Been here a few times. I come for the basics: mani and pedi. Each person I have had does a wonderful and detailed job. Not sure if you want to come here for all the designs and other trendy things, but they do the care, in my opinion, very well. The shop has about 4 manicure seats and about 10 pedicure seats. When I came in on a Sunday, 3 people were working and managing about 4 customers (including me). They were doing a very good job being attentive to each customer. Overall the place was clean and well maintained. The shops is right next door to a donut shop, smoke shop, liquor store, Church's Chicken and a gas station, perfectly set up to all your needs. Overall I would recommend this nail salon to anyone that's in the area and needs a little maintenance on one's toes and hands. They care for each customer and get you in and out. I came here with my mom; we called ahead and were able to get a mani-pedi appointment at 5:30. By 6:45, it felt as though we were being rushed out the door with wet nails (we did a regular polish, not gel). Let me start with the good: The deluxe pedicure was good/average; I'm a fan of the polish work, the massage, the chairs, the hot towels; the hot stones were lukewarm tho, and the salt scrub was rather light on the "scrub." Where they need improvement? Quit 'cutting' corners. My manicurist didn't file/shape my nails after clipping them -- she just started the polish as if I wanted blunt-cut nails. I had to stop her and remind her to file and shape my nails. That's never happened to me before. As for my mom, her manicurist put three coats of gloppy paint and no clear coat/quick dry. We told the owner as they were closing, and she asked that we come back the next day. By the next day, both of our polish was chipping. Overall, it was sloppy manicure. If you do decide to go to this place, take your own polish, and keep an eye on their work. Speak up if they try to take shortcuts. read more

So I tried this shop after reading the reviews. Now I wasn't immediately impressed upon entering because the atmosphere was just "ok" it was warm inside and I just came in from the heat. But whatever. I was greeted immediately and only had to wait a moment before someone asked about my desired color. So before I review the rest of my experience, let me state that I'm not petty- just an observer. Pros 1. Everyone was friendly to the customers. The man at the door always apologized and offered future appointments for walk-ins they couldn't service. 2. I appreciate how the tech carefully shaped my nails. She also asked several times about what I wanted to ensure my satisfaction. 3. The process was quick which I appreciate since I just left work. Cons 1. My nail tech's hands were clammy which kinda grossed me out since it was already warm inside. 2. 2/3 technicians shared the basket of nail tools which presents a hygienic concern for me. Sharing nail files and drill bits which tear nails and sometimes nail bed skin seems unsanitary. 3. I did not see anyone change towels after customers. I came in to get a refill and asked how long the wait would be; I was told it would be 5-10 minutes, I was waiting for 30. I proceeded to get my services and asked for my nails to be matte. Instead of giving me what I asked for, the technician did what he wanted to do and put gel over them. my nails were previously coffin shaped and this is what they look like. The place is very clean (they put a new liner in the foot tub for each client), staff is super friendly and hilarious, and my toes look beautiful. Been going to this place for about a year now. LeAnne is my go to girl for mani and pedi. But because got busy at work haven't been for months. And yesterday i came and sadly LeAnne only works there once a while. Decided to go ahead and try the other ladies. I then met Elis (hopefully i spelled her name right) but she did my half leg wax; which let me say, she is very thorough (love love it) she didn't leave any long hair whatsoever and looked my legs through before letting me go. She also did my nails and can't say enough about this lady. She is good! I would have given the place 5 start but the nail polish the used on my feet was almost gone and they probably need to just make sure to get new refills for their almost done nail polishes. I've been looking for "my" place for almost a year now. After some hopping around and hitting up places based on referrals (and location convenience) I've finally found my new nail services home. Their prices are very fair, the assortment of shellac colors are plenty, and the ladies are super sweet. I'm most impressed with the Texans design that GiGi freehanded and how super sweet all the nail techs were with my 5 year old daughter. The salon itself is clean but not uber fancy. Not a bad pedicure, but I wouldn't go back here. They have a big selection of nail polish, but at least half are cheap brands. Not a lot of OPI or Essie polishes. Also, the massage chairs are cheap and feel like they're going to break. They do put plastic bags in the pedi bowls, which I like. However, cleanliness around the salon itself isn't great- there's dust balls every where. For what you would pay here, you can get a great pedi somewhere else. read more

Lotus helps every person that enters with a warm greeting!!!! Their gift is that they never want people to wait. Walk-ins can get an immediate treatment. Now, I've been to SEVERAL nail salons and have left on occasion feeling that one nail just wasn't perfect and I was intimidated to say anything. NOT ANYMORE!!!!! Dr Z or just Z (the owner) demands that if there is any issue (which I haven't seen ladies complain), he will fix it!!!! He is amazing when it comes to customer satisfaction as long as you tell him. I am kind of surprised that they've gotten all 5-star reviews prior to mine. I definitely didn't get good service, let alone 5-star service. I showed up around 3 in the afternoon to get a mani/pedi. When I walked in, they asked me how they could help me and they asked me to pick my color. I informed them I was looking to get shellac so they handed me like 2 different giant key rings with tons of shellac colors. This is a good thing, because many places are very limited in shellac colors. Anyway, I sat down in the chair in the lobby area to start sifting through the colors and I wasn't sitting for more than 30 seconds before they asked me to to move to the big pedicure chair, Also, not a bad thing. This is when things turned for the worse. One lady started working on my toes while another lady set the stuff up to do my fingers. This was all within less than 2 minutes and I'm still sifting through the massive quantity of colors. Once the manicurist got her stuff set up she sort of just stared at me as if she was wanting me to hurry up and pick a color, so I gave her my right hand so she could go ahead and get started. It's not like I wanted to spend all afternoon there anyway, but at this point I already felt somewhat rushed. Nobody turned my chair on either, but whatever, all this could have easily been overlooked. Then the manicurist was rushing (Mind you, there was AT LEAST one, if not two workers there sitting around not working on any customers, so I'm not real sure what she was hurrying for) and during the cuticle part she ended up cutting me. So of course anything she put on my hands from that point on stung/burned. After she cut me, she slowed down a smidge, but still didn't go out of her way to do a great job. She filed my nails and and they were beyond crooked. In fact I pointed them out to her and she filed them down a little more. While they were no longer as crooked, they still weren't straight. About halfway through the manicure, this lady moved to work on someone else's pedicure and another younger lady came to finish my hands. This new chick was having some issue with her kid so she kept making phone calls while she was doing my hands. Then at some point the lady who was doing my toes put the little lamp over my foot and didn't tell me and I couldn't see over the pillow that they put in your lap to do your hands. When I felt her grab my left foot I moved my right foot and my toe hit the lamp. I told her right away what had happened and even apologized that I had messed it up, but seriously, I had no idea that my foot was under the lamp and she just tells me it will be fine and continues on without doing anything to correct it. Also, at one point, the lady who was originally working on my hands calls out to me while working on another customer to ask me if I want to get my eyebrows done. I'm sorry, but how about instead of trying to upsell me on something else, you focus on doing a good job on what I'm ALREADY paying you for??!!? Then IF you provide good service, I'll be more inclined to request additional services and come back for repeat business. Basically, I walked out with a cut finger, crooked and rough edged nails, nail polish on my skin, and some nails missing polish on the side of the nail. I also, of course, had a discolored bump in the polish on the toe that hit the lamp and some spots on my finger nails where the polish wasn't spread thin so it was very thick/lumpy. On top of all of that, aside from asking me if I wanted a bottle of water, trying to upsell me on an eyebrow wax, and giving me directions on where to move my hands/feet, not one of the three ladies so much as spoke a word to me. I thought this odd, being that previous Yelp reviews mentioned how genuinely friendly they were. The price I paid for a shellac mani/pedi would have been a GREAT price at less than $70, had I walked out with a nice finished product, but it was way too expensive for the crappy service I received! I gave them two stars because they had lots of shellac options, got me in and out pretty quickly, and offered me a bottle of water. But, really, that's being generous and I definitely will not be back. read more

Today I decided drop in while waiting for someone who was getting a haircut next door.. they told me their prices and I was really happy because it was cheaper than most places for a full set. I was kinda scared too cuz I thought maybe the price reflected the service but before walking in I read reviews and they all looked good so that's why I decided to go ahead and give it a try. They sat me down right away and Linda did my nails.. she did a fantastic job. My favorite thing about her was the fact she asked me if I wanted the powder thick or thin! This is one of my biggest concerns when getting nails because I personally hate thick acrylic! So when she asked me I was like THIN pleaseee! Lol she did them exactly how I asked and I really love them I got a full set with regular polish and a coffin shape at a very affordable price! They offer shellac for a good price as well but I only get nails for like special events and then I take them off.. so that's why I didn't need to spend The extra money on gel.. but I am very happy with my nails! So, My sister and I were looking for a Sunday afternoon nail spot. We found this salon on Yelp and off we went. I went in to inquire if they had time for 2 fills and 2 pedicures. I was told yes. We were excited to try a new salon. We were seated for our pedicures and everything began well enough. My sister's technician was warm and welcoming to us both. She was friendly and offered us a drink while we chose the treatments we wanted. We picked our colors and I explained to the technician what I needed: my real nails were shellac but were too weak. I asked if they can do an acrylic overlay. I was told it would not be a problem. My pedicure began. My pedicurist seemed a little impatient with me. Not knowing the process of my upgraded spa pedicure, I didn't know when to take my feet in and out of the water. She would impatiently sigh and tell me what to do. My nail technician came over and stated she had to do my nails at the same time as my pedicure. While I don't like to do that, I said ok. My nail tech had THE NASTIEST attitude. I mean...I felt so unwelcome. I would ask how she was and she would not even look at me. She would just give short, curt answers. I didn't even get her name. She was wearing a plush/fuzzy dust mask. She was NOT liking me at all and had no intention of speaking to me. She would jerk my fingers and pull my arm closer to her without saying anything. I have a bad shoulder so I couldn't maneuver the way she wanted me to. But of course, she never asked if I was ok. She asked for my nail color. I told her where it was (I couldn't reach it as she had my hand). She told me that the gel would dry quicker. I said that I was waiting for my sister, so I didn't mind drying. At the end of the service, she told me to stay in my spa chair to dry. I was drying away when about 15 minutes later, she quickly shoos me out of the chair to dry at the dry station. She flops my purse and jacket next to me and I politely say "Thank you" and she just walked away from me...ok. Time to pay comes and I check out, begrudgingly tip 15% and again say THANK YOU. I don't even get a smile. I have never walked out of a nail salon feeling "less than" before. Needless to say, I will not be returning. This one person ruined my opinion of the entire spa. My experience here was not great at all. First most when you go get mani pedi you want to be relaxed. This place is having someone work on your nails and feet at the same time. So uncomfortable on the chair because you have to twist to the side to give them your hand. And my nails literally looked liked an unprofessional worked on them. The guy who worked on my nails smelled cigarettes. Color was still left on my cuticles. Not cleaned up. They cut me twice on my finger and my toe. Never again will I go here. This is my 2nd time at Lotus. The first was for my daughters bridal party and it was an amazing experience. Today was the 2nd time. My husband and I went for pedis and then I did a mani. My husbands technician was wonderful! Mine however was not, I had massage envy watching his service. The girl who did mine was disengaged and uninterested. I was her first client of the day!! It was a truly. She didn't put toe separators on me and when I left I noticed a toe was smudged and my jell looked like it was done by a 12 year old. It's luck of the draw if you don't request a specified tech. Not sure I'll every recommend or return. Great potential but dropped the ball. You are only as good as your weakest link. read more
