My daughters both had 2" taken off the length, and one only had a bang trim. I was applauded when I was told the bill was $90! I did read the menu prices on the wall and knew that they consider a child 6 years or younger only; I understood that I had to pay women's prices for my children. The price listed on the wall was that women's haircuts start at $30 and go up. Since there was no layering and their hair is shoulder length, $30 each child was appropriate. The nice woman, whose daughter's wedding is next year, yelled from the back that she asked me if I wanted the girls' hair washed and I said yes. I did, but there is no price listed on the wall for hair washing. I am 49 and never, ever have I been " a la carted" for a basic hair wash when my hair is cut. I then went on to itemize her reasoning: $30/child's cut, and $15/ child's basic hair wash. Did I buy the bottles for the week! After the staff all spoke in Hindi so I couldn't understand, they said they'd charge $5/ child's hair wash. I had only $20 bills in cash on me and didn't want to use a debit card, so I handed over $80 and left. The $10 I left was the tip. Horrible, Horrible, Horrible business ethic. Never again!

Just look at the photo of how uneven my eyebrow is. I'm crying because I didn't have my contact on while there, and I'm going on a trip. I have a rash on my arm because she put the wax on my entire forearm, it cooled down, she waited and THEN tried to take it off. Also my upper lip area was bleeding. I thought it would go away but the skin is actually nicked. When I tried to tell them all of this they were incredibly rude. Like I would come back for a fix 30 mins away when my eyebrows are already so thin an uneven, and I have a rash. If I knew I'd have to tweeze it, I wouldn't have wasted my time and money. The place isn't sanitary either. They also OVERCHARGED me $5.99 on my CC.

The space is tasteful, the bathroom serves its purpose. To be sure, you come to Face to Face NYC not for the "spa experience" but for the men. In my case, Ray. Frankly, I'd much rather have Ray's masterful ministrations upon my flesh, and the aching muscles underneath, than some artifice constructed to "relax" me. Besides, if you aren't relaxed after a few minutes with Ray, there's little hope that anything else might help. Before a massage, I usually tell my masseur that I am quite ticklish. I explained this to Ray before we got down to business. And as he administered the most amazing massage I have ever had I was completely surprised to almost never get tickled. Unlike any massage before, mine at Face to Face NYC with Ray felt like it was really designed for me. It involved a great deal of stretching which felt amazing. And Ray is superbly intuitive and also has a keen understanding of anatomy. And he's wicked strong. Where other massage therapists feel like they're simply going through the motions, I felt like Ray was very present and had a genuine desire to leave me feeling better than he found me. I think Ray is actually gifted for this kind of bodywork. In a way that I, personally, have not experienced before. I had a massage elsewhere a week later and the entire time on the table I could only think of Ray. It is possible that he has ruined me for all others. Many thanks to Enrique, Face to Face NYC's owner, for treating me to such a transcendent experience!
