One of the best UV tanning salons I have been to! Your first visit they solicit you slightly about buying lotions and packages but as soon as decline, they do not push sales! I found out about Glo Sun Spa through a Groupon that included 2 spa services and a year of basic UV tanning. I purchased a lotion on my first visit and they extended my package to include a month of Luxury-level UV tanning and 8 additional spa services. I have indulged in the HaloTherapy, Hydration Therapy, and Oxygen Therapy so far and just those 3 services are totally worth even the full-priced membership. The service at this location is AMAZING! Clean Great beds Sometimes busy with chatty cathys who have to ask 1000 silly questions, so there will be a wait. The problem I have it: are they serious? Closing at 6pm on a Saturday ? Huh ? Some of us work weekends and need evening hours to tan. I like to get my tanning done while my boyfriend is at work and noooo. Ridiculous and no excuse to close that early. Best Tanning Salon I've visited. I move all over the US and I've been to all sorts of chains...this is by far the best. Only place I'll tan! I Love this place! It has given me time to relax when I have been out of work due to an injury. Tammy is so amazing and knowledgeable about all the products and equipment. She does not rush you or pushy when coming to sell the products. She is very nice, caring and made great suggestions towards my needs for pain control. The place is so neat and clean. All the machines are Amazing! I highly recommend this Salon. It has reasonable prices for all that is included. I will not be going back to DT. Tammy and her staff try to get to know you. So I just made the switch from DT to solar lounge. When I informed Darque tan I would be going to Solar Lounge, DT tried to bad mouth them.. I'm so glad I did not listen!! I have a medical reason for tanning due to my skin condition so this is a vital part of my life. I called solar lounge a few weeks ago and Tammy answered the phone, she knew I was t quite ready to switch yet but she still took so much time with me over the phone. She was sooooo helpful and kind. So I went in to sign up finally and met Gabby. She was so energetic and enthusiastic about the beds and amenities (which are endless!!) (they are even building a hot yoga room inside the salon) she showed me the whole salon and told me about all their products WITHOUT coming off pushy. Well to say the least I did not sign a new contract with Glo but I got a bill as if I did. I will be taking further action. Hands down the number one place to get your tan on in Nortwest Houston. I'm no tan expert or know-it-all by no means but my experience here for the past 7 months or so have been top notch. I've been to few other chains over the years and was dissatisfied with the facility and customer service. Solar Lounge exceeded and beyond. Their establishment is very clean, sanitary, comfortable and a nice charming ambiance. Convenient safe location with plenty of parking. Open 7 days a week at reasonable hours. There is never a wait. I signed up for the monthly package about three weeks ago and I am ready to give my yelp review. I must say I am pleased, Solar Lounge is clean and uses all effective hygiene with clean towels and robes. Solar Lounge offers bed, stand up and spray tanning, a hydrating bed like a sauna but laying in a massage bed, Slim-IT body Wrap bed yes it gets hot but it felt great. They also offer Beauty Angel Red Light therapy to help out with that cellulite! The only thing I have not tried is the spray tan, I am pleased to say I have found the last "tanning" place I will be visiting because I will not be going anyplace else. Ashley and Tammy are very friendly and knowledgeable and have made some very good recommendations. If you are looking for a tanning place that is a full service lounge then give them a chance you may like what you find, I did. read more

I had a horrible experience at Darque Tan and was in desperate need of a spray tan before leaving for a trip. I was in a bind and yelped tanning places and found this place. I saw the awesome reviews and I called to be greeted by a nice girl who explained the prices and I told her I was on my way. The place was super cute and cozy and I was able to meet the owner. She was great. They offered me the deals they do with the spray tans but I was in such a rush and didn't have the money to pay extra at the moment. First, I'm extremely picky on my salons! I moved from Chicago 5 years ago and wanted to try tanning to even my tan lines out. I did some research and looked into a different tanning salon first, tried them and didn't care for their beds, service or cut throat selling they had going on. We moved from Houston, TX in June of 2015 no patronage for a year and a half, the business collecting free money, we are not even living in the same state. After asking the account be closed and collecting 329$ The owner's solution to the request to shut down the account pay my late/ collection fees.
