonely, single child with no siblings to play with à la carte. No sides.. again lacking representation of price the sandwich needed a PR team. Winner winner, chicken dinner, THE PANCAKE!!! For I did not order those pancakes either, but I did have a bite being that there were two pancakes à la cart with no sides, consisting of coconut and pineapple. Best pancake I've ever had. Wildly overpriced... One cup of Baileys and coffee One milkshake- The shake had this shaved ice quality about it. Little ice shards throughout it with each sip. Outside seating was nice with multiple extra large picnic tables to choose from next to a little creek of water. Service was fine. When I mentioned to the cashier that the price seems like highway robbery he met me with a defensive response and found it very unappreciated and told me that they are the end of the road. And each individual does get a menu to look at. No His response was unusual and interesting to think about and interpret. Does you're the end of the road mean you can charge and put out any quality for any price and it's all good because you're at the end of the road and the only option? I understand tough times /economy/price of goods/profit margins. But price should represent what you receive. If you like casinos or playing cards this is the place for you. It's definitely a gamble!

They came topped with Parmesan crisps and were sautéed in a light, flavorful oil that was so delicious we couldn't stop eating them. I ordered the apple risotto, which was outstanding. It was creamy, perfectly cooked, and beautifully balanced by the tartness of the apples. The apples were cooked just enough to complement the richness of the risotto without overpowering it. My son ordered the clams and couldn't stop talking about how wonderful they were. My husband had the Friday prime rib special, and it was cooked perfectly. The sides were excellent, especially the asparagus. He also ordered the house salad with the house dressing--an herb-infused oil and vinegar dressing that was absolutely delicious. To finish, we shared the five-layer chocolate cake. It was everything a great chocolate cake should be: moist, light, and rich without being overly sweet. It wasn't the kind of dessert that leaves you reaching for a glass of water after every bite just perfectly balanced and incredibly enjoyable. The gorgeous views, warm ambiance, and attentive, friendly staff made the evening even more memorable. Every part of our meal exceeded expectations. We will absolutely be back and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a wonderful dining experience.

Excellent high end meals with unique, passionate and impressive service and quality. Worth a visit…read moreif you're in the area looking for a top meal. Don't think of this as a golf club restaurant but more of a top choice for a nice dinner or nice meal in the area. My wife, mother and I were staying at the resort next door to the golf course and decided to give Isadore's with no prior research. Being from Seattle, the menu and approach from Isadore's and their effort to be a high end restaurant serving unique high quality cuisine was terrifying. In Seattle, a restaurant with this type of approach is going to be awful, pretentious, tiny portions and expensive. Isadore's was the direct opposite with stunningly unique food, excellent service and a very warm inviting vibe. We enjoyed Isadore's so much that not only did we eat dinner here but we returned to enjoy their lunch menu the next day. The people working at Isadore's were truly a cut above as everyone we met from the host, to our waitresses, to the other service people, to the Head Chef, to the owner were already incredibly friendly and extremely passionate about Isadore's and taking care of their customers. The host was a very young lady who could not have had a better attitude and who was so friendly to us. I was also highly impressed with how hard she was working always cleaning or doing something while not attending to her hosting duties. Our two waitresses were spectacular with good humor and great effort taking care of us. The real reason I am writing this review is the steak I had here was one of the best I've had in recent memory. An incredibly unique blue cheese crust with Portobello mushrooms on top of a flavorful perfectly cooked NY Steak. I've have never had a blue cheese crust on a steak before and it absolutely rocked my socks! My wife ordered the same thing and she has been known to hurt people and start fires when her steak isn't cooked correctly. Both of our steaks were nailed with complete perfections at two different temperatures. Exceptional! We tried lots of different things here. My wife loved the clams she got. The different types of bread were all awesome! My mother was raving about this place during the entire trip. Out of everything we had here across Dinner and then lunch the next day, everything was great to exceptional. Really had no expectations walking in but walking out was completely blown away. Isadore's hit it out of the park in virtually way. My mother was even raving about how fancy she thought the bathrooms were. We really loved Isadore's and would go back any time we're in the area!
