So it's been 7 yrs since I wrote my last review for Oriental Nails By Camy. Camy's Nail Salon is run by a close knit, hard working, family. There's Camy, her husband Tom, and Camy's mom Tracy. They know what they're doing and do it extremely well. Plus there's laughter, and that they actually care about every single customer. I've seen walk-ins get excited when asked if they could wait, or come back in an hour. Ive also seen, and spoken to other regulars who agree that Camy's is the best. After an hour at Camy's I always feel better. Did I mention the compliments I get about my pretty pink toes. Oh, My sisters come down from Jersey, I take them to Camy's too. Not one complaint. I made an appointment at Camy's for a powder dip mani and regular pedi on the recommendation of a friend. It was a fantastic experience! I got into a fender bender on the way there so I was over an hour late. They were so kind and accommodating and still were able to fit me in. The gentleman did a meticulous job on my manicure and then handed me over to one of the ladies for an arm massage. Bliss! She also did my pedicure. The foot and leg massage was heavenly. My nails are flawless. 9 days later and my manicure is still perfect. My pedicure is still perfect. Everyone working there was so kind and wore masks. I can't wait to go back! read more

So glad I found this salon on Yelp! I called this morning and asked if there was any availability for a last minute appointment. They squeezed me in 15 minutes later! I arrived, was immediately greeted by name and sat right down to begin!Tom was great. Personable, friendly, knowledgeable and had attention to detail. I couldn't be happier! I will be back in two weeks for a fill. Definitely recommended. Updated after 6 months of visits - Tom is always so patient with me when I come in for a fill. I change shape almost every visit and he fine tunes the nails to the way I want them. He never rushes the set, which many other salons often do. I appreciate his appointment method, as it allows him to focus solely on each customer. I will continue coming every 3 weeks! Camy is great too. She's so sweet & helpful and always welcoming. The two stars are for the fact that they were nice. The lady who did my pedicure didn't scrape the cuticles away from the nail bed, didn't clean under my nails, nor did she trim my cuticles. She was about the put polish on and when I asked if she was going to do my cuticles, she said she did, but if i wanted she could do more. I pointed to a few toes that had glaring cuticle overgrowth and she barely touched them again. I let it go. Unfortunately I won't be coming back here. read more

I was here a few days ago saw pictures on yelp thought I give it a try while on vacation. Very polite when I first cane, Although my nails felt weak after I left that my nail broke off after a couple days. I went in for a repair was told they where to busy. I believe to busy for two finger repair. I'm sure had I said mani or pedi it wouldn't of been a problem. I would of understood if they said wait but didn't offer a thing. So long. Never again. I've been to two other nails salons since relocating back to our home here in Sarasota. I left both times disappointed and with a horrible nail job. Today I had an appointment with Tom, they say third time is a charm! Finally found someone that listens to what you actually want done and has follow through. I took a photo of what I wanted done and he was able to replicate it. That takes talent as I know being a Cosmetologist myself. I've been getting my nails done and toes painted here for almost 2 years now- I LOVE Camy and Tom!! I drive about 30 minutes to their salon because I love it so much. They do excellent work, are so, so friendly and their salon is extremely clean, friendly and inviting. They have a nice range of colors to choose from- both gel and non-gel (mostly OPI which is my favorite brand). I get pedicures done every couple of months and it's by far one of the most relaxing pedicures I've ever had. I will not go to another nail salon in the area. read more

called in and asked for camy but she was booked that afternoon. ok, so based on the glowing Yelp reviews I decided to try this place anyway. big. mistake. first, only one other client was there at 4:15pm Friday afternoon. at my regular salon, all chairs would be filled and the place buzzing. second, only OPI colors; no Essie. happen to love Essie. I should have walked out. I get pedicures regularly: every two weeks, so my nails are cut short and my feet are in good shape. the tech didn't do much in terms of shaping or smoothing out the nails; cleaning around and underneath the nails was sloppy and fast. I had to point out the areas she missed cleaning and filing. as to the color application, it is one of the ugliest pedicures I've ever walked out of a place with. you can judge for yourself. no color in places, a horrible filing job, and the edges are rough and uneven. it's a pedicure even I could better myself. I can't believe the great reviews on this place overall (unless they're for camy only), but the female tech (who told me she had been there for 7 years!!) gave me one of the ugliest peds I've ever had. when I get back to LA on Monday, will breathe a sigh of relief to get another at my regular shop...and will NEVER go back to this place in Sarasota! stay away and save your $$. read more

I LOVE THIS place. It was referred to me by a friend & I went and was extremely impressed. Not only did she (Camy) do a wonderful job with my manicure (I have short, real nails) & get gel polish, which is slightly more than regular polish. She gave me a neck & shoulder massage while my nails were drying. Then gave me an arm & hand massage with lotion. It was extremely relaxing. I've also had a full pedicure as well which was the most relaxing experience of my life. She used hot stones & I almost fell asleep. Great for stress relief. I highly recommend this business to everyone looking for quality mail work and friendly service. They go above and beyond which is what makes them excellent. Walk-ins ok but this is a busy place, so I recommend an appt. read more

I got an acrylic fill by tom and a pedicure by his mother. Wrong pedicure I've ever has done in my entire life . My toes looked like they were painted by a child ! Sloppy and uneven , she didn't clean my toes what's so ever . My toes looked WORSE after I left with a " pedicure " I was disappointed because the reviews on yelp were good . Now let's get to the acrylic fill...... tom RUINED my nails !!! When he used the machine to clean the nail up he took of layers of my natural nails and I was actually in PAIN getting my nails done . I waited for 3 weeks for my nails to grow out so I can see the damage that has been done. You can see that the is the dent where the acrylic nail starts and it's pink which is NEVER okay to look like that . That means my nails are barely paper thin underneath.. I have to figure out a way to save my nails.... almost forgot , one of the nails chipped after 4 days ( which was very odd , never happened before ) I called and asked to come in to fix it and they said to come in right away . When I got there I had to wait 15 minutes . Tom was SO rude , redid the nail but it looked HORRIBLE. They didn't match other nails what's so ever . So yup if you read this , save you money and keep searching !! read more

Pedicures are amazing!!! Long, long foot and calf massage which lets you zone out completely. They take their time and do a very nice job. Far and away the best pedicures I've ever had. Manicures, by comparison, are okay'ish. They do a pretty nice job on the massage and often do a quick neck & shoulder rub too, which is lovely. However, every time I've had a manicure here the end result has been a bit disappointing - polish on my fingers as well as my nails (I can do the same kind of job myself on the fingernail polish and I'm pretty uncoordinated, often ending up with as much polish on my fingers as my nails), and cuticles not terribly well trimmed. Very odd since the pedicures are so super. Camy, the owner, is so sweet. Everyone there is always smiling, friendly, pleasant and helpful. I'm disabled due to a back injury and they always remember that, offering cushions, helping me into and out of chairs, etc. This is an absolute must-try for a pedicure! Cannot recommend strongly enough for their pedicures. Try it, you'll be hooked. read more

Best (and longest) foot massage I've ever gotten during a pedicure and the acrylic manicure turned out thin and shaped exactly as I wanted. Very happy with my experience!! I went on here and read all the great reviews and was so excited hoping I had found a great nail place. I am actually very disappointed in the work. My nails look awful to me . Now I have to deal with them for 2-3 weeks until I can go somewhere else and have them taken off and redone. Really loved this place at first, but as a regular patron for both pink and white and pedicures bi-weekly, they just never have time when needed. Tom is the only one who does pink and white out of the three employees even there so I'm either left sitting and waiting for him to finish up or booking 2-3 days in advance. Noticeably, I did end up w some start of fungus under my nail which made me question their cleanliness all together. Several times a broken nail on several different fingers. Gah. His nails are good but not great and I've had better in the area. The only thing this place as a whole is good for are their massages both for mani's and pedi's. Unfortunately, I'm headed on a hunt for a new nail salon. read more
