Here's an excerpt from the promotional poster, "How do you find redemption when someone you love has committed a terrible crime? A story of healing, hope and compassion". The other play is Confederates, Los Angeles Premier... written by Suzanne Bradbeer and directed by Christopher Hart playing from now until December 16th 2019. Confederates appears to be a drama. Here's an excerpt from the promotional poster, "A young and ambitious reporter uncovers a compromising photo of the daughter of a presidential candidate. An older colleague urges him to publish it immediately while the daughter and his conscience tells him to bury it". Tickets for these shows can be purchased online at www.gtc.org Maybe, I'll give GTC five stars if I ever watch a stageplay there, but that's not today. Visited 12/9/2016…read more Purchased Fill a Seat LA during the summer and FINALLY used it for the first time last night. VERY difficult to find this place!! I used my WAZE and it took us to the Recreation Center! We decided to drive around the block, but my WAZE still took us here! I decided to park and we walked towards the recreation center and what do we see?!?! A small sign with an arrow pointing towards the back of the Recreation Center. We followed the path and found another sign and there it was.... The Grove Theater!! Looked REALLY small from the outside. When we entered the theater, you right away are in the lobby/intermission area. They sold cookies and drinks only. Small seating area, but nicely done and looks cozy. The theater looks new. The seats were comfortable. The theater states it holds 99 seats which I found hard to believe. By the time the play started (we saw A Christmas Carol), the theater was about 1/4 full. The play itself was well done with only three actors. It's amazing what they did with their "costume changes" utilizing their red or green scarf. The male actor changed his character just by messing up his hair and changing his voice and mannerisms! The play was well done and I would highly recommend it. No intermission. Only 90 minutes. Never a dull moment. Plenty of free street parking. They have their own parking lot, but I don't have a clue as to how to get to it!! We would definitely return.

As for the venue, the Sunday performances require masks and when a customer in front of me inquired about it the staff member indicated that they offer Sundays for those customers who want to wear masks. Doesn't make sense to me because if a customer wants to wear a mask during any performance in this venue they should be able to. Upon that said, there were a few customers not wearing any masks (again, makes no sense). The other con is they offer refreshments for sale at reasonable prices; however, you cannot take them into the theatre. I have only been to one other theatre that did not allow food nor drinks so you have to arrive early if you want refreshments or you can purchase during the intermission but have to hurry to finish up. Although staff was friendly and informative, the venue was cramped although plenty of seating is available. I doubt I will patronize this theatre again unless it was a "to die for" performance showing.

We were greeted by Kent, a very friendly gentleman who met us at the door and answered all our questions. The staff served snacks before the show. This was our first visit to the Victory Theatre Center. The Theater seats were very comfortable, a great sound system, and Elena is a very talented singer. We will definitely return to this very friendly theater and we hope to see Kent again.

We saw that there was a play called Jane Austen Unscripted being held outside the theater in back of the building. 8 of us decided to go and got a table just in front of the stage. It was lunchtime and local stores and restaurants provided some munchies, one per person, like fruit tarts, berry scones, a cupcake and cucumber tea sandwich. When reading the "program" we saw it was going to be improv with members of the Impro Theater, and as we've been to improvs before we know that it can be great or not so much. We, and every table at the show, thought it was a fantastic show. The actors did a great job that had us laughing and enjoying it to the 10-star degree. We understand that there's a bit of a different show based on the actors and audience response, but our show was great! It's still playing for a little while so if you can and like Jane Austin and improvisation definitely go see it!

This acting thing is tough (and rough)... Especially if you're new to the industry and starting out as a newbie. So much to figure out - classes, getting representation - the who and the hows, how to market yourself - the what and the where... and then what happens when you get an audition, or callback?! I've learned so much from Brian and the team at BCAS. Brian has had a long and successful acting career. He's figured it out and is passing on his wisdom. Lucky us - the BCAS team lays it all out there. I remember visiting (auditing) different acting schools as I tried to find THE ONE. BCAS was the third studio I visited. Being someone who has major social anxiety, it took a lot for me to put myself out there - but when I walked in, I immediately felt as if I found my acting home, my "family". Brian, John, and Jill knew each student by name. They even knew who I was when I walked in on Day 1. I was impressed. Observing the format of the class, how Brian led and shared raw notes throughout the session, his humor and/but also seriousness with his art, how the group was focused, supportive and positive, and the professional equipment and recording set up, I signed up for my first cycle that evening. I was done auditing any other class/schools. I'm still at the beginning stage of my career in acting, but I know with the Brian's guidance, the different courses/services that the studio offers (accelerated program, assistance on eligibility to become Sag-E, etc.,) my career will move forward. No doubt. As a note: BCAS won't do the work for you. They'll be there as a tool and resource for you to succeed. But YOU have to put in the work. So there's that. Get to work. As I tell my kids, "If I'm not having a blast, I'm not doing it." Good Luck friends!

I was in Los Angeles for the weekend looking for something fun, cheap, and entertaining for my…read morepartner and me, and we stumbled on this little gem. We watched Consensual Emu Comedy Improv, at this place. It's perfect for an early dinner date night in Burbank. There are plenty of great restaurants nearby, and you can even bring water bottles and sealed drinks (so they can't spill) into the venue to enjoy during the show. The comedy group was genuinely hilarious, taking prompts from the audience and turning them into a fully improvised musical comedy performance. They're incredibly creative and talented with on the spot humor. We were laughing throughout the entire show. One of my favorite moments was the impression of Teresa the Jersey Psychic woven into a skit. These performers can pull wild ideas straight out of their brains and instantly turn them into comedy gold. If you've ever been to Second City in Chicago or Vegas, or the Laugh Factory, this show is in that same spirit of fast, clever, character‑driven improv. And at only $8, it's an amazing date‑night option and a great way to support local performers. Highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area.

Good to be back at WB to be in another production that will air in the Fall…read more First time for me at the WB Ranch location. Can't talk about it, but it takes a lot of hard working talented people to pull off a new quality TV series. Special thanks to the staff that constantly cleaned the restrooms during the day so that whenever I used it--they looked like they were just cleaned. And the food service craft people that prepared for me a custom egg white omelet with veggies for breakfast and delicious baked chicken, broccoli and potatos for lunch to power my 13 hour day here. This location has a special place in my heart because it has the, "I Dream of Jeannie" house and Stage 31 where the "Partridge Family" was filmed--two of my favorite shows from the past. If you are coming here to work, parking right inside Gate 11 is plentiful and has a few large tree covered spots. Just down the block outside the Studio is: Western Bagel which opens very early in the morning, CVS, a Pizza Place, and 2 Gas Stations across the street with convenience stores.

I saw "Finding the Burnett Heart" here, which the owner starred it. It was an excellent production.
