I use to love coming here before I moved away 8 years ago, so I was happy to see not much had changed. I came in with 4 others on a Thursday night and found a seat up on the elevated stage like area. We had a great waitress who was very helpful and on her game. My friends ordered the charcuterie board and absolutely loved it. I got the Bavarian pretzel that was delicious. Our waitress suggested fabulous beers to try and we had a wonderful night. I look forward to hitting this place a lot more often. read more

This is my favorite bar in O'Fallon, which is sort of unfortunate since it's really expensive. The beer selection is top notch with a huge tap wall and rotating selection. They have a large variety of craft breweries big and small from across the country (and internationally on occasion). The staff here is pretty solid in both attentiveness and knowledge. I do wish they put the type of beer on the board, but you can look everything up online. They also have added a small kitchen that focuses on sandwiches, cheese boards, and tater tots. I highly recommend the artichoke dip! Fyi for people, the kitchen was added in 2017(ish) and this place is not known for its food. You also have to order at the counter (think of it like an indoor food truck). You can also bring in outside food. It's really more like a dive bar in terms of operations. The one star reviews about the lack of table service is a bit over exaggerated once you know you have to be the one to order (especially if you're at the bar or outside). Table staff has been fine for me everytime I have been here otherwise. The interior is very nice with a large bar top and several tables. There are several large TVs above the bar, which does make it a convenient spot to watch the game. There is also a small outdoor patio with a fireplace/fountain. They do trivia every sunday night and it can get loud. There are also various events during the year. I love coming here and usually leave in good spirits (lol) except when I receive my bill. Craft beer prices are not advertised (only their ABV), so when you get a $30 bill for three drinks it hurts. Is it overpriced? Most definitely. Is it a good time? Yes. Despite the price tag, I still highly recommend this location. It's far better than the Edwardsville one in terms of aesthetic. read more

This is one of the few beer-centric establishments in O'Fallon. They have a wide variety of beers both on tap and by the bottle, and the bartenders (beer-pourers?) could give reasonable suggestions when asked. Strangely, it was only half full on a Saturday night - I shudder to think what a slow night is like here. It's a nice space despite being in a strip mall, fairly warm and inviting with a firepit out back. They have some limited food choices (various gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches, smothered tater tots, etc.) which I didn't try but looked tasty. First of all, anyone complaining about prices is smoking crack. This is a great spot. A solid mix of local, cross-country and import craft beers. Beer is served in its proper glass. Paulaner Hefeweizen in a proper .5L Weizen glass? Done. Oh and $6. I'm from the DC area and was so glad to have access to beers from both coasts, the heartland AND Europe. The staff is mega-friendly, it is always extremely clean, and they have some of the most fun events! Patrick, the current manager, always has the best local, national, and global beer options! They feature different breweries and offer a handful of taps from that brewery. It's an amazing way to introduce new beers to the area and give people a taste of all the varieties of beer that one brewery can make. For instance, last night when I went, they were featuring Sweetwater Brewing Company. They are out of Atlanta; I had never heard of them but tried their uh-mazing "New England Style IPA" and a lighter spring style beer called "Grass Monkey." I love evenings when they have live music, especially because they have a nice patio. On cooler nights they have a big fire pit, and when it's warmer, they open the patio doors. Soooo, I'm in a Yelp conundrum... I stopped in here one evening to have a small meal before a meeting. I asked the barmaid for cider recommendations, and ended up picking a Blood Orange cider that was just AWESOME. And I ordered the Buffalo Grilled Cheese which was pretty crazy good! The reason I say crazy is 'cause it had havarti and blue cheese, spicy pulled chicken, and cranberry relish on it. Cranberry relish you ask? Why, YES.... Cranberry relish!!! Sounded quite weird to me, but turned out to be a fantastic combination of flavors. VERY good! Now, the conundrum... I had a sandwich. It was a normal sized sandwich, like what you'd make at home. It came with a pickle spear. And a small glass of cider. Less than 8 ounces I would think. Total, before tax or tip: $15.50. Would love to have given them 5 stars, but felt it was a bit too pricey. I know the ingredients weren't your normal everyday items, but the prices still seemed too high, even taking that into consideration. Beer selection is impressive, so that bumps this review up to two stars. The service here was terrible. The server didn't know much about the beers here and couldn't answer many questions. She didn't have a very good attitude either. Our table (all women) was ignored for the hour we spent here. I noticed that the other tables that were all men were being tended to regularly. She never asked us for a refill or if we liked our beers. Finally had to yell and waive her down to get our check. Maybe the key to good service here is to have a penis? The service was awful! We went in and we had to seek out a bartender that directed us to a board with beers listed but no descriptions. Another patron was told she had to download an app to find out what all the beers were. The worst part was, they weren't even busy! Place had a few tables full and a few people sitting at the bar. The " bartender", a woman, didn't even glance our way. She was standing, just to the left of us, taking to a customer, who was sitting at he bar, about absolutely nothing. By far my FAVORITE bar. I use the term bar loosely, because it is so much more than that. I have never seen a beer selection like that of Global Brew...I have yet to drink a beer I've already tasted (partially because I am a member of the United Nations and going for 100 different types). They don't serve food -- no problem. They are totally down with you ordering a sandwich from Jimmy Johns and munching while you sip your amazing beer. Overwhelmed and don't know what to order? Tell your server what types of beers/flavors you enjoy and they will hand select you a winner. The one downside for me always seems to be parking. It's very limited in the front. read more

I like this place. I don't really think it's the place to go for people that don't like loud music or expect to talk much. I do think they could turn down the music just a little. I ordered the Rogue Yellow Snow which I had to give the husband. I just didn't like it. I ordered a Bells one and another Weiss Bier one. Those were my favorites. We waited over 25 minutes for a waitress so I finally just ordered the first one from the bar. I hope the service improves. I won't knock it since it was opening day. Eventually removed them but after a debate. Feels like a wasted Friday night. YES they have a lot of great beers!
