9/12/19 I was stranded in Searchlight Nv in a work vehicle and was told Larry's Towing would be there in 60 minutes, after 2 hours went by I called to find out why they weren't there I was told it would be another 60 minutes. So I canceled him and was fortunate to have Steve from A&L Towing come get me within the 60 minutes and he even encouraged me to sit in his nice air conditioned truck while he loaded the vehicle. The one I got was covered with cigarette burns and smelled like a casino garbage can. I was quoted "under $100" for a two day rental. I only wanted one day but was told that there was a two day minimum. When I returned the car after one day (Which is what I TOLD THEM I wanted!!!) I was told that there was a $90. "Early termination fee". ON TOP OF THE TWO DAY RENTAL FEE! The cars are given to you on empty and I was worried that I wouldn't make it to a station before running out. Horrible customer service. Don't believe the 4 star rating. They will rip you off just like they did to us. Went to pick up the van we reserved and when we got there the car wasn't ready. The car they were supposed to give us had the side view mirror taken out due to the previous renter backing up into something. They said they can fix it in a couple of hours. They tried giving me another van but I heard one of the workers there say "You can't give them that one, it has a broken transmission." What the fuck?! I don't want no car with broken transmission if I'm taking it to another state, WITH kids as passengers. Then I see the manager tap the worker's shoulder and say "Don't worry about it." as if silently telling him to shut your mouth. I told them I'd rather get my deposit back but they refused to give it to me. I was there for 3 hours telling them I want my deposit back but they kept insisting they can give me the car. I rented a car from this operation and was assured before I even rented the car that if I had to bring it back early I would be refunded the extra days. When I brought the car back 5 days early I was again assured, by the manager, Mike, who handled my entire rental from start to finish, that the money would be refunded back to my debit card. I called several times, spoke to Mike, who assured me that their credit card vendor was just extra slow and that I would receive a refund within 10-14 days. Twenty-one days later, I went into the store and was informed by another employee that I would not be receiving a refund, as I had been charged the entire amount of my refund as an "early termination fee". THE WORSE CAR RENTAL IN THE ENTIRE FUCKING UNIVERSE! I made a reservation for a 7 passenger vehicle 2 weeks prior to pickup and went in to put a deposit to reserve the vehicle. MIKE freaking told me we would be getting a dodge caravan. To make a reservation took 2 hours. About 4 people are hired there BUT THEY DONT DO SHIT. The person who helped us his name was Mike and he was no use either. Our scheduled pickup time for the rental was 12pm. He told us to come in at 11am to give our insurance information and pay one last time. WE WERE AT THE RENTAL PLACE FROM 11AM TO 4PM. We were a) late to California b) we received terrible service from Mike because he was so unorganized c) HE DIDNT END UP GIVING US A DODGE CARAVAN FOR WHAT I PAID FOR. HE GAVE US A 2014 DODGE JOURNEY. It was already 5 hours from the time we were suppose to pick up the vehicle and said we couldnt get the caravan because SOMEHOW LAST MINUTE ITS COMPRESSOR WAS BAD. So he made us wait another hour and took my phone number and told my friends and I that he would call us back when he figured out the situation. HE DIDNT END UP CALLING ME ON MY PHONE SO I DROVE BACK TO THE RENTAL. When I went back to the rental an hour later (AFTER ALREADY BEING DELAYED BY FUCKING MIKE FOR MY RENTAL CAR BY 5 HOURS) HE HAD NOOOOOOO UPDATED INFORMATION ON THE VEHICLE AND ALL HE SAID WAS "IM SORRY IM DOING MY BEST" and legit he wasn't even fucking trying. He was sitting there and was helping others even though we were one of the first people at the car rental place WITH A FUCKING APPOINTMENT FOR THE CAR WE HAD PLANNED BY MIKE. We were suppose to leave at 12pm to California, we ended up leaving at 4:30pm AND THE VEHICLE WE GOT SMELLED LIKE WEED AND ITS ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON. When I went inside the rental place and told Mike the car smelled like weed he said "oh that's just the air freshner" I was like "BOY YOU TELL ME WHICH PLACE WOULD SELL AIR FRESHNERS THAT SMELL LIKE WEED." At that point I was honestly done, I couldnt stand in that rental place anymore. The vehicle he gave us which wasn't the vehicle I reserved was a piece of shit and he said it was the best car he got out there. The cars trunk is the size of his brain (which tells you how small it is) and the brakes were so bad I don't even know how we made it to Cali and back alive. So Mike said since he made us wait so long he would compensate us a bit and return us back some of our money. Well that was another lie made by that small sized brain guy. He said he would return $300 of our money back if the car had no odor and was kept clean. The car was in perfect condition when the vehicle was returned. He ended up giving us $262. HE CLAIMED WE WENT OVER MILEAGE WHEN HE FUCKING GAVE US 1000 miles to use. We paid for extra miles before hand. The car was at 79,100 when we checked out the vehicle. We returned it at 79,909. SOMEONE TELL ME IF IM DOIN THE MATH WRONG. 79,909-79,100= 809 miles. Is that 1,000 miles? I THINK NOT. he claimed we went over 125 miles so we ended up getting $262 back out of our $300 he swore we would be getting back. When I told him he lied he said "no I did secretly give you `1,000 miles. But when you confronted me about it my boss heard. Technically you were suppose to get 700 miles but I gave you 300 extra and you told my boss and threw me under the bus." Literally the stupidest thing I've heard all day. He said he had to take money off of our $300 we gave him cause apparently his boss heard that we got some free mileage. okay first of all, the rental contract states "100 miles per day" plus we pre purchased 700 miles. So if we rented the car for 3 days that's 300 miles (100 miles a day) plus an extra 700 what does that give you?? ONE THOUSAND MILES. THIS GUY NAMED MIKE IS A FUCKING SCAMMER WHO WENT AGAINST ALL RENTAL POLICY. I would sue Global autos if I could, but I don't want to have to deal with that place ever again and I have a feeling it's going to get shut down soon anyways so I'm not even gonna try.
